Full textMaking web pages available for different types of devices is an area that has arisen with the development of smartphones. In recent years it has become a major increase in units and there are no longer only laptops and computers that are being used. Since there is a size difference between the different devices there is need for adjustment depending on the device to provide a good user experience. The study was carried out as a qualitative study to identify available technologies. A review of available literature and interviews with developers at the companies Nethouse and Laget.se was conducted to obtain information on the performance of the techniques, if there is any way of thinking and if there is advantages and disadvantages of the techniques. The conclusion is that all technologies have their uses as they have different strengths and weaknesses. The results from this study are presented as a review of the existing technologies and their potential uses to guide the choice of technology.

Full textHybridasp är en korsning mellan europeisk och nordamerikansk asp. Det är ett snabbväxande trädslag som har påvisat god tillväxt i södra Sverige. De uppföljningar som har gjorts på hybridaspbestånd har främst varit på plantmaterial i södra Sverige. I norra Sverige har det endast gjorts enstaka undersökningar och kunskapen om de nordliga hybridaspbestånden är därför bristfällig. I södra Norrland har markägare planterat hybridasp, men vilket plantmaterial det är och hur dessa bestånd har etablerat sig, är i dagsläget osäkert då det inte finns någon sammanställd data över detta Undersökningens syfte är att utvärdera praktiska planteringar av hybridasp i södra Norrland avseende höjdtillväxt, överlevnad och skador. Målet är att öka kunskapen om praktiska planteringar avseende höjdtillväxt, överlevnad och skador och utifrån slutsatser av detta ge rekommendationer för framtida etableringar av hybridasp i området. För studien lokaliserades åtta hybridaspbestånd i södra Norrland. Bestånden inventerades, markägarna intervjuades och materialet sammanställdes och analyserades. Höjdtillväxten per år varierade i bestånden mellan 0,4 och 1,1 meter och var i medeltal 0,6 meter. Överlevnaden varierade mellan 41 och 100 procent med ett medelvärde på 70. Andel skadade stammar varierade mellan 0 och 85 procent med ett medelvärde för bestånden på 27 procent. Avgångarna förklaras av markägarna till största del beror på sorkskador, vilket tidigare forskning styrker. Undersökta hybridaspbestånd i södra Norrland påvisar varierande resultat vad gäller höjdtillväxt, överlevnad och skador men överlag ett resultat som gör trädslaget intressant som alternativ till de traditionella trädslagen.

En av dessa metoder är hybrid utvecklingsmetod. Metoden medför dock stora förluster i prestanda, särskilt för äldre enheter, vilket ofta ses som en avgörande egenskap vid val av utvecklingsmetod. Det här arbetet undersöker vad som påverkar prestanda hos hybridapplikationer med fokus på starttid samt hur det kan optimeras. Prestandan testas med hjälp av en molntjänst som tillhandahåller en distribution av fysiska smarttelefoner.

Full textThe mobile industry is constantly changing, which has led to a fragmented market that smallbusinesses have difficulties to successfully establish in. Small businesses have had problemswith developing qualitative applications for different mobile devices. The main reason is theresource intensive process to develop native applications for multiple platforms andmaintaining the different codebases. Thus, smaller companies have usually chosen to developweb applications to deliver services to a more widespread target audience. Hybrid frameworkshave established themselves as a potential solution for developing mobile applications withhigher performance and functionality than web applications, while allowing developers to sharecode between platforms. In this study, employees of three smaller companies were interviewedto identify shared requirements held by small businesses to select a framework for applicationdevelopment. Based on the requirements, three hybrid frameworks were compared with thepurpose to identify which one was most suitable for small businesses. The results showed thatsmall businesses are different with varying needs and that there is no specific framework thatsuits all companies. On the other hand, it was found that all three hybrid frameworks comparedin the study were sufficiently developed to be implemented as potential solutions. With thatsaid, hybrid frameworks are not without flaws. Applications developed with hybrid frameworksdoes not yet achieve the same level of performance as native applications and is not platformindependent to the same extent as web applications.

