Umar dikenal sebagai salah satu sosok Khilafah yang hebat dalam perjalanan sejarah peradaban umat islam, 10 tahun memimpin beliau berhasil memperluas wilayah kekuasaan Islam sampai ke wilayah Romawi (Syiria, Palestina, dan Mesir), serta seluruh wilayah kerajaan Persia termasuk Irak dengan pengaturan yang sitematis atas daerah-daerah yang ditaklukkannya. Kepimimpinan Umar ibn al-Khattab membawa umat islam kearah kemajuan dari aspek agama, pendidikan. budaya, sosial-budaya dan politik. Berbagai prestasi berhasil diraih pada saat puncak kepemimpinannya. Sosok pemimpin yang berani, pekerja keras, bijaksana dan memiliki sikap lemah lembut.. Keberhasilan Umar ibn al-Khattab memimpin umat Islam pada saat itu membuktikan bahwa beliau merupakan pribadi yang handal dalam bidang ketatanegraan. Umar ibn al-Khattab merupakan khalifah kedua setelah Abu Bakar as-Siddiq yang sukses dalam menjalankan amanat umat dalam menjalankan roda pemerintahan.</em>

Abstract:
Hadis sebagai perkataan, perbuatan, pernyataan (taqrir) dan hal ihwal Nabi Muhammad SAW, yang kini terhimpun dalam berbagai kitab hadis, merupakan sumber ajaran Islam yang kedua setelah al-Qur’an. Pada masa Nabi SAW, periwayatan hadis lebih banyak berlangsung secara lisan ketimbang tulisan. Hal itu memang logis karena apa yang disebut sebagai hadis Nabi tidak selalu terjadi di hadapan sahabat Nabi yang pandai menulis, di samping itu jumlah sahabat yang pandai menulis relatif tidak banyak. Ide penulisan hadis Nabi secara tertulis untuk pertama kalinya dikemukakan Khalifah Umar ibn al-Khattab ( w.23 H/644 M). Ide itu tidak dilaksanakan Umar karena khawatir, umat Islam terganggu perhatian mereka dalam mempelajari al-Qur’an. Kebijaksanaan Umar ini dapat dimengerti, karena pada masanya daerah kekuasaan Islam semakin meluas dan hal itu membawa akibat jumlah orang yang baru memeluk Islam makin bertambah banyak. Kepala negara yang secara resmi memerintahkan penghimpunan hadis Nabi ialah Khalifah Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz ( w. 101 H/720 M). Perintah ini antara lain ditujukan kepada Abu Bakr ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Ammar ibn Hazm (w. 117 H/ 735 M), gubernur Madinah, dan Muhammad ibn Muslim ibn Syihab al-Zuhri ( w. 124 H/ 742 M), seorang ulama di Hijaz dan Syam.

Abstract:
Bani Umayah is a dynasty founded by Muawiyah ibn Abu Sofyan. The name Umayyah is addressed to Umayyah ibn Abd Syams ibn Abdi Manaf, who was a Quraish figure during the era of ignorance. The reign of this dynasty experienced peace during the time of Umar ibn Abdul Aziz. He succeeded in uniting the warring groups. In addition, Umar ibn Abdul Aziz managed to eradicate the corruptors. This can be seen when Umar II fired offensive officials, one of which was the Governor of Khurasan, Yazid ibn Muhallab who committed evasion of provincial taxes. Umar II also replaced the second sermon at Friday prayers which previously denounced Ali ibn Abu Thali and his family, and replaced it with a verse of the Koran. The realization of peace and security of the people is the priority of Umar ibn Abdul Aziz rather than the expansion of power and the State. Research used by the author is to use library research, namely research whose data sources are taken from books and writings.

Abstract:
The paper was conducted to discover the nature of justice in the view of 'Umar Ibn Al-Khaṭṭāb and to reveal his ijtihād from the point of view of a philosophical theory of justice. This research includes philosophical research that is historical-factual about a character with the type of library research then analyzes and presents it in a descriptive form. This paper finds that the essence of justice in the view of 'Umar Ibn Al-Khaṭṭāb is acceptable behavior that is animated by the principle of equality. 'Umar Ibn Al-Khaṭṭāb has applied the principle of equality before the law. He treats reason and revelation in harmony and balance in his ijtihād. 'Umar Ibn Al-Khaṭṭāb drew inspiration from the intellect that Allah had given him by capturing universal values brought by the Koran, such as justice and equality, which are valid forever. This research contributes to the flexibility of 'Umar Ibn Al-Khaṭṭāb in ijtihād, which is imbued with the principle of equality.

