Over the last few decades, Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture (IMTA) in South Africa has developed from early experimental designs to large scale, commercially operating farms. This was in response to uncertainty regarding food availability for stock (primarily kelp in the case of abalone farms) and a desire to recirculate water whilst reducing the environmental footprint of the abalone farms. The growing prevalence of IMTA as a commercially viable activity has brought about a need for an expansion of the knowledge pool regarding the physico-chemical processes at work in such systems. Military and commercial avionics developers have pushed toward a common standard for interfaces, computing platforms, and software in hopes of having “reusability” and reducing weight with backplane computing architectures which, in theory, would support commonality across aircraft systems. The integrated modular avionics (IMA) and military Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE) standards are two such examples. They e

Abstract:
The mechanism of lead toxicity in human erythroid precursor cells (EPCs) is the main aim of this research. Abnormal development of EPCs, the imma red blood cells, may involve with lead induced anemia. Human EPCs, the model in this study, were prepared by two-phase liquid culture (TPLC) technique. Highly purified EPCs (>90%) and substantial numbers of the cells (30.46 +-19.48x10[superscript 6] cells/blood unit) were obtained from this technique. By using TPLC system, the early stage of EPCs obtained on day 7 of secondary phase were cultured in the presence of lead acetate. Morphological stud
