In an effort to help understand the mechanical properties of human platelets, their deformations were measured using micropipette experiments over an aspiration pressure range of 1-5 cmH2O, in steps of 1 cmH2O. The experiments confirmed the previously reported linear relationship between deformation and pressure. The purpose of the present investigation was to determine the net passive elastic joint moment and the angular damping coefficient of the human knee joint in full range flexion-extension. A secondary purpose was to develop regression equations to predict the measured passive properties from anthropometric data.
