This study concludes: (1) The impact of additional elevators on housing prices varies depending on the floor level. Chinese Low-rent housing subsidy has been increasing year by year. However, it will be a very one-sided view if we only take the increasing number of subsidy into consideration when evaluating the effects of subsidy policy on low-rent housing lessees. Thus we studied on the impact of subsidy increase on low-rent housing lessees' welfare in China, and explored a valid way to evaluate the utility of the subsidy policy. At first, basing on the theory of welfare, we analyze the indifference curve model within consumption budget condition. After that, we applied the Cobb–Douglas utility function to

Population aging and its economic impact have been receiving increasing attention in many countries around the world. This study offers an analysis of the impact of aging on the housing prices in Singapore relative to the U.S. as the benchmark. The study uses semiannual series over the period of 1998 to 2019 with the age subgroups organized in 5-year intervals. The literature contains conflicting arguments on the impacts of aging on housing prices. Based on observations made for Singapore and the U.S., this study supports the arguments that the elderly part of a population has a damping effect

Abstract One long-standing motivation for low-income housing programs is the possibility that housing affordability and housing conditions generate externalities, including on children’s behavior and long-term life outcomes. We take advantage of a randomized housing voucher lottery in Chicago in 1997 to examine the long-term impact of housing assistance on a wide variety of child outcomes, including schooling, health, and criminal involvement. In contrast to most prior work focusing on families in public housing, we focus on families living in unsubsidized private housing at baseline, for whom
