<p>In this thesis a FIR filter generator has been designed. The program generates FIR filters in the form of VHDL-files. Four different filter structures have been implemented in the generator, Direct Form (DF), Differential Coefficients Method (DCM), polyphase filters and (2-by-2) filters. </p><p>The focus of the thesis was to implement filter structures that create FIR filters with as low power consumption and area as possible. </p><p>The generaterator has been implemented i C++. The ability to generate different responses, and the ability to inhibit inappropriate behaviour, were explored in patients with unilateral cerebral excisions. Site-of-lesion effects were found to interact with the sex of the subject, the time of test-administration, and the nature of the response criteria. The presented thesis deals with the design and assembly of the generator for pulse magnetron sputtering. The designed device is capable of generating two square wave signals via its counter-working outputs. Both signals have independently adjustable frequency, pulse count and duty ratio. Both signals originate from two frequency syntheses controlled by microcontroller PIC16F877A. All the settings are entered by four buttons and are shown on an alphanumeric display with 16x4 characters. The duty ratio is adjusted using a special module.