Abstract:
Economics is an activity that can be said to be the same as human existence on this earth, so that then economic motives arise, namely a person's desire to fulfill his life needs. Economic principles are steps taken to meet needs with certain sacrifices to obtain maximum results. During the reign of Caliph Umar, the issue of zakat was not an issue. Even because there are many people who pay zakat, they can form councils, including military councils, social security for providing wages to employees. In this paper contains three problems. How was the economic condition of the people during the leadership of Caliph Umar, what were the forms of economic policy of Caliph Umar, and how was the influence of Umar's economic policies?. This research uses library research method (library research). The data sources used by the author are mainly primary and secondary sources. Then the author will analyze the data using a descriptive method, which is to determine the interpretation of the data collected in the form of rich words, not numbers. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the economic life of the Islamic community during the reign of Caliph Umar was the majority of economic activities with trade, agriculture, and industry. The policies of Caliph 'Umar bin al-Khathtab in the economic field include: the establishment of baitul mal, land ownership, Zakat, usyur, currency, sodaqah for non-Muslims, classification and allocation of state income. and The influence of 'Umar's economic policy cannot be separated from several factors: 'Umar's concern about economic issues, using deliberation in making every policy that is set, prioritizing the benefit of the people, and 'Umar is a responsible and ascetic person.

Abstract:
Umar ibn al-Khattab was one of the most controversial caliphs. He was a caliph that was courageous or "disobedient" to the text of Alquran and Sunnah literally. This disobedientside of Umar ibn al-Khattab brought up a serious reaction from the other companions. Toward this context, Umar ibn al-Khattab could be said as the liberal companion, because of his courage to re-interpret the sacred text. From the J.E. Gracias perspective, the way of Umar ibn al-Khattab interpreting the sacred text is a sophisticated reading, considering that at the time he had already been aware of the hermeneutic difference from other companions. This hermeneutic consciousness was able to make Umar bin al-Khattab placing the sacred text as a text that can be reinterpreted in accordance with the certain conditions and its maqasid can be taken. Thus, the sacred text revealed historically, is always sahih li kulli zaman wa makan.

Abstract:
Umar ibn Khattab is one of the four khulafa 'al-Rashidin who is famous for his stories of courage, firmness, and fierce impression. The identity of Umar's character is more popular than his political steps that are beneficial to Muslims. For this reason, this simple research tries to reveal the innovations and reforms of thought initiated by Umar al-Faruq, which include political, economic, and social-social ijtihad. In this research, the method used is a qualitative method by examining primary sources in the form of hadith atsar of the Companions, Date books, and secondary sources from journals, articles, and previous studies. The collected data will be analysed and described descriptively. Among the results of this research, it is known that Umar bravely broke down the old system while still maintaining the principles of the Quran and the Prophet. The reforms made by Umar were very significant for the development of Muslims, and their impact can still be felt today

Emphasising the significance of the gifts they brought to Bobastro, Ibn Hafsūn's headquarters, this article analyses the diplomatic relations between North Africa and Islamic Spain in the 10th century and the earliest introduction of Shī'ism in Western Europe. One thing that needs to be understood is that every result of human thought is always historical, tied to the space and time around it. The economic policies issued by Umar ibn Khat}t}a>b, Umar ibn Abdul Azi>z and Ghazan Khan must have certain truths in accordance with the dimensions of space and the cycle of time. However, the form of policy is an effort to solve the problems of the State, especially the economic sector that occurred in the middle of their leadership period. This article aims to examine the political economic thought of three caliphs, namely Umar ibn Khat}t}a>b, Umar ibn Abdul Azi>z, and Ghazan Khan with a historical approach. Political economic policy decided by Umar ibn Khat}t}a>b, Umar ibn Abdul Azi>z, and Ghazan Khan has a character that is flexible. It means however its method, during its goal to create welfare for the people and not in conflict with al-Quran and al-Sunnah, then that policy is applied. This was apparent when some of their policies are not always same as Prophet’s policy, even differ from each other, but with that difference, the world has recorded them as a brilliant decision maker. The policy of the three caliphs teaches us the ultimate determinants of the economic policy of the meaning of welfare (mas}lah}ah) which form the basis of the formulation of one policy. Rigid economic system will only become a separate boomerang for economic growth itself. Because the true that the holy economic goal is not economic growth, but the welfare of mankind as perpetrators of economic activity in this hemisphere.

