<p>A new European labeling directive (2003/89/EC) states that certain foods and products derived thereof must always be declared. Among the tree nuts specified is Macadamia nut (Macadamia spp.). During the last few years, cases of IgE-allergic reactions, even severe anaphylaxes, have been reported. Un dosage radioimmunologique specifique du zinniol a ete au point; les etapes de ce travail ont ete les suivantes: - synthese d'une molecule immunogene (conjugue zinniol-proteine porteuse). - obtention d'anticorps specifique (4 ci/mmole). - mise au point du dosage radioimmunologique valide du point de vue de sa specificite, de sa reproductibilite et de sa sensibilite (limite de detection 0,14 nn/essai). Cet outil a permis de realiser des dosages sur des plantes infectees. Ces resultats inedits montrent que la molecule est emise tres rapidement dans les tissus infectes (12 h apres inoculation).

<p>Microglia are a population of specialized, tissue-resident immune cells that make up around 10% of total cells in our brain. They actively prune neuronal synapses, engulf cellular debris, and misfolded protein aggregates such as the Alzheimer’s Disease (AD)-associated amyloid-beta (Aβ) by the process of phagocytosis. During AD, microglia are unable to phagocytose Aβ, perhaps due to the several disease-associated changes affecting their normal function. Functional molecules such as lipids and metabolites also influence microglial behavior but have primarily remained uncharacterized to date.
