Abstract:
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to explore the experiences of Ibrahim, an ex-offender who has embraced Islam. Ibrahim professes Islam to be the influential element to his desistance process. This study explores Ibrahim’s journey, emphasising and reflecting upon youth; criminality and religiosity. Much of the current research relating to Black men and offending is limited to masculinity, father absence, gangs and criminality. The role of religiosity in the lives of offenders and/or ex-offenders is often overlooked. The authors suggest that identity, religiosity and desistance can raise a host of complexities while highlighting the unique challenges and benefits experienced by Ibrahim, following the practice of religion. Design/methodology/approach This paper took a qualitative, ethnographic approach, in the form of analysing and exploring Ibrahim’s personal lived experience. The analysis of semi-structured interviews, and reflective diaries, utilising grounded theory allowed the formation of the following three core themes: desistance, religion and identity. Findings The findings within this paper identify an interlink between desistance, religion and identity. The role of religiosity is becoming increasingly more important in academic social science research. This paper highlights the complexities of all three above intersections. Research limitations/implications This paper explores the complexities of religiosity in the desistance process of Ibrahim. Research in relation to former gang members in the UK and the role of religiosity in their lives is fairly under-researched. This paper seeks to build on existing research surrounding gang, further exploring religiosity from a UK context. Practical implications Time spent with Ibrahim had to be tightly scheduled, due to the work commitments of both Ibrahim and the researcher. Therefore, planning had to be done ahead in an efficient manner. Social implications Researching the way individuals experience the world is a “growing phenomenon”. This paper aimed to explore the lived experience of religiosity from the perspective of Ibrahim. However, it was important to not stereotype and label all Black males who have embraced Islam and desisted from crime. Therefore, this paper’s intention is not to stereotype Black men, but to raise awareness and encourage further discussion surrounding the role of religiosity in the lives of ex-offenders’. Originality/value To the authors’ knowledge, studies specifically focusing on the role of Islam in the life of an ex-offender are few and far between. Therefore, findings from this study are important to develop further understanding surrounding religiosity, offending and desistance. This study explores the lived experiences of Ibrahim, an former gang member and ex-offender who professes Islam to be a fundamental source to his desistance process.

Abstract:
There are some objectives on discussion of Irab concept in Ibrahim Mustafa and Ibrahim Anis perspectives. The mehod used in this research was Descriptive Analysis. In his book, Ihya al-Nahwi Ibrahim Mustafa explains that there are only two Irab; Dhammah and Kasrah. Dhammah functions as subject (Isnad), meanwhile Kasrah functions as majmu ( idhafah). He rejected fathah as irab because it is only lines which is seldom communicated by Arabians, and it doesnt infuence meaning for communication. On the contrary, irab concept as stated by Ibrahim Anis who declined that there were funtions of irab neither rules nor meaning. The findings of this reserch that irab concept stated by Ibrahim Mustafa and Ibrahim Anis was contrast. Irab concept used by Ibrahim is simillar to Ibnu Mada al-Qurtubi on which the changing of irab was caused of amil (actor) as it was used by experts of Nahwu traditionally. However, irab concept used by Ibrahim Anis rather the same as the thoughts of Nahwu Qutrub which is extremely used irab in ditermining a meaning. Then Ibrahim Anis view that the function of irab was result the experts of Nahwu.