Abstract:
Conflict over the Caliphate after the assassination of the third Caliph, ʿUthmān b. ʿAffān (d. 35/656), has remained a matter of serious concern amongst the Muslim academia and intellectual circles. This conflict resulted in schism among Muslims and caused two series of civil wars. These wars seem to have been a conflict of approaches (theological, socio-political and tribal) towards the Caliphate. ʿAbd Allāh b. ʿUmar (610 – 73/693), a famous companion of the Prophet, opted for an approach distinct from the prevailing various approaches. Besides his meritorious active role in restoration of peace and harmony, Ibn ʿUmar is a prominent scholar too. His command over the traditional Islamic disciplines (tafsīr, ḥadīth, fiqh, sīrah, tārīkh, etc) is exemplary. His life, traditions, viewpoints, and activities are prominently highlighted in the Islamic literatures. Despite the mention of Ibn ʿUmar in many sources reporting his peace promoting efforts, however, there is no comprehensive analytical research focusing on his role for the restoration of peace and harmony, its impact upon contemporary people and legacy in post-Ibn ʿUmar period. There seems to be a gap which this study aims to fill through a critical analysis of his views, activities and dealing with fitan through different measures. This dissertation deals with three aspects of Ibn ʿUmar’s life. First, the positive role that he played during the period of fitan. On the ground of the extensive Islamic literature in Arabic, English and Urdu languages, an attempt has been made to examine the nuances of his approaches to fitan through a chronological study of his life. Second, the impact of Ibn ʿUmar’s role during post-Ibn ʿUmar period. Based on the analysis of the comments on his approaches in fitan and on the comparison of his views with that of Ahl al-Sunnah, an effort has been exerted to measure his influence on later Muslim generations. Third is the leadership model that Ibn ʿUmar offers. On the account of the analysis of his leadership moments specially in fitan times and its comparison with leadership styles, it is aimed to examine his leadership style. Thus, this study argues that with his thoughts and leadership in the times of fitan, Ibn ʿUmar left deep impression on future generations.

A Fisiognomonia é uma arte (em árabe se diz cilm, também traduzível por saber ou, mais modernamente, ciência) que atraiu a atenção de inúmeros filósofos e letrados de diversas culturas ao longo da história humana: desde os egípcios antigos, os gregos, os romanos, os hindus até os árabes, todos esses povos que aperfeiçoaram o seu conhecimento e prática desta arte, exercida de diversas maneiras por eles, cada qual colaborando para aprimorá-la. Esta tese tem o propósito de ilustrar a colaboração árabe nesta ciência, apresentando uma primeira tradução comentada da mais importante obra árabe clássica que tratou este assunto. Como a simples tradução dessa obra já oferece, por si mesma, uma visão quase que satisfatória e integral a respeito da fisiognomonia entre os letrados árabes, o estudo anexado à presente tradução visa apresentar o desenvolvimento desta arte, expondo algumas semelhanças existentes entre os antigos filósofos árabes que abordaram o tema, e seus semelhantes em outras culturas, principalmente a grega. Para que tal tarefa se tornasse possível, foi preciso recorrer a algumas conclusões e afirmações feitas por estudiosos árabes modernos.
Physiognomy is an art that has attracted the attention of a number of philosophers and intellectuals different cultures, throughout human history: from the Ancient Egyptians, the Greeks, the Romans, and the Indians to the Arabs. Physiognomy has reached its climax with the Arabs, who have made an influential contribution to lift it out of its primitive stages. This thesis, which consists in the translation of an ancient book on the subject, is intended to show how the Arabs have contributed to this science. The book translated gives a satisfactory view of Physiognomy among the intellectual Arab. The study annexed to this translation intends to show how this art has evolved. Also, it intends to show the similarity, as far as dealing with Physiognomy is concerned, between ancient Arab philosophers and their counterparts in other cultures and mainly the Greek one. To make this task possible, one has to resort to some conclusions and affirmations by modern Arab scholars.

Abstract:
The main focus of this study is to examine the development of the theory of the institution of ḥisbah in medieval Islam. In particular, the study will provide an analysis and paraphrase of the work of Yaḥyā ibn ʻUmar (d. 289/901) which is considered the earliest source on the subject. The study is divided into seven chapters, an Introduction and a Conclusion. The Introduction explains the aims of this study and is followed by the discussions on the origin of the role of market supervision and the definition of ḥisbah. Next, works of medieval Muslim scholars and studies made by the contemporary scholars are reviewed. Chapter One discusses the life and career of Yaḥyā ibn ʻUmar, followed by an analysis of the two texts of his work; Kitāb Aḥkām al-Sūq and Kitāb al-Aḥkām fī Jamiʻ Aḥwāl al-Sūq. In Chapter Two, a paraphrase of these two texts is made. Chapter Three deals with the elements of ḥisbah, covering the discussions on the person carrying out the duty of ḥisbah (i.e. the muḥtasib), the person to be supervised, subject of ḥisbah's supervision and stages of ḥisbah's penalties. The remaining four chapters examine the duties of the muḥtasib. The duty of the muḥtasib to supervise the market is discussed in Chapter Four and Chapter Five examines his duty to supervise moral and religious behaviour. The discussions in Chapter Six is concerned with the supervision of medical professions while Chapter Seven deals with the administration of the city. This is followed by a Conclusion which summarizes the discussions previously made and presents the findings of this study.

