The role of interleukin-1 (IL-1) has been studied in many diseases, ranging from auto-inflammatory diseases to malignancies, and much has been discovered. There are currently four IL-1 inhibitors available, but only two have been approved in Europe: the receptor antagonist anakinra, and the IL-1b selective inhibitor canakinumab. The aim of this paper is to summarise the on- and off-label use of canakinumab (ILARIS®).

Abstract:
Der Aufsatz präsentiert die Ergebnisse einer Untersuchung der syntaktischen Negation in deutschen und brasilianischen Dialogen. Nach einigen Überlegungen über Negation und Sprache wird ihre Okkurrenz in einem Corpus von Dialogen in beiden Sprachen in Bezug auf semantische, in Anlehnung an Polenz und Engel ausgearbeitete Kategorien untersucht. Ausgehend von Ilaris Arbeiten werden die Möglichkeiten der syntaktischen Negation in jeder Sprache als Formeln präsentiert, die die Beziehungen zwischen ihren Komponenten darstellen. Außer der Gebrauchsfrequenz von syntaktischen Negation von Fremdsprachlern erörtert, sowie breitere Überlegungen über Negation, Kommunikation und Kultur.

Introduction Interleukin-1 (IL-1) antagonists have been successful in the management of monogenic auto-inflammatory diseases, notably classic hereditary fever syndromes, such as Familial Mediterranean Fever (FMF). Anakinra (Kineret®), a human recombinant IL-1 receptor antagonist (IL-1Ra), has been clinically effective in the management of persistent auto-inflammation, such as FMF. Few studies report anaphylaxis in response to anakinra, which were resolved with an anakinra desensitization or the anti-IL-1β monoclonal antibody canakinumab (ILARIS®). We describe the first reported desensitization protocol to canakinumab. Case Report A 51-year-old man with a prior history of FMF presented with history of failed colchicine, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug, and anakinra trials. Anakinra desensitization and canakinumab intradermal testing (IDT) resulted in anaphylactic and allergic symptoms, respectively. Expedited desensitization to canakinumab was successfully performed with 15-minute intervals between 13 doses of incremental increase to 150 mg. Discussion Biological agents are immune modulators that may evoke unanticipated hypersensitivity reactions, including anaphylaxis. These anaphylactic reactions to biologics have been infrequently reported, but the expanding market may increase the risk of IgE-mediated hypersensitivities and subsequent need for desensitization protocols. The current, expedited desensitization evaluated several published protocols involving anakinra desensitization to determine appropriate dosing for canakinumab. Conclusion We report the gastrointestinal intolerance and continued FMF flares on colchicine, followed by anaphylactic responses to anakinra and allergic reaction to IDT of canakinumab, in the present case of FMF. Our novel, expedited canakinumab desensitization protocol serves as an effective and alternative therapy in cases when other appropriate biologic agents are not tolerated.

The ILAHS (inhomogeneous linear algebraic hybrid system) is a kind of classic hybrid system. For the purpose of optimizing the design of ILAHS, one important strategy is to introduce equivalence to reduce the states. Recent advances in the hybrid system indicate that approximate trace equivalence can further simplify the design of ILAHS. To address this issue, the paper first introduces the trajectory metric d t r j for measuring the deviation of two hybrid systems’ behaviors. Given a deviation ε ≥ 0 , the original ILAHS of H 1 can be transformed to the approximate ILAHS of H 2 , then in trace equivalence semantics, H 2 is further reduced to H 3 with the same functions, and hence H 1 is ε -approximate trace equivalent to H 3 . In particular, ε = 0 is a traditional trace equivalence. We implement an approach based on RealRootClassification to determine the approximation between the ILAHSs. The paper also shows that the existing approaches are only special cases of our method. Finally, we illustrate the effectiveness and practicality of our method on an example.

Abstract:
Youth life is closely related to spiritual activity. The phenomenon that is still encountered is Hubbu Ilahi, or the love attitude of Allah SWT. This phenomenon is presumed that adolescents only state and do not know the consequences of their attitudes. So, this study aims to determine the perceptions of today's adolescents on the phenomenon of Hubbu Ilahi. This research is descriptive qualitative research with a survey research method. This study used a purposive random sampling technique to 39 adolescents. Data collection used a questionnaire with the google form platform. Then, the data were analyzed using: data presentation, data reduction, and concluding. The results showed that adolescent respondents stated the consistency of love of the Quran, love of Rasulullah (SAW), love of the Prophet's Sunnah, and love of the Akhirat life. However, the busyness of the world blocks the proven proof of love. The analysis concluded that only 7.7% of adolescents fit Hubbu Ilahi's criteria.

