Abstract. Purpose: This desire for high resolution stems from two main application areas, namely improving pictorial information for human interpretation and assisting automatic machine perception in representing images or videos. Image resolution describes the detail contained in an image, the higher the resolution, the more detail there is. The resolution of a digital image can be classified into various types, namely pixel resolution, spatial resolution, temporal resolution, and radiometric resolution. In this context, we are interested in spatial resolution. Methods: Elements of a digital i

This paper shows the previously utilized Natural Image Quality Evaluator (NIQE) in CT scans; this NIQE is commonly used as a photolike image evaluator and provides an extensive assessment of the opt

Abstract:
It is challenging to restore a clear image from an atmospheric degraded sequence. The main reason for the image degradation is geometric distortion and blurring caused by turbulence. In this paper, we present a method to eliminate geometric distortion and blur and to recover a single high-quality image from the degraded sequence images. First, we use optical flow technology to register the sequence images, thereby suppressing the geometric deformation of each frame. Next, sequence images are summed by a temporal filter to obtain a single blurred image. Then, the graph Laplacian matrix is used

In modern era, images enhancement is paying very significant role in image analysis and synthesis. We have used the Retinex theory to remove the dark from the first image help improve the clarity of dim or hazy photos. After that, the picture haze must be eliminated, first inverted the image and applied the optimized de-haze on it. By image fusion of both the obtained images through Principal Component Analysis (PCA), a better-quality image was obtained from what we can see in the simulations, things have definitely gotten better.

Liver disease is a disease caused by various factors such as the spread of viruses. Liver damage causes the ability to break down red blood cells to be disrupted. Detection of liver disease can be done using the segmentation. Segmentation is useful for separating an area of the liver in an image from other areas. Segmentation carried out manually requires experts and a long time, so automatic segmentation is needed. CNN can be used to perform automatic segmentation. One of the CNN architectures is the U-Net architecture. Segmentation requires quality images to improve recognition of image patt

An increase in the number of images and their average size is the general trend nowadays. This increase leads to certain problems with data storage and transfer via communication lines. A common way to solve this problem is to apply lossy compression that provides sufficiently larger compression ratios compared to lossless compression approaches. However, lossy compression has several peculiarities, especially if a compressed image is corrupted by quite intensive noise. First, a specific noise-filtering effect is observed. Second, an optimal operational point (OOP) might exist where the qualit