Abstract:
The thesis is concerned with the study of Muslim treatment of Christians in Islam in general and in Islamic Jerusalem in particular. It conducts detailed research based on primary sources illustrating the juristic principles and rules. This formed the conceptual framework o f Muslim treatment o f non-Muslims which later became most useful in finding plausible explanations for ‘Umar and Salah al-Din’s treatment of Christians in Islamic Jerusalem. In order to provide more support for an accurate picture of ‘Umar and Salah al-Din’s treatment of Christians, the study further analyses some historical episodes of their treatment of Christians outside Islamic Jerusalem. The study discusses and analyses the steps taken by the Muslims towards the first and second conquest of Islamic Jerusalem, the situation of Christians in Islamic Jerusalem prior to, and the attitude of the Christian towards, both conquest, and the treatment of the Christians in Islamic Jerusalem after both conquests. As ‘Umar’s assurance of safety defines the status of Christians communities under the new Muslims rule and established the foundations of the way Muslims should follow when treating Christians in Islamic Jerusalem, the study examines and critically analyses the assurance using al-Tabari’s and the orthodox patriarchate versions. After discussing Salah al-Din’s preparation to liberate Islamic Jerusalem the study verifies the accounts of the communication between Salah al-Din and the Crusaders and analytically discusses the peace negotiations between Salah al-Din and Richard, the Lion-Heart King of England. Finally, the study concludes with a final discussion and summary of the findings, together with some critical remarks and recommendations. This study attempts to establish and develop new evidence for an academic debate concerning the Muslim treatment of Christians in Islamic Jerusalem, and to link the juristic principles with the historical facts relating to the Muslim treatment of Christians during ‘Umar and Salah al-Din’s era. The aim of this research is not only intended to make an in depth academic discussion, but also it is hoped that it is a significant contribution to and a valuable source of reference in this field.

Schlomo Ibn Gabirol was a Jewish thinker who lived in Spain under Islamic rule. His work was developed in the fields of metaphysics, ethics and poetics. The philosophical text, written in Arabic and translated to Latin as Fons Vitae, was used by the medieval Christian philosophers who, calling him Avicebron, did not known his origin. His poems, written in Hebrew, were incorporated to the Jewish liturgy. In 1847, Salomon Munk discovered that they were the same man. This has made possible the attempt to identify the sources which had influenced the several facets of the author s work, facilitating the contact with the central core of his ideas. The aim of this work is the reconstruction of the author s identity from the comprehension of his work as the reflex of a mystical quest. For such purpose, we use a methodology developed from Henri Bergson indications, who understands the Intuition as a philosophical method, which would be reached through a Mediating Image
Schlomo Ibn Gabirol foi um pensador judeu que viveu na Espanha sob o domínio islâmico. Sua obra se desenvolveu nos campos da metafísica, ética e poesia. O texto filosófico, escrito em árabe e traduzido ao latim como Fons Vitae, foi utilizado pelos filósofos cristãos medievais que, denominando-o Avicebron, desconheciam sua origem. Sua poesia, escrita em hebraico, foi incorporada à liturgia judaica. Em 1847, Salomon Munk descobriu tratar-se do mesmo homem o que permitiu a tentativa de identificação das diversas fontes que influenciaram as facetas da obra do autor, facilitando um contato maior com o núcleo central de suas idéias. A idéia que inspira este trabalho é a reconstrução da identidade do autor a partir da compreensão de sua obra como reflexo de uma busca mística. Para tal fim, utilizamos uma metodologia desenvolvida a partir das indicações de Henri Bergson, que entende a Intuição como método filosófico, a qual seria alcançada através de uma Imagem Mediadora