Full textO mercado de flores e plantas ornamentais tais como cróton (Codiaeum variegatum) e petúnia (Petunia×hybrida Vilm.-Andr) apresenta-se em constante desenvolvimento tecnológico, caracterizando-se como um dos mais promissores segmentos da horticultura. A adubação, visando o aumento da eficiência do fertilizante e redução de perdas, são temas de estudos em todo o mundo. Assim, foram realizados dois experimentos para avaliar o uso de fertilizantes de liberação controlada (FLC) no crescimento de duas espécies de plantas ornamentais e a perda de nitrogênio por lixiviação. O primeiro experimento teve como objetivo avaliar fontes e doses de FLC e solução nutritiva no crescimento de cróton e a concentração de nitrogênio (N) na solução drenada dos vasos. Os resultados revelaram que a solução nutritiva e as menores concentrações de FLC proporcionaram o maior crescimento das plantas, e as taxas de N perdidas por lixiviação foram superiores para o tratamento com solução. O segundo experimento objetivou comparar estratégias de adubação que proporcionem nutrição adequada durante a fase de produção e do consumidor com menor custo, as quais incluíam FLC e solução nutritiva. Simultaneamente, foram realizados dois experimentos para avaliar a liberação de nitrogênio pelos fertilizantes, sem as plantas, nas condições de cultivo das plantas (estufa) e em câmaras de crescimento sob três temperaturas de incubação. Os resultados mostraram que durante a fase de produção todos os tratamentos resultaram em plantas nos padrões comerciais, e no período que simulou a fase do consumidor as plantas que receberam apenas solução nutritiva durante a fase de produção apresentaram deficiência nutricional, enquanto com os FLC as plantas cresceram vigorosamente, principalmente para os tratamentos com as maiores doses. Os fertilizantes avaliados apresentaram diferença quanto à temperatura na liberação dos nutrientes, sendo maior a taxa de liberação quanto maior a temperatura. De acordo com os resultados o FLC proporcionou o crescimento das plantas na mesma proporção que a solução nutritiva, com uma redução na concentração de N por lixiviação e acréscimo inferior a U$0.065 no custo por planta quando utilizado FLC durante a produção.