Abstract:
Makalah ini mengkaji representasi kisah Nabi Ibrahim dalam delapan sajak Indonesia modern, yaitu “Hanya Satu” (Amir Hamzah), “Ibrahim! Ibrahim!” (Remy Sylado), “Bapak Semua Bangsa” (Remy Sylado), “Sajak 10 Zulhijah” (Remy Sylado), “Balada Nabi Ibrahim a.s. dan Nabi Ismail a.s.” (Taufiq Ismail), “Sajak-Sajak Kelahiran” (Abdul Hadi W.M.), “Ibrahim Alaihisalam I” (Ahmadun Yosi Herfanda), dan “Ibrahim Alaihisalam II” (Ahmadun Yosi Herfanda). Abstract:This paper examines the story representation of Prophet Ibrahim in the eight modern Indonesian poems, namely, “ Hanya Satu (The Only One) “ (Amir Hamza), “Abraham! Abraham! “(Remy Sylado),” Bapak Semua Bangsa (The father of all Nations)”(Remy Sylado),” 10 Zhul- Hijjah Poem”(Remy Sylado),” Balada Nabi Ibrahim a.s. dan Nabi Ismail a.s. (Ballad of the Prophet Ibrahim and Prophet Ismail a.s.) “(Taufiq Ismail),” Sajak-Sajak Kelahiran (Birth Poems )”(Abdul Hadi WM), “Ibrahim Alaihisalam I” (Yosi Ahmadun Herfanda), and “Abraham Alaihisalam II” (Yosi Ahmadun Herfanda). The study of eight modern Indonesian poems written by five poets was done by comparing the story of Prophet Ibrahim contained in the Bible and the Qur’an to the poetry created by the five poets. The study finds that the eight poems represents preaching the faith of Prophet Ibrahim in disseminating the teachings of the divine. Prophet Ibrahim was seen as the most sublime and the most glorious man, hence; the Prophet Ibrahim was so called ‘’abu al- anbiya’, namely, the father of all prophets, as well as The Lover of God, Most Merciful. Prophet Ibrahim upheld the unity of God by destroying all the idols and set up the Ka’ba. The results of this study recommends that every man can imitate the grandeur and glory of the Prophet Ibrahim who always believed in God.

Abstract:
This thesis investigates the trans movement from the Muslim brotherhood Tidjaniyya: the Tidjaniyya Ibrahimiyya movement. Founded in 1929, this movement could be exported to different countries in Africa through a form of itinerant preaching developed by its founder (Ibrahim Nisse, 1902-1975) and his first lieutenant. Since the disappearance of Ibrahim Niasse, a diverse group of stakeholders (the heirs), continuing the momentum of trans nationalization to ensure on the one hand, promoting movement; and secondly, to gain a better social and political status. This thesis is based on the multi-located ethnography, participant observation, discourse analysis and processing records (internal and external), to examine experience of transnational roaming among heirs of Ibrahimiyya

Abstract:
We have brought out the innovators characteristics in ibrahim's four novels which relieve of narrative technique, of differents aspects of novelistic style and of themes made use of. The previous novel gave the first place to speech in order to transcribe without stay on style's requirement. Ibrahim's novels undertakes to do one search about attractive and takes an interest in narratives techniques and permanent expreimentation becomes fundamental to author. These technics innovations destroy the previous model of homogeneous prose which had to transpose reality with faithfulness and these innovations turn the novel towards an open space, without frontier and rich. The previous novel stressed the themes answering general expectation like wish to free individual from constraints emerged by every social group, woman's emancipation and progress. Ibrahim limits himself to denunciation and to observation and stress the necessity of freedom, of man's respect and he protests against the repression, the police's practices and about all the constraints. Thus, the relationship between modernism, novelistic renewed is in keeping with freedom, democraty

Abstract:
This paper is intended to point out the relationship among current time domain modal analysis methods by employing the generalized eigenvalue decomposition. Various well-known time domain modal analysis algorithms are reviewed. Ibrahim Time Domain (ITD), Least Square Complex Exponent (LSCE) and Eigensystem Realization Algorithm (ERA) methods are chosen to do the comparison. Reformulation to these original forms show these three methods can all be attributed to a generalized eigenvalue problem with different matrix pairs. With this general format, we can see that Single-Input Multi-Output (SIMO) methods can easily be extended to Multi-Input Multi-Output (MIMO) case by taking advantage of the generalized Hankel matrix or generalized Toeplitz matrix.
