It is imperative for all manufacturing setups to have a structured system and culture of quality control to maintain product performance and customer satisfaction. An integral part of this system is to check incoming parts through inspection and to ensure that suppliers uphold the same standards of quality. As a company scales up, quality failures become costlier and at the same time, use of data and statistics presents opportunities for immense savings. NVBOTS is a 3D Printer manufacturing startup that is currently at the juncture of ramping up its production volume. The skeleton of its product is, in effect, a three axis frame with sourced machined components that build it up. In this thesis, one axis was taken up as a case study to develop a framework for analysing incoming parts. The proposed framework has a logical progression starting with analysis of part features and inspection procedure followed by a study of existing supplier capability and subsequent correlation of part geometry to final frame geometry. To perform this analysis, past Co-ordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) data from measurement of incoming parts was compiled and used. This document also makes some actionable recommendations based on the output of the framework. These include use of software packages that can help facilitate and speed up the use of this framework through efficient data logging and real time analysis. Subsequently, future use of statistical tolerancing is suggested to enhance manufacturability while reducing costs and finally, certain additions of platform features to the product were suggested to make full use network effects as the organization scales up.

“Sampling Inspection” has been not only applied to the quality management for the industries in Taiwan, But also the inspections of the materials from the suppliers. As the raise of the high-tech industries, The manufacturing technology have been increased continuously. For the strict requirement of the quality the outdated traditional, Sampling Plan seems like can not satisfy the request in dudes high quality or zero defect from customers. On the other hand, Under the competitive condition of diversified quality, The competition of products may be decreased because of the inspection is to guarantee the quality of produces. From the view of inspection, Many experts think the new concept of quality control is to improve the quality of products from the supplier but the inspection. This research will focus on the electronic-related industries, and discuss the condition of application, The necessity and the advantage under the strict quality requirement by different condition factors, Such as the requirement of ISO the requirement from customers and the relationship between receivers and suppliers. We attend to define the role and the placement of Sampling Plan for the regular industries, and provide it as a reference of quality management and administration. We also hope it can be a contribution to the regular Industries in Taiwan.

Nowadays, of customers. Quality of product has become one of the most important considerations. Only height quality product can earn customer’s trust. Especially for inspection operation, it can identify conforming and nonconforming part. But at a limited labor power and time, it is impossible to have 100% inspection for every lot. Using MIL-STD-1916 as a sampling plan is a trend recently. MIL-STD-1916 is focus on supplier quality and it offers an effective acceptance techniques for manufactures. It fosters cooperative relationships between supplier and customer. The purpose of this study is to incorporate MIL-STD-1916 sampling plan in to in-coming inspection. In this study, MIL-STD-1916 replaced the original sampling plan of in-coming inspection of K company. The procedure of implementing MIL-STD-1916 sampling plan is based on the PDCA procedures. The result of this research shows that after implementing this sampling plan, the pass rate has enhanced and customer complains are reduced.

Abstract The changes in the environment and the continuous innovation and progress of science and technology affect the industry directly. The industry faces the need for transformation, the demand for industrial talents, the upgrading of system automation, and the reduction of the proportion of the working population. The functions of industrial talents are gradually being taken seriously. And the external functional course training is the key condition for the enterprise organization to break through the competition. This research is the functional connotation that the quality control personnel of the semiconductor packaging and testing industry U company already possess, and the professional functions that the quality control personnel should acquire .This research is to sort out the data according to the literature, uses the qualitative research method to conduct the functions of the quality control personnel, interviews quality people with the interview method, and uses the function verification to propose the main job responsibilities required for the construction of the quality control personnel of the U company. The routine quality control of staff and the discussion of the functional connotation "execution training and training transfer maintenance" and the impact of " Competency analysis", " Competency inventory" and " Competency gap" training needs. This study is to investigate how to effectively establish an aerospace quality management system through theories related to sampling plans under the stringent requirements of current international aviation regulations and specifications, combining theory and practice, and company case studies on the incoming inspection of aerospace fasteners. The aerospace quality management system in the study was constructed based on the AS9100 Aerospace Quality Management System (AQMS), basically following the ISO9001, to which mainly provide a corresponding one for the aerospace and defense organizations. The revolution version AS9100 2016 is even more tightly meeting the ISO9001 2015 standards, both of them were introduced almost simultaneously, and intimately associated with each other.Based on AS9100 2016, this study develops an effective sampling plan and method, and inspection procedure, integrating the operational status of aerospace industry and relationship of customer and supplier, to strictly control and mitigate the deficiencies of the materials and products supplied, and ensure the quality of aerospace industry in which create high value added and competitive advantage.
