Full textThe international criminal Court system (ICC) whose mission is to ensure international justice, is based on a close relationship with the security Council. So it is proper to wonder about the Council’s role in the functioning of international criminal justice. Such a questionning is fundamental, for the intervention of a political body into the functioning of a judicial body calls into question the missions of both institutions. The Council’s interference in the activity of the ICC, based on its mission of maintaining international peace, is actually carried out on behalf of an international order intended by the Council itself. This role affects the functioning, the independence and even the impartiality of the ICC. The powers the Rome Statute gives to the Council allow it to refer to the ICC, to impose for the States to cooperate with the Court, to suspend its activity or also to qualify an act as a crime of aggression. However the relations between the Council and the ICC should not be subordinated, but maintained in mutual respect. Thus there is a real concern regarding the observance of the Rome Statute by the Council. The study highlights the conflict between justice and politics and reveals the current issues in terms of international criminal justice

Full textIn spite of a relatively low number of written dispositions dedicated to justice inside of the body of the Constitution of October 1958 4th, the constitutional Council, while updating this text through the Declaration of Human Rights, contributed to the development of a procedural constitutional law, which is structured around guiding principles. Those principles can be classified within three different categories : two major categories depend on the trial actor that is primarily concerned, either the judge or the parties; a third and additional category pertaining to procedural protections, fosters the essential qualities of the judge and secure the protection of the parties’ rights. A gradation of the requirements of the constitutional Council is discreetly perceptible between the first two categories of principles, and more easily identifiable between those first two categories and the last one. This decreasing scale of “density” yoked to the trial guiding principles highlights a genuine judicial policy when it comes to procedural constitutional law, emphasizing access to the judge, whom is given essential qualities in order to achieve its judicial duty. However, the action of the French constitutional judge, as satisfactory as it is towards the rights of the trial, would easily support the intervention of the constituent power in order to update Justice’s constitutional status

This study analyzes the motions of independent suspension systems, including Macpherson Struct type, and Double-Wishbone type, usually found in general-purpose passenger cars. The researcher first establishes the 2-D mathematical models of these two suspension systems, and calculates the camber angle and wheel center lateral displacement relative to vehicle height, wheel vertical displacement, vehicle roll, variation of linkage length and joint shift by using closure equation. Then the characteristics of different independent suspension systems are compared and the analysis results are contrasted through ADMS/CAR software. The comparisons show that there is a little difference between the results by closure equations and that by ADMS/CAR software. Therefore, before proceeding to software simulation, the researcher can analyze the motions of independent suspension systems qualitatively by using closure equations.

This paper processes an independent rear suspension for the front power source, front-wheel drive for low-floor buses. The suspension type is decided by using the structural synthesis base on design conditions. When the suspension type is decided, the dimension of the each kinematic link is determined by using the analytical linkage synthesis, and the mathematical model is established by the constraint equation. During the bump and rebound, the toe angle, camber angle and track is calculated by Matlab. If the goal is not fulfilled, the dimension of the kinematic links is adjusted by sensitivity analysis. After the goal is achieved, the mathematical model is compared to the virtual model by simulation software ADAMS. This paper can be applied to develop the low-floor bus for increasing the space between arches.

Most current Non-Independent suspensions use simple 4-bar linkages by linking them to bodies to achieve the resistance of rolling. However, some of these mechanisms occupy a large quantity of space, which reduce the passenger space, and even increase the weight of entire vehicle. This study proposes several types of planetary gear mechanism to substitute the original 4-bar linkage, by using the features of straight track on specific condition, in addition to minimize the size of mechanism, then develop a novel Non-Independent suspension. According to body roll angle versus roll stiffness and body center gravity translation, this study selects the best mechanism design way which has good performance on roll stiffness, center gravity location and size. The purpose is to let passengers tilt less during cornering, and maintains the axle being horizontal to the road, which made more tire contact to the road to ensure the safety and stability of driving.

This research focuses on the riding comfortability of a bicycle with a front shock absorber and proposes a hardware and software design of an “add-on” type automatic shock absorber control system, the ShockTuner. The software controller switches the damping coefficient into various levels according to the road condition as well as the chassis vibrates. This study provides a computer-aided analysis model for ShockTuner frame including the actuator, verifying its structural strength and usability during certain vibrating situations. The authors implement a ShockTuner prototype and verify its functions and specifications on a standardized road surface with bumpers for various body weights, chassis velocities and controller parameters, and further feed the shock absorbing performance back to the parameter setting criteria. This research uses Android mobile devices as intermediary devices to transfer data and sensor signals between a cloud server and ShockTuner. ShockTuner detects the road condition in realtime with the accelerometers, derives the desired damping coefficient by using the user pre-settings , updates the settings and uploads them to the cloud database via Bluetooth and Wifi connections through our Android APP "STBicycle.". It follows the standards of cloud APPlication integration platforms NoSQL and BaaS. STBicycle allows riders to manually override the pre-settings for their own comfortability preferences, as well as displays sport records, parameters and chatting information.

This study proposes a finite element model of L type lower arm in front independent suspension system of automotive. And discuss the static stress in L-type lower arm by geometric form, dimension of cross-section and section layout. We can obtain the strength data of L-type lower arm in four direction of vehicle coordinate by static destructive test. It shows that L-type lower arm can not satisfy the specification in FT direction. Firstly, inputting the required load data to finite element model, then setting the same boundary condition as static destructive test and then choose the correct element type & size. The next step is to solve several modified case to find the minimum dimension of cross-section, the appropriate structural section layout and the correct form shape which can be satisfied the specification. This result of the study can use for preliminary design of L-type lower arm.

Suspensions are usually divided into two categories: solid axles and independent suspensions. Each wheel of a vehicle can move without affecting one another when using independent suspension systems. Independent front suspensions are widely used in light trucks and passenger vehicles recently. Independent suspensions can not only offer larger frame space but also reduce the wheel vibration in steering. Independent suspensions can also keep the tires in vertical positions on rough roads. Besides, independent suspensions allow long distance for the wheels to move up and down. This allows the suspension mechanism to absorb more energy. The dynamic properties of vehicle suspension systems depend upon the dimensions of the mechanisms and the external forces acting on the wheels. Therefore the dimensional synthesis of mechanism plays an important role in vehicle suspension design, especially in front suspensions, where steering mechanisms are present. The relative positions between wheels and the vehicle frame during steering will also affect the vehicle stability. This thesis takes the Short-Long Arm and the MacPherson Strut suspensions as examples of front suspensions, to study the synthesis and analysis of front suspensions. We derive synthesis equations and use numerical continuation method to solve them. Then we analyze the camber angle of the wheel base on our synthesis result. In these suspensions, there are three dyads of interest: S-S, R-S, and S-P dyads. To simplify the synthesis equations, we use displacement matrix and screw triangle geometry. In analysis, we solve the precision location of the wheel reference point by using Newton method. The analysis shows all the characteristics of suspensions between limiting positions. From the analysis results, we can not only evaluate the vehicle suitability but also obtain more parameters and know how they affect the performance of the mechanism. As a result, the design of suspension mechanism can be substantially improved.
