Aside from increased throughput, efficient product regulation constitutes the primary function of a milling circuit control system. Kinetic (force balance) and kinematic (velocity field) analysis were performed to identify the relative importance of turbulence, convective, and pressure forces in these flows. This work was found to contribute towards improving particle separation efficiencies and reducing energy consumption.