O conhecimento da história africana foi forjado, entre outras narrativas, por um conjunto de discursos formulados pelo Ocidente ou de fora de África que moldaram parcialmente o saber sobre aquele continente. As categorias não-africanas, muitas vezes, produziram uma visão distorcida e etnocêntrica do passado de África. Uma das formas de promover alternativas ao etnocentrismo ocidental ou árabe é abrir espaços para pesquisas de vozes africanas. Ibn Khaldūn (1332-1406) escreveu Kitab al-‘Ibar, uma das maiores composições a respeito da história norte-africana do século XIV. Partindo do estudo de sua narrativa histórica sobre dois grupos (os povos pretos e os povos árabes), buscamos entender quais são as balizas que subjazem a escrita da história africana em Ibn Khaldūn. Em função disso, pretendemos saber se a Kitab al-‘Ibar constituir-se-ia numa fonte portadora de saberes internos, aliados a uma possível visão afrocentrada, ou se se refletiria os olhares eurocentrados e araboislamocentrados sobre a África e suas populações.
Knowledge of African history was crafted, among other narratives, by a set of discourses formulated by the West or, in general, from outside Africa, which partially moulded what is known about the continent. Such categories produced a distorted and ethnocentrical perspective on Africa's past. One of the ways to promote alternatives to Western or Arabic ethnocentrism is to give space for research by African voices. Ibn Khaldun (1332-1406) wrote Kitab al-'Ibar, one of the largest compositions on North African history in the 14th century. Beginning by studying his historical narrative on two groups (the Black populations and the Arabian populations), we seek to understand what the marks are that underlie the writing of African history in Ibn Khaldun. As a result, we intend to discover is the Kitab al'Ibar would constitute a source that contains in-group knowledge, allied to a possible Afrocentered view, or if it reflect the Eurocentered and Araboislamocentered gaze upon Africa and its populations.

Fakhr al-Din al-Razi is a significant philosopher who is famous for his critics on Avicenna. He also made effective dialogues between two rival doctrines (namely Kalam and Peripateticism) in the Islamic world in Middle Ages. He defended Kalam Atomism in last decades of his life. This thesis is working on his two treatises as manuscripts and translating it into English. One of the treatises is about proving atom and another one is rejecting Hylomorphism. These two treatises are attached together as a manuscript book titled as Proving Atomism
Au Moyen Âge, dans le monde islamique, il y avait deux groupes d'érudits qui avaient deux indications différentes sur l'existence. Le premier groupe était des philosophes, ḥukamā, qui ont approuvé falsafah ou ḥikmah. Cette doctrine avait des bases aristotéliciennes. Un autre groupe était des théologiens, mutikalimūn qui était pour la plupart atomistes. Les théologiens constituaient le kalām qui se traduisait parfois par théologie islamique.Fakhr-e-Razi ou Fakhr al-Din al-Razi était un philosophe et théologien important au 12ème siècle qui a fait des dialogues et des débats entre ces deux doctrines. Il a écrit des critiques sur les livres d'Avicenne et a défendu la doctrine de l'atomisme de Kalam. Bien qu'il ait défendu l'atomisme de Kalam dans beaucoup de livres, il a écrit un traité indépendant sur ce sujet. Cette thèse est l'édition et la traduction d'un livre manuscrit qui comprend deux traités indépendants, dont l'un, prouve atomisme et un autre réfute Hylémorphisme.Cette thèse inclut des commentaires sur l'atomisme et l'hylémorphisme (l'introduction du livre). L'atomisme comme vue générale et l'atomisme de Kalam en particulier sont étudiés. L'histoire de l'atomisme est brièvement passée en revue en tant que racines de l'atomisme de Kalam. Puis la vue de Razi sur l'atomisme est étudiée selon ce livre présent et ses autres livres. Le contraste entre la vision de Razi et la doctrine d'Avicenne comme son rival sont également analysés

O Interpersonal Behavior Questionnaire-IBQ é uma forma de avaliar autonomia, competência e relacionamento de estudantes durante a aula de educação física e a influência dos professores no comportamento dos alunos. O instrumento é composto por 24 itens que utilizam respostas do tipo likert escalonadas de 1 (discordo fortemente) a 7 (concordo fortemente). Objetivo: Avaliar a confiabilidade do questionário Interpersonal Behavior Questionnaire. Abstract:
O reconhecimento visual de objetos em uma imagem e a habilidade de classificá-los é umas das principais áreas de pesquisa utilizando a inteligência artificial. Atualmente, existem diversos frameworks disponíveis para auxiliar nesta tarefa. IBM Cloud é um desses frameworks no qual oferece um amplo catálogo de ferramentas na área de inteligência artificial, uma delas é a IBM Watson Visual Recognition. Foi criado um modelo através dessa API que utiliza algoritmos de Deep Learning para analisar imagens. O objetivo principal do modelo é o reconhecimento de oito tipos de objetos distintos em linhas de distribuição de energia. Todas as imagens utilizadas no experimento foram coletadas em aproximadamente 10 regiões diferentes da cidade. Os resultados obtidos no modelo criado no artigo foram comparados com o classificador geral da IBM. A taxa de acerto foi de pelo menos um componente reconhecido corretamente em 33 das 40 imagens utilizadas para testes, ou seja, classificou corretamente 82,5% do conjunto de imagens testes, apresentando uma acurácia acima de 50% para o objeto reconhecido. Os serviços utilizados para todo o experimento são do plano lite, gratuito. Logo, este artigo demonstra a capacidade da ferramenta mesmo com as limitações dessa versão.

