We show the use of a reconfigurable computer in computing the correlation immunity of Boolean functions of up to 6 variables. Boolean functions with high correlation immunity are desired in cryptographic systems because they are immune to correlation attacks. The SRC-6 reconfigurable computer was programmed in Verilog to compute the correlation immunity of functions. This computation is performed at a rate that is 190 times faster than a conventional computer. Our analysis of the correlation immunity is across all n-variable Boolean functions, for 2 ≤ n ≤ 6, thus obtaining, for the first time,

In order to resist algebraic attacks, algebraic immunity as a Boolean function cryptographic property has been put out. This makes that Boolean functions should have high algebraic immunity to resist algebraic attacks. In this paper, a specific decomposition method of the space is proposed. In anti-GBM disease this appears to have a self-perpetuating, accelerating component, that may be to do with antibodies and altered antigen presentation. AbstractThe Plasmodium falciparum erythrocyte membrane protein 1 (PfEMP1) antigens, which are encoded by a multigene family called var genes, are exported and inserted onto the surface of the infected erythrocytes. PfEMP1 plays a key role in the pathogenesis of severe malaria and are major targets of naturally acquired immunity. Studying the expression pattern of var genes in P. falciparum clinical isolates is crucial for understanding disease mechanism and immunity to malaria. However, var genes are highly variable, which makes it difficult to study their expression in clinical isolates obtained directly from malaria patients. In this chapter, we describe an approach for analysis of var gene expression that targets a region referred to as DBLα tag, which is relatively conserved in all var genes.

This chapter considers the balance between human populations and their pathogens with two crucial aims: to understand the 'real world' situation, and where necessary, to try and control it. It delves into some of the factors that determine the incidence and distribution of infectious diseases; that is, their epidemiology. The chapter begins by describing the diagnosis, which can be clinical, microbiological, or immunological. It explains the theoretical epidemiology and practical epidemiology, then highlights four main factors, all of which need to be understood by those working in the 'real world': the host and its variables; the pathogen and its variables; the degree of contact between the two; and the effect, if any, of treatment or preventive measures. The chapter illustrates these points in relation to three diseases, one viral (AIDS), one bacterial (tuberculosis), and one protozoal (malaria). Ultimately, the chapter considers infantile diarrhoea, then reviews the value of epidemiology.

The outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent recurrences have profound effect on psychological, social and physical health of people. The fear of Corona virus has posed unexampled stress on all the population segments of country. The perceived threat has made people more conscious about their health and immunity. This has triggered a significant change in consumer buying behaviour towards immunity products. This study attempts to analyse the factors influencing immunity literacy among people and to determine predictor variables for people's immunity consciousness. A sample of 391 respondents was collected and analyzed using descriptive and determinant analysis. The findings of the study highlight important factors behind consumers' literacy and their buying behaviour towards immunity products.