Full textThe water management is a major practical possibilities to achieve significant increases in productivity unchanged in terms of occupied area. For the floricultural industry despite being considered a competitive and profitable activity, studies on the optimal water needs for different species is scarce, and studies and research. Thus the present study aims to identify water management suitable for crop production Alstroemeria x hybrida in pots with substrate. Analyzing its response in yield and quality of the buds. The experiment was conducted under controlled conditions in the Floriculture Industry Polytechnic College of UFSM - RS. They were used vessels of 20 l, with one plant per pot Alstroemeria x hybrida, variety Firenze. The experimental design was completely randomized, with 16 replications and five treatments, totaling 80 experimental units. Throughout the cycle evaluations were made (destruction) of a vessel of each treatment to monitor the development of both shoot (leaf area) and the underground part (rhizomatous structure). Comparison of the results was performed by analysis of variance and regression using the software SISVAR. To evaluate the water consumption were set limits 30, 45, 60, 75 and 90% of the maximum water retention of the substrate in the vessel (CRV), and verified the measurement of moisture of each vessel by the method of weighings of each vessel individually, seven days irrigation interval. The evaluated factors of production were: length and diameter of flowering stems; fresh and dry weight, number of flowers, leaf area and root development. They also determined the reference evapotranspiration and crop coefficient (Kc) in different phenological stages. The results showed that water consumption is larger as the availability rises and is influenced by weather conditions; the crop coefficient (Kc) showed average values of 0.39 and 0.41 for the growing season and early flowering respectively 0.95 for flowering 1.51 for the full flowering and 0.74 for the fall of flowering; water availability of 90% is recommended for the production of long stems, the parameters number of flowers and diameter of the buds did not differ between treatments. The water availability changes all the root structure of Alstroemeria; It is not advised commercial cultivation of Alstroemeria on vessels of up to 20 l.
A prática de manejo da irrigação é uma das principais possibilidades para a obtenção de aumentos significativos de produtividade sem mudança em termos de área ocupada. Para o ramo da floricultura apesar de ser considerada uma atividade competitiva e rentável, os estudos sobre a necessidade ideal de água para as diferentes espécies é escasso, sendo necessários estudos e pesquisas. Assim o presente trabalho tem por objetivo identificar o manejo de água adequado para produção da cultura de Alstroemeria x hybrida em vasos com substrato. Analisando sua resposta sob rendimento e qualidade das hastes florais. O experimento foi conduzido em estufa climatizada no Setor de Floricultura do Colégio Politécnico da UFSM RS. Foram usados vasos de 20 l, com uma planta por vaso de Alstroemeria x hybrida, da variedade Firenze. O delineamento experimental foi inteiramente casualisado, com 16 repetições e cinco tratamentos, totalizando 80 unidades experimentais. Ao longo do ciclo foram feitas avaliações (destruições) de um vaso de cada tratamento para acompanhar o desenvolvimento tanto da parte aérea (área foliar) como da parte subterrânea (estrutura rizomatosa). A comparação dos resultados foi realizada através de análise de variância e regressão utilizando-se o software SISVAR. Para avaliar o consumo de água foram estipulados limites de 30, 45, 60, 75 e 90% da capacidade máxima de retenção de água pelo substrato no vaso (CRV), sendo verificada a medida da umidade de cada vaso pelo método das pesagens de cada vaso individualmente, com turno de rega de sete dias. Os fatores de produção avaliados foram: comprimento e diâmetro das hastes floríferas; massa fresca e seca, quantidade de flores, área foliar e desenvolvimento radicular. Também foram determinados a evapotranspiração de referência e o coeficiente de cultura (Kc) nos diferentes estágios fenológicos. Os resultados obtidos mostraram que o consumo de água é maior à medida que a disponibilidade se eleva e é influenciado pelas condições meteorológicas; o coeficiente da cultura (Kc) apontou valores médios de 0,39 e 0,41 para a fase vegetativa e início da floração respectivamente, 0,95 para o florescimento, 1,51 para o pleno florescimento e 0,74 para a queda do florescimento; a disponibilidade hídrica de 90% é recomendada para a produção de hastes longas, os parâmetros número de flores e diâmetro das hastes florais não diferiram entre os tratamentos. A disponibilidade hídrica altera toda a estrutura radicular da alstroemeria; não é aconselhado o cultivo comercial de alstroemeria em vasos de até 20 l.

Full textMacrophomina phaseolina is a generalist ascomycetic fungal pathogen, capable of infecting over 500 genera of plants and limiting yield in crops grown in Mississippi. Recent documentation of M. phaseolina on Impatiens × hybrida, a newfound host, has merited multiple experiments to quantify the exact nature of this relationship. Despite M. phaseolina being a soil-borne pathogen, disease symptoms were only reported in aboveground tissue. Mode of infection experiments revealed both above and belowground tissues are susceptible to infection. In vitro experiments identified the optimal temperature for the growth of M. phaseolina to be 26°C, where more than 10x the accumulated biomass resulted compared to samples grown at 37°C. Impatiens × hybrida hosts were particularly prone to infection at temperatures above 27°C. In vitro fungicide assays revealed Banrot and T-Bird to be suitable chemical control agents for limiting M. phaseolina growth.

Full textIn 2014 Russia, in front of the rest of the world, claimed and performed an annexing of Crimea. The larger parts of the western world were left in shock. Without any acknowledgment Russia moved forward with “little green men” and implied a different tactic. It was not officially war and nor peace, the fighting and the action took place in what was popularly named as the gray zone. This thesis is answering the following questions by using a qualitative document examination. From a strategic security perspective: How can the problem regarding hybrid threats in the gray zone be described and how does the national Swedish strategy respond to these threats? By reading and concluding existing theory about hybrid threats within the gray zone the authors have created their own model of analysis to utilize on the Swedish National Security Strategy. The model of analysis consists of the five main hybrid threats chosen from the theory presented by Treverton: Disinformation, Cyber-attacks, Economic pressure, Irregular armed forces and Regular forces.The thesis concludes that although unclear and found lacking in coherence regarding ends, ways and means; the National Security Strategy addresses and gives guidance on how to counter the effects of the above-mentioned threats. The Security Strategy also shows a consciousness regarding the complexity of the hybrid threats and the gray zone, without trying to define the actual area or methods utilized. When looked at through the model of analysis, it also highlights a possible new threat to be considered; environmental threats. The results of the analysis also indicate that it might be wise to use the term contemporary threats and the utilization of these, instead of arguing about definitions. The authors argue that it is of greater importance to create a larger understanding of the phenomena, in order to counter the actual effects by employing a truly comprehensive approach.

