The liquid crystal behavior and self-assembly property were discussed. In the second part, the liquid crystalline gold nanoparticles were prepared. To synthesize AuNPs via modified the Schiffrin’s two-phase method with imidazolium salt without additional stabilizing agent is reported. These AuNPs show good thermal ability and liquid crystalline SmA behavior. The temperature dependent SPR bands are observed for these AuNPs.