No presente texto, apresentamos a solução que Ilari oferece, no início dos anos 80, para problemas de interação entre uma anáfora nominal e outra que Ilari chama de prossintagma verbal, em sentenças como Pedro surpreendeu sua mulher e Antônio fez o mesmo, para a qual há três interpretações em relação a que mulher está sendo surpreendida por quem: 1) a de Pedro por Pedro e por Antônio (leitura de identidade estrita); 2) a de Pedro por Pedro, e a de Antônio por Antônio (leitura de identidade fajuta); ou 3) a mulher de um terceiro homem por Pedro e por Antônio (leitura dêitica). Na seqüência, avaliaremos a proposta de Ilari; e, como acreditamos que haja atualmente uma solução melhor dentro da Gramática Categorial (modelo escolhido por Ilari), indicaremos as insuficiências da solução inicialmente proposta e sugerimos uma nova alternativa, baseada no conectivo categorial definido por Jäger.

AbstractThe aim of this paper is to highlight the vanguardist poetical universe of Ilarie Voronca, focusing on the construction of corporeal representations. The poetics of corporeality is associated with the concept of “crisis”, the latter being reverberated in the vanguard lyrical works as an effect of the historical and social context of the 20th century, which is the First World War. As a result, the consequences of this context bring to the vanguard writers poetical substance, which encapsulates the body and the disease, these two being transposed into several eerie, radical and shocking images in Ilarie Voronca’s poetics. This paper is going to demonstrate the existence of several corporeal representations in Ilarie Voronca’s poems, which are mainly represented by the vulnerable body, viewed as a limit and as the diseased/the suffering, proving that the crisis of corporeality is the effect of the historical conflagration at the beginning of the 20th century.

Discussion concerning how the Scriptures form the basis for growth in the spiritual life of believers figures quite centrally in the thought and theology of Origen of Alexandria (185-250 CE). Origen encourages every Christian to read the Scriptures for the purpose of fostering a refinement of the soul and for the shaping of a spiritual life within the believer’s own self, in order for them to continue in growth toward attaining perfect maturity of life that is to be found in their communion with Christ. To achieve that goal, Origen asserts, the reading of Scripture must be carried out within a framework of divine pedagogy.

Fast growing technologies have made pervasive computing elements part of our routine life. These computing elements dissipate a lot of energy, and power optimization is one of the critical design aspects of such systems. In this work an intelligent laboratory automation and resource management system (iLARMS) is proposed, which incorporates power-aware strategies activated in software with hardware support. In the current work, investigations are carried out to observe the energy issues of the application and the processors used. Various software techniques for energy saving are incorporated in the application level and in the processor core level. The hardware implementation of the proposed resource management system is carried out using PIC16F877A and ARM7 LPC2148 microcontrollers and Intel Core 2 Duo processors. An average energy saving of the order of 48.78% was achieved with iLARMS when compared to a conventional resource management system.

Information literacy assessment is extremely important for the evaluation of the information literacy skills of college students. Intelligent optimization technique is an effective strategy to optimize the weight parameters of the information literacy assessment index system (ILAIS). In this paper, a new version of differential evolution algorithm (DE), named hybrid differential evolution with model-based reinitialization (HDEMR), is proposed to accurately fit the weight parameters of ILAIS. The main contributions of this paper are as follows: firstly, an improved contraction criterion which is based on the population entropy in objective space and the maximum distance in decision space is employed to decide when the local search starts. Secondly, a modified model-based population reinitialization strategy is designed to enhance the global search ability of HDEMR to handle complex problems. Two types of experiments are designed to assess the performance of HDEMR. In the first type of experiments, HDEMR is tested and compared with seven well-known DE variants on CEC2005 and CEC2014 benchmark functions. In the second type of experiments, HDEMR is compared with the well-known and widely used deterministic algorithm DIRECT on GKLS test classes. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of HDEMR for global numerical optimization and show better performance. Furthermore, HDEMR is applied to optimize the weight parameters of ILAIS at China University of Geosciences (CUG), and satisfactory results are obtained.

