Full textThis work studies the end of the asylums between 1930 and 1950 with two local examples. Saint-Egrève and le Vinatier are two asylums different enough. Their administrations show the politics of public health coming from the departments of Isère and Rhône. Until the 50' insanity is treated with the notions of dangerous and poverty: asylum treats less than it takes in charge. Its reform will not only come from its administrators, who are conscious of its medical failure but from a general evolution as well (cultural, social, institutional,. . . ) that will change the insane person's status. The change in the consideration for the insane person improves medical researches and, after the enormous death rate during the Second World War; medicalization of the structure goes together with a humanization of the place, including as much the standard of living of the insane, than the evolution of the nurse team
Maugendre, Marjorie Aline. "Comportement de santé et motivation sportive chez les adolescents." Thesis, Metz, 2008. http://www.theses.fr/2008METZ005L/document.
Full textThe practice of a sporting activity is associated with better health but it can also be linked to health disorders among adolescents (substances use, anxiety, eating disorders). It is therefore necessary to identify what influence these health problems. To answer this question, five lines of analysis have been developed through the evaluation of the sport motivation (intrinsic and extrinsic) and achievement goals (mastery, performance approach and avoidance). A proposal for modelling the influence of these variables on the substances use among adolescents over a period of 20 months was achieved. This research was conducted among 526 adolescents aged 12 to 24 years. Data analysis has identified the essential role of sport motivation and achievement goals in the health disorders during adolescence. Take into account the motivational guidance that the young person sets up a sport, should improve interventions in sport and his well-being

Full textWhy are public spaces – streets, hospitals, offices, etc. – cleaned ? Understanding the stakes of cleanliness implies studying the way involved parties view it, both in their intentions and their implementation. During the thirty years following the Second World War, rising standards of living reduced the sanitary stakes of cleanliness, while growing aspirations forwell-being shaped the uses of space. Technological innovation fueled the growth of a new sector, industrial cleaning, as did the 1970s slump, which made more and more firms externalize their cleaning work to drop costs. The following decade saw an overhaul in the cleaning services of public institutions such as the Ville de Paris and the parisian authority for transportation (RATP). They made cleaning more ostentatious as dirtyness came to represent a lack of control over space. They increasingly involved the public in the effort towards cleanliness and in the definition of requirements, to fulfill quality expectations without unnecessary spending. Industrial cleaning also cared about quality in the face of tough competition and demanding customers. This resulted in performance contracting and new evaluation tools, reflected in regulation in the1990s.Many attempts have been made to better the condition of a disproportionately female, foreign-born – especially in the Paris region – and unskilled workers, in precarious employment. In the 1980s they were successful for public sector garbage collectors in Paris, but have been challenged since then. Obstacles to the professionalization of cleaning workers include the economic situation of their industry and the enduring perception that they aredoing a “dirty job”

Full textStained glass can be seen, nowadays, as a support for visual art that is particularly dedicated to liturgical celebration. Artistic responses to this incentive, highly diverse in nature, include a certain degree of technical experimentation with glass since 1980. Meanwhile, many were intrigued by the heterogeneity of artistic sensibilities represented in the pioneering experiment of Nevers. All these artists came up against the constraints of a theological programme, often for the first time, and met them with sincerity and respect. Father Régamey questioned the introduction, through different artistic means of expression, of manifest signs within the religious edifice. These interrogations are still topical today. The relations between Church and State are such that the foundations of a conciliation between issues of memory and modernity may be laid. Each contemporary artist brings a different answer, taking up a challenge whose principal difficulty lies in the integration of work adapted to a religious and historical architecture. A new interpretation is opening up, bringing with it a change of outlook
