The development of solvent-free techniques for nanoparticles synthesis is one of the challenges of Green chemistry. In this work, the principled opportunity to obtain copper-containing nanosized particles without use of any solvents was shown. The copper complexes were prepared as precursors by the melting-assisted solvent-free synthesis. The formation of tetra(imidazole)copper(II) nitrate complex was confirmed by XRD, elemental analysis, FTIR spectroscopy, and thermal analysis. It was noted that their thermal decomposition occurs in two stages: (I) the low-temperature step may be related to r

The derivative of five member heterocyclic ligand containing imidazole rings 4-bromo-2-(4,5-diphenyl-1H-imidazol-2-yl) phenol [Br-HPI] and their complex with Fe(III) are reported. This ligand was characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR and 1H NMR spectroscopy. The solid complex was characterized by IR spectra, molar conductivity and magnetic moment. The results suggest that the metal is bonded to the ligand through the phenolic oxygen and the pyridine nitrogen forming chelates with (1:2) (metal: ligand) stoichiometry, and the octahedral geometry for the complex. Zeolitic Imidazole Frameworks (ZIFs) are prospective porous materials as catalyst support due to their relatively large surface area, and tunability in size, structure, and porosity. Recent studies have also shown that ZIF is the best candidate for various catalytic redox reactions such as the oxidation of benzyl aromatic hydrocarbons. In this study, the synthesized Pt catalyst supported on Co-ZIF was varied by the organic ligands: imidazole, benzimidazole, and 1-(3-aminopropyl) imidazole, then followed by impregnation of Pt precursor. In this work, we have proposed two new methods for the synthesis of [TcO2L4]+ (where L = imidazole (Im), methylimidazole (MeIm)) complexes using thiourea (Tu) and Sn(II) as the reducing agents. The main and by-products of the reactions were determined, and possible reaction mechanisms were proposed. We have shown that the reduction of Tc(VII) with thiourea is accompanied by the formation of the Tc(III) intermediate and further oxidation to Tc(V). The reaction conditions’ changing can lead to the formation of Tc(VII) and Tc(IV) salts. Seven new crystal structures are described in this work: Tc(

Mild steel is a well-known and widely used material in various industries. However, its exposure to aggressive environments limits its use because of its tendency to corrode. This work focuses on the inhibition of corrosion of mild steel by two organic compounds based on Imidazole, namely 2-(4-chlorophenyl)-1,4,5-triphenyl-1H-imidazole and 1,2,4,5-tetraphenyl-1H-imidazole, in mixed pickling bath. Abstract The effect of H2S and corrosion inhibitor on the aqueous corrosion behavior of mild steel was evaluated at high CO2 partial pressure conditions. The experiments were performed in a 7.5 L autoclave with different temperatures (25°C and 80°C) and different H2S concentrations (1000 ppmv and 2000 ppmv) at 12 MPa CO2. The corrosion rate of steel samples was determined by electrochemical and weight loss measurements. The surface and cross-sectional morphology and the composition of the corrosion product layers were analyzed by using surface analytical techniques (SEM, EDS and XRD). Results