In a phase 3 pivotal trial (CLUSTER study), TRAPS patients have been successfully treated with the interleukin-1β inhibitor canakinumab. 45% of patients reached clinical remission after 16 weeks (primary endpoint)1. Canakinumab has been approved and applied for the treatment of TRAPS patients since 20172.Objectives:The present study explores the long-term efficacy and safety of canakinumab under routine clinical practice conditions in pediatric (age ≥2 years) and adult TRAPS patients.Methods:RELIANCE is a prospective, non-interventional, multi-center, observational study based in Germany with a 3-year follow-up period. Patients with clinically confirmed diagnoses of TRAPS, CAPS, FMF or HIDS/MKD who routinely receive canakinumab are enrolled in order to evaluate efficacy and safety of canakinumab under standard clinical practice conditions. Disease activity and remission by physician assessment, disease activity and fatigue by patient assessment, days absent from school/work due to study indication, inflammatory markers, and AIDAI (Auto-Inflammatory Diseases Activity Index) score were assessed at baseline and at 6-monthly intervals.Results:The interim analysis of TRAPS patients enrolled by December 2020 includes baseline (N=16, including 1 patient with atypical TRAPS) and preliminary 18-month data. Mean age in this cohort was 23 years (3−43 years) and the median duration of prior CAN treatment was 1.0 year (0−4 years).Physician assessment indicated 60-80% remission and laboratory parameters were within normal range. Disease control by patient assessment showed no major changes regarding the analyzed parameters (Table 1, Figure 1). Of the three serious adverse events reported none was classified as drug-related.Conclusion:Preliminary analysis of 18 month interim data of TRAPS patients treated with CAN available from the RELIANCE study indicate stable efficacy and safety of CAN long-term treatment.References:[1]De Benedetti F, et al. Este artigo, a partir de um ponto de vista semântico, analisa o item lexical 'negócio' usado em diferentes contextos no Português Brasileiro, desde os mais formais até os mais informais. Analisam-se as características do item, utilizando o conceito de ambiguidade. Tal fenômeno diz respeito à capacidade múltipla de significado que uma mesma palavra pode ter em determinados contextos. Mais especificamente, o estudo procura esclarecer se a ambiguidade lexical da palavra negócio é gerada por polissemia e/ou homonímia, dois tipos particulares de ambiguidade. As principais concepções teóricas são de Ilari e Geraldi (1987), Ilari (2002), Cambrussi e Poll (2015), Ferraz (2014), Pustejovsky, (1995) e Lyons (1977). Após análises, verificou-se que a palavra 'negócio' pode tanto apresentar usos em que apresenta ambiguidade por polissemia quanto ambiguidade por homonímia. Até onde se pode verificar, esse tipo de análise de 'negócio' é inédito na literatura linguística.

O Instituto Latino-Americano de Relações Internacionais (ILARI), financiado pela Fundação Ford e vinculado ao controverso Congresso pela Liberdade da Cultura (CLC), estimulou desde seu início, em 1965, a renovação das ciências sociais na América Latina por meio de encontros e pesquisas, bem como da publicação da revista Aportes e de acordos com editoras locais – como Paidós e Jorge Álvares, de Buenos Aires, e Alfa, de Montevidéu. Este trabalho aborda as políticas editoriais do ILARI, que se transformaram em um canal de legitimação e promoção da figura do cientista social, cuja emergência deve ser compreendida no marco da Guerra Fria cultural, marcada pelos debates sobre as possíveis vias de desenvolvimento das sociedades periféricas. Essa figura, que acaba por suplantar a do ensaísta e disputa espaço com as do intelectual comprometido e do intelectual revolucionário, aparece legitimada por um discurso sobre a modernização, associado a uma produção “objetiva” de saberes.

Este artigo traz o resultado de uma prática de ensino de latim em cursos de Letras durante mais de uma década. O estudo tem por objetivo analisar a práxis docente, unificando teoria e prática, ajustando-as conforme as necessidades suscitadas em sala de aula. Na tentativa de eleger uma teoria adequada a realidade da URCA, foi realizada a aplicação de métodos de ensino, entre eles: método tradicional, método gramatical com fragmentos de textos, método textual - I, método textual - II e método semântico com foco na tradução. Para a confecção da pesquisa, foi realizada uma revisão de literatura, com destaque para as gramáticas de latim mais utilizadas, bem como as diversas bibliografias sobre ensino de língua clássica, que têm servido para a qualificação profissional de professores de latim. Da teoria da Semântica Lexical, foram consultados: Ribeiro (2016), Castilho (2014), Cançado (2012), Ilari e Geraldi (2006), Ilari (2001), entre outros. Conclui-se o estudo com reflexões acerca da prática.