Abstract:
Introdução: Os anti-inflamatórios não esteroidais (AINEs) estão entre os fármacos mais utilizados na prática médica. Destacam-se pela grande variedade de indicações terapêuticas. A indometacina (IMN) é um AINE utilizado em casos de osteoartrite, artrite reumatoide moderada ou severa, tendinites, espondilite anquilosante, antipirético e cefaleia responsiva à indometacina. O efeito anti-inflamatório da IMN resulta da inibição da ciclo-oxigenase-2 (COX-2), uma enzima que participa da produção de mediadores inflamatórios como prostaglandinas e tromboxanos. Objetivos: O objetivo principal da presente pesquisa foi o desenvolvimento de scripts para o software RasMol 2.7.4.2, no intuito de produzir imagens que ilustrem a interação entre a IMN e a COX-2. Material e métodos: Foi realizado o levantamento de arquivos PDB sobre a IMN e a COX-2, obtidos no site Protein Data Bank. Foram selecionados arquivos PDB de acordo com critérios como data de upload do arquivo, nível de resolução da estrutura cristalizada, método experimental utilizado, entre outros. A partir dos arquivos PDB selecionados, foram desenvolvidos vários scripts para o software RasMol. Resultados: As imagens obtidas no programa computacional RasMol mostraram que a IMN se liga a uma região relativamente profunda de um canal hidrofóbico da COX-2. A ligação da IMN e a COX-2 ocorre por meio de uma interação entre um átomo de cloro da IMN com o resíduo de aminoácido leucina 384 da COX-2. A estabilização da ligação entre estas substâncias ocorre também por meio de interações hidrofóbicas da região benzoíla da IMN com a leucina 384, fenilalanina 381, tirosina 385 e triptofano 387, bem como do átomo de oxigênio do grupo benzoila da IMN com a hidroxila da cadeia lateral da serina 530 e a cadeia lateral da valina 349 da COX-2. Conclusão: As imagens produzidas a partir dos scripts mostraram que a ligação da IMN com a COX-2 ocorre por meio de interações com resíduos de aminoácidos da COX-2 de modo diferente que ocorre quando comparado com outros inibidores. O estudo bioquímico estrutural dos diferentes inibidores da COX-2, como a IMN, pode ser importante para o desenvolvimento de novos anti-inflamatórios sintéticos não seletivos.

Abstract:
Introdução: Durante o ciclo gravídico-puerperal, a mulher pode experimentar mudanças fisiológicas, sociais, psicológicas e físicas. Dados epidemiológicos mostram que a depressão ocorre na razão de duas mulheres para um homem e, que 20% a 40% tem sido diagnosticada com perturbação emocional ou disfunção cognitiva no período pós-parto. As condições impostas à essas mães durante esse período exercem papel fundamental no desenvolvimento de transtornos mentais. Objetivo: Avaliar a prevalência de sofrimento mental em mulheres no período gravídico puerperal. Material e métodos: Trata-se de estudo transversal exploratório, realizado com 1073 mulheres no ciclo gravídico-puerperal, dos 27 Estados brasileiros, incluindo o Distrito Federal, por meio de formulário on-line. Os dados foram coletados por três instrumentos: Roteiro de Caracterização Sociodemográfica, Condições de Saúde e Gineco-Obstétricas; Questionário de Autorrelato-20 (SRQ-20 – Self Report Questionnaire-20) e Escala de Depressão Pós-Natal de Edimburgo (EPDS – Edinburgh Postnatal Depression). Os dados foram analisados de forma descritiva por meio do software IBM SPSS, versão 26. O estudo foi aprovado pelo Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa da Universidade Federal do Piauí, sob parecer nº.: 4.187.878. Resultados: Identificou-se a prevalência de mulheres adultas (98,2%); com Ensino Superior completo ou com Pós-Graduação (80,5%); casadas/união estável (89,7%) e; com renda familiar superior a dois salários-mínimos (71,5%). Sobre as doenças psiquiátricas listadas pelas mulheres no ciclo gravídico-puerperal, houve predomínio de depressão (15,3%), de ansiedade (9,9%) e de síndrome do pânico (3,49%). Quanto ao histórico familiar de doenças psiquiátricas, casos de depressão (26,2%), de ansiedade (6,4%), de bipolaridade (5%) e de síndrome do pânico (4,9%) foram as enfermidades mais frequentes. Conclusão: Evidenciou-se que dentre os transtornos mentais mais comuns em mulheres no ciclo gravídico-puerperal e, em seus familiares, a depressão foi predominante, seguido da ansiedade. Logo, é crucial a participação da equipe multiprofissional atuando junto à essas mulheres para que seja possível, prevenir, detectar e tratar esses transtornos.

