Abstract:
The crisis state of society at the beginning of the 21st century is increasingly described as chaos. At the same time, the desire of people to theatricalization of many types of their activities remains unchanged. This gives grounds to consider the theatricality of being as a sociocultural constant, immanently inherent in humanity. The fact that it persists even during periods of cardinal changes, social transformations, civilizational shifts, breaking cultural stereotypes, destruction of traditional institutions and discreditation of established ideals can be explained by the fact that theatr

For John Ganim Lydgate's "often prolix narrative style . . . can be understood as part of a process of literary history that begins to include an audience broader than the court or monastery. As an important form of modern fusion music performance, electric guitar improvisation is widely praised and welcomed for its unique performance style. The main points and difficulties of its performance lie in tone switching, speed playing skills, and grasping the title, mood, and style of the music. Therefore, it is necessary to integrate the conventional techniques of string sweeping, pizzicato, and dotted strings with improvisation, applying differentiated rhythmic rhythms, timbre modulation, and special playing techniques to deepen the distinctive art-rock music characteristics.

The author reviews the main image strategies of the time, the key one being overcoming the featureless imagery and creating model image constructions, i.e. the initial stage in the history of image development (from Geometrics to the invention of photography in the early 1900s). The softening of linear configurations and shaping of large mental images parallel to ixed style forms make it possible to see the emergence of the exemplary image.

This thesis presents a method of analyzing jazz improvisation and jazz style by using a voice-leading model called “Top Lines.” It compares three separate performances of Thelonious Monk’s “’Round Midnight” by Monk, Gerry Mulligan, and Wes Montgomery. The term Top Lines refers to a voice-leading procedure created by moving as little as possible between chords tones (roots, thirds, fifths, sevenths, and upper functions) of a chordal progression. Top Lines are potential voice-leading lines in the uppermost register and follow the “Law of the Shortest Way.” The thesis defines Top Lines, shows how

While extensive, these approaches do not take into consideration the impact free jazz had on Shaw's technique, nor do they provide a model for how to duplicate Shaw's style. Abstract:
Contact Improvisation is a form of dance. As the name sug-gests, this is not the kind of dance where everybody knows the steps in advance. While its moves are unscripted, Contact Improvisation also differs from the semi-solo style of arm-flailing and hip-swiveling in which many of us learnt to en-gage as teenagers, for its practitioners are required to remain at all times in close proximity to a partner. “Characteristically performed in a duet,” explains Hellene Gronda:Contact Improvisation combines the freedom to move spontaneously with an injunction to maintain a physical relationship with your partner(s), usually through touch, but also through commitment to a mutual trajectory based on a shared centre of gravity. Body awareness is fundamental to safe practice of the form because it is like-ly to include falling and spatial disorientation. It can be awkward, spectacularly dangerous, or breathtaking and tender. ... Contact Improvisation is primarily practiced in a community activity called a Jam. ( Gronda 2005, 28–29).

This paper presents for the first time three plaster sculptures made by the Florentine artist Antonio Montauti (1683-1746) and currently preserved at the Biblioteca Roncioniana in Prato. The subjects of these portraits are Tuscan literates and academics Anton Maria Salvini, Francesco Baldovini and Giovanni Battista Casotti. The three busts were most likely made around 1713: this date is indicated on Salvini’s portrait, allowing us to speculate on the existence of a series of portraits of Florentine literates, much like Montauti’s famous series dedicated to Tuscan illustrious men (Ficino and Machiavelli amongst others). These busts also give us the chance to take a further look at Montauti’s style, unveiling his interest towards antique sculpture at such an early stage of his activity.