A demanda atual de plantas ornamentais e flores no Brasil ainda é muito baixa quando comparada aos valores consumidos em países do primeiro mundo. Enquanto um brasileiro gasta em média US$ 6,00/ano, um norueguês consome US$ 143,00/ano. O mercado de plantas ornamentais e flores no país vêm crescendo muito nos últimos anos. Para verificar o potencial de uso de recipientes biodegradáveis um experimento foi conduzido na área experimental do Departamento de Recursos Naturais/Ciências Florestais na Fazenda Experimental Lageado da Faculdade de Ciências Agronômicas da UNESP de Botucatu-SP. O experimento teve início em 09/08/04 e término no 22/09/04. Segundo os dados da estação metereológica da UNESP de Botucatu, SP, os meses de agosto e setembro apresentaram em ambiente externo temperatura mínima de 13,18ºC a 17,00ºC; temperatura máxima de 25,01ºC a 29,86ºC; temperatura média de 17,6ºC a 21,84ºC e umidade relativa de 45,38% a 46,53%, respectivamente. Inicialmente o experimento foi conduzido no interior de estufa (A) com controle de umidade relativa, que era coberta com tela de sombreamento de 50%. Para registro da temperatura no interior da estufa (A), foi usado termômetro de máxima e mínima do tipo capela (plástico). A estufa (B) tinha um agrofilme transparente de 150 micra para proteção das mudas, não havendo controle de temperatura e umidade relativa, foram utilizados termômetro de máxima e mínima do tipo capela (plástico) e higrômetro de leitura direta (plástico). Os recipientes usados para formação das mudas foram saquinhos plásticos de polietileno na cor preta (tradicionais) e tubetes biodegradáveis. Os saquinhos plásticos tinham 0,60 micra de espessura, nas dimensões de 10,00 cm de comprimento, 5,00 cm de diâmetro, correspondendo a 196,25 cm3 de volume sendo a parte interna completamente lisa...

Full textThe purpose of this study is to gain a better understanding of who these organizations and these social entrepreneurs who use sports as a means are. By using theory I will try to explain why these organizations emerges. As these organizations work across sectors, is it also interesting to know how they experience the collaboration with the public, private and non-profit sectors. Based on theory, I will try to explain why they experience the collaboration as they do.Most of the social entrepreneurs I have interviewed are not part of the traditional sports movement, or do not feel part of it, but they use sports as a means of solving various societal challenges, which traditionally have been the task of the welfare state. They have different forms of organization, and few of them have members in the traditional sense.I have done qualitative interviews with seven social entrepreneurs who all have started organizations that want to solve social challenges by using sports as a means. The interviews showed that what is characteristic of these organizations is that they all have different forms of organization. They collaborate with both the public, private and non-profit sectors. Several of the interviewees thought that the collaboration with the public sector worked well now, but in the beginning they had run into problems as getting in touch with the right administration and the right person in the municipalities. It was very person-based if the collaboration or relationship worked. Several of the interviewees feel that it is difficult to get a collaboration with the sports movement, and they feel that the sports movement is sceptical to them. At the same time, many feel that both the public sector's and the sports movement's attitude towards them has improved in recent years. They thought it was easier to get cooperation with the privat sector, the business community.To answer the purpose and the problem in this study, I have given a description of the historical development in civil society, the sports movement and in the Swedish governance. As a theoretical frame of reference, I have used theories of New Institutional theory, theory of organizational spaces and theory of hybrid organizations.