Introdução: O aumento de doenças crônicas tem sido considerado como um grave problema de saúde pública para o Brasil, responsáveis pelas principais causas de morte no país. Com o surgimento da pandemia da Covid-19, a sociedade passou por diversas mudanças afetando principalmente a saúde mental dos diabéticos de forma negativa, pois estes tiveram aumento ou presença de sinais e sintomas de ansiedade e depressão. Objetivo: Analisar o sofrimento psíquico em pessoas com diabetes mellitus durante a pandemia da Covid-19. Método: Estudo transversal, de abordagem quantitativa. Realizado com 111 participantes de duas Comunidades Virtuais (CV) do Facebook® voltadas ao diabetes mellitus. A coleta de dados ocorreu por meio de mensagens públicas postadas nos fóruns das CV escolhidas, através de formulário eletrônico disponível no período de agosto de 2020 à janeiro de 2021, contendo questões referentes ao sofrimento mental por meio da escala Self Report Questionnaire-20 (SRQ-20) e um questionário de caracterização da saúde dos participantes. A análise de dados foi realizada pelo software IBM SPSS®, versão 24.0. O estudo foi aprovado pelo Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa da Universidade Federal do Piauí (CEP/UFPI), Campus Senador Helvídio Nunes de Barros (CSHNB) sob o parecer de nº 4.178.828. Resultados: Evidenciou-se que o sofrimento psíquico foi presente na população de estudo. 56,5 % afirmaram ter diagnóstico de transtorno mental, 50,0% fazem tratamento médico e psicoterápico, 36,7% afirmaram fazer dieta, 39,5% usam medicamento oral e 31,3% fazem uso de insulina. Em relação a atividade física, apenas 28,6% mencionaram realizar, 71,4% apresentavam complicações neurológicas em virtude da diabetes, 44,4% dos participantes não realizam acompanhamento no serviço de saúde, e dos que realizam acompanhamento 39,5% é com médico endocrinologista. Conclusão: Durante o período da pandemia da Covid-19 identificou-se a presença de sofrimento psíquico nas pessoas com diabetes mellitus. Assim, faz-se necessário que os serviços de saúde elaborem estratégias educativas, afim de garantir uma melhor qualidade de vida a estas pessoas.

Introdução: A Covid-19 causada pelo novo coronavírus (SARS-CoV-2) teve início na China em dezembro de 2019. Diante do alto índice de propagação do vírus, a Organização Mundial da Saúde declarou pandemia. Em vista disso, foram adotadas diversas medidas a fim de mitigar a disseminação do vírus, entre elas o distanciamento social. No entanto, a adesão ao distanciamento social tem propiciado o surgimento sintomas de depressão e ansiedade, tornando mais propenso o desenvolvimento de transtornos mentais comuns, principalmente em pessoas diabéticas, as quais são grupo de risco. Objetivo: Verificar a prevalência de transtorno mental comum em pessoas com diabetes mellitus durante a pandemia da Covid-19. Material e métodos: Estudo transversal, de caráter exploratório, com amostra de 111 pessoas. Desenvolvido em duas Comunidades Virtuais (CV) do Facebook® voltadas ao diabetes mellitus. Os participantes foram recrutados por meio de mensagens públicas postadas nos fóruns das CV escolhidas e caso aceitassem participar do estudo teriam que declarar seu consentimento na participação por meio de um formulário eletrônico no Google Forms. Para a coleta de dados foi utilizado um questionário de sintomas denominado Self Report Questionnaire-20 (SRQ-20). Os dados foram analisados de forma descritiva por meio do software IBM SPSS, versão 26. O estudo foi aprovado pelo Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa da Universidade Federal do Piauí. Resultados: A prevalência de transtorno mental comum entre as pessoas diabéticas foi de 37,8%. No grupo de humor depressivo-ansioso, os sintomas mais prevalentes demonstraram que 64% das pessoas com diabetes se sentiram nervosas, tensas ou preocupadas. Quanto ao decréscimo de energia vital, 51,4% dos diabéticos relataram que se cansaram com facilidade. Para os sintomas somáticos, identificou-se que 30,6% apresentaram sensações desagradáveis no estômago. Quanto aos pensamentos depressivos, verificou-se que 31,5% tiveram dificuldade para tomar decisões. Conclusão: A saúde mental das pessoas com diabetes mellitus, por meio da análise do estudo, tem se mostrado frágil durante o distanciamento social, pois a presença de sintomas ansiosos e depressivos foram prevalentes na amostra. Por isso, torna-se relevante desenvolver estratégias e intervenções que minimizem os impactos causados neste segmento populacional e que proporcionem a melhoria da qualidade de vida.

