A novel Imidazole derivative, (E)-N-((1H-indol-7-yl) methylene)-5-phenyl-1H-imidazol-2-amine (IPA), was synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, NMR, UV–Vis, and mass spectrometry. Spectral data confirmed the structure and purity of the compound. UV–Vis analysis showed π→π* and n→π* transitions, indicating strong conjugation. The molecular ion peak at m/z 286.12 verified its molecular weight. Abstract:
Syzygium cumini is a plant belonging to the Myrtaceae family and is widely used in medicine and food. However, its application in the engineering field is still very minimal, particularly as an anti-corrosion material. There are also limited studies on the quantitative screening of phytochemical and bioactivity of S. cumini. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the chemical compounds of S. cumini fruit as a corrosion inhibitor as well as determine total tannin (TTC) and flavonoid (TFC) content. The extraction process was carried out with a soxhlet extractor using 96% ethanol solvent. Characte

Abstract:
Wavelength accuracy is a key characteristic of FTS, and impressive results are available with relative ease. Assuming adequate signal-to-noise ratio, wavelength uncertainty arises from two primary phenomena — the effect of using a finite size aperture (and photon detector), and from cosine errors arising from imperfect alignment of the sample and reference beams. These effects are typically small enough to ensure uncalibrated accuracy of about 1 part in 105. Significant improvement can be attained through a single point, multiplicative calibration approach, which has been reported to reduce un

Abstract:
The effect of explicit molecules of solvent in the electronic spectrum of anhydride maleic groups was studied by quantum-chemical methods in ethanol and chloroform. An implicit method of solvation was also applied and showed no distinction between the two solvents. The addition of eight explicit molecules of the solvent resulted in an improvement of the calculated UV-Vis spectra. It was also possible to analyze the influence of different solvents in the molecular orbital associated with electronic transitions.
