Although international human rights declarations exist, violations of human rights are still sad but also common facts around the world. But for repressive regimes, it becomes more and more difficult to hide committed human rights violations, since society entered the "Information Revolution." This study argues that the volume of international information exchanged influences a country's human rights record. In recent years, the potential to speed up legal processes via Machine Learning techniques has increased. Consequently, this study serves to investigate different NLP and ML methods. It does this by building a model that predicts whether or not an article of ECtHR has been violated, based on the texts of the published case law. The 10 member countries launched the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights in October 2009, a little less than a year after the ASEAN Charter was ratified, bestowing the organisation legal personality.