Abstract:
A espécie Cattleya milleri é uma orquídea endêmica dos Campos Rupestres Ferruginosos do Quadrilátero Ferrífero em Minas Gerais. Esta espécie é atualmente classificada como criticamente ameaçada de extinção sobretudo devido a restrição geográfica de sua ocorrência, degradação de seu habitat natural e reduzidas populações naturais. O estabelecimento de métodos de propagação e cultivo que possibilitem a rápida multiplicação desta espécie é etapa crucial para a conservação ex situ e também para o enriquecimento em áreas naturais e a manutenção da espécie em seu habitat. A micropropagação ou a propagação in vitro consiste na multiplicação em larga escala de plantas através do cultivo de células, tecidos, órgãos ou a planta inteira em meio nutritivo sob condições controladas de temperatura e luminosidade. As etapas da micropropagação são constantemente ajustadas de acordo com as necessidades das diferentes espécies. Diante disso, o objetivo do relatório foi descrever as etapas desenvolvidas para estabelecer o protocolo de micropropagação de C. milleri. O protocolo estabelecido foi dividido em quatro etapas: (1) coleta e assepsia do material vegetal, (2) estabelecimento e desenvolvimento in vitro, (3) aclimatização e rustificação e (4) reintrodução e monitoramento das mudas. Sementes de C. milleri foram retiradas de cápsulas maduras e transferidas para seringas. As seringas contendo as sementes foram preenchidas totalmente com a solução de hipoclorito de sódio (NaClO) a 0,3%. Após 12 minutos, em câmara de fluxo laminar, aproximadamente 1 mL da solução contendo as sementes foi adicionada em potes contendo 22 mL do meio de cultivo previamente esterilizado. O meio utilizado foi composto de sacarose (15g/L), fertilizante B&G® (3mL/L), carvão ativado (1,5g/L) e ágar nutriente (5g/L). A germinação foi observada em quase todas as sementes inoculadas, tendo início aos 25 dias. O processo de propagação in vitro de C. milleri teve duração de 18 meses, com dois episódios de repicagem durante esse período. As plantas responderam positivamente as condições in vitro, apresentando crescimento satisfatório da parte aérea e de raízes. Na etapa de aclimatização, as plantas enraizadas tiveram suas raízes lavadas e foram transplantadas para embalagens plásticas contendo musgo chileno e fragmentos de isopor. Após 450 dias de cultivo em estufa coberta com sombrite 80 (80% de interceptação) foi observada uma reduzida mortalidade de mudas. Posteriormente, plantas aclimatadas foram transplantadas para recipientes contendo substrato natural (contendo canga granular) e cultivadas em estufa com sombrite 80 e posteriormente em sombrite 50, onde permaneceram por 1.095 dias. Ao final da etapa de rustificação foram obtidas aproximadamente 3.000 mudas de C. milleri aptas para o plantio em ambiente natural. A reintrodução destas mudas ocorreu através do plantio das mudas na Serra da Calçada (MG). O monitoramento das plantas ocorre mensalmente com a quantificação das mudas sobreviventes. Após 2 anos de acompanhamento observou-se baixa taxa de mortalidade (-30%) e crescimento satisfatório das plantas. O processo de monitoramento continuará sendo realizado com o objetivo de avaliar os processos de floração e frutificação e recrutamento de novas plantas. Os resultados obtidos evidenciam que a técnica de propagação in vitro é uma alternativa viável para a produção em larga escala de mudas de qualidade da espécie C. milleri. Uma vez que esta é uma espécie criticamente ameaçada de extinção, a reintrodução de plantas em ambiente natural contribui para o enriquecimento das populações existentes e, consequentemente, a conservação da espécie em seu ambiente natural. Uma próxima etapa importante será avaliar a diversidade genética da espécie para determinação das matrizes prioritárias para propagação

Nesta edição da revista, a presente seção conta com cinco resenhas de livros (também chamadas de book reviews).
