Central to this discussion is the means by which feminist authors regard the influences of patriarchal institutions and the subsequent changes in society because of, or in spite of, these changes. In this thesis, I will therefore investigate several aspects of gene expression evolution, with emphasis on our own species. After almost two decades of writing realism, Lessing started writing what she calls ‘space fiction’ in the late 1960s in the final section of The Four-Gated City (1969), and she did not stop for over a decade, wi

A series of simulations with a population genetic model showed that equality of the sex ratio may be maintained in a dynamic equilibrium by frequency dependent selection acting on such a gene.
