The taxonomy of South American Scythrididae (Lepidoptera: Gelechioidea) is revised, based on external morphology, genitalia, male abdominal segment VIII, and DNA barcodes using genetic distances, BINs, and a tentative molecular phylogeny. Data include both historical and fresh specimens from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Paraguay, and Peru. AbstractEight species of Symploce are described, of which the following 6 are new: bicolorata (Kalimantan, Sabah), bidiensis (Sarawak), ferruginea (Sabah ; West Malaysia), paralarvata (West Malaysia), propexcavata (Sabah), and spinistylifera (Sabah). Symploce excavata (Shelford) (Sarawak), and S. larvata (Hanitsch) (Kalimantan, Sarawak; Sumatra) are redescribed. Symploce incerta (Hanitsch) (Sumatra), and S. obtusifrons (Walker) (Sarawak) are placed incertae sedis. The species are arranged in 4 species-groups, and a key is given to the males.

Abstract:

Two micropterous species of Paederus Fabricius, 1775 from East Nepal are described and illustrated: Paederus (incertae sedis) digitalis spec. nov. and P. (incertae sedis) acifer spec. nov. They are distinguished from other micropterous and geographically close congeners. Including the new species, the Paederus fauna of Nepal currently includes 37 species, 24 of them exclusive. Additional records of two widespread species are reported from the Chinese province Yunnan and from Vietnam.

The type specimens of Dolabra, Placostromella, Pleosphaerellula, Polysporidiella and Pseudotrichia were re-examined in order to suggest their familial and higher placement according to the morphology based on modern taxonomic concepts. First Upper Triassic dipterans (Nematocera) are described based on isolated wings from Fuchsberg near Seinstedt (Sevatian, uppermost Norian of Lower Saxony, Germany): Crivoptychoptera nebrias gen. et sp. nov. (Psychodomorpha, Ptychopteridae), Ptychopteridae incertae sedis, Dohloboyia triassica gen. et sp. nov. (Bibionomorpha, Boholdoyidae) and Chironomidae incertae sedis (Culicomorpha). All taxa under discussion present the oldest occurrences of their families. Geological background and composition of the Upper Triassic insect fauna of Seinstedt are briefly discussed.

Este artigo aborda o problema de projeto de controladores PID (Proporcional-Integral-Derivativo) para sistemas lineares incertos contínuos no tempo por meio de otimização convexa. O modelo linear pode ter um número arbitrário de estados, entradas e saídas, e todas as matrizes podem ser incertas (incerteza politópica).
