This article presents the design and construction of a mini magnetic levitation train. The design of the train is based on the theory of 3-phase Linear Induction Motor (LIM). The train consists of two main sections. The first part is the linear induction motor, which is the part that drives the train to move. The second part is the magnetic field winding, which is the part that raises the body of the train to float over the rails. Such train can move forward/backward in the same principle as forward/reverse rotation control of 3-phase induction motors. For that reason, this research controls t

An energy source fitted with auto switching circuitry with batteries and charging unit is used to drive the induction motor which in turn drives the alternator. However, these motors are vulnerable to various operational issues such as overcurrent, overheating, and single-phasing, which can lead to damage and reduced motor life. Protection mechanisms are essential to ensure the safe and efficient operation of SPIMs. This paper explores the design and implementation of a protection panel for single-phase induction motors. Conventionally, system simulations of induction motor drives use lumped parameters model of the motor. This approach assumes motor parameters to be constant during the entire operation of the drive. Unfortunately, these are known to vary significantly over the operating range of the motor due to factors such as magnetic saturation, skin effects, and operating temperature. The variations in motor parameters affect motor output and control parameters resulting in degraded drive performance. One way of overcoming this problem is by coupling the field model of the induction motor with the drive si

Wind energy is a relatively young but rapidly expanding industry. In order for wind generation to be cost effective, it must produce energy at a minimum cost per dollar of investment. Performance characteristics such as power output versus wind speed must be optimized in order to compete with other energy sources. Also, if the utility uses wind power for a part of its generation, the output power of these turbines must have the same high quality and reliability when it enters the utility grid. The ability to vary operating speed is important in wind generation because it allows for an optimiza

The original design is transformed into a “locked” design such that the circuit reveals its correct functionality only when it is “unlocked” with a secret sequence of bits—the key bit-string. However, strong attacks, especially the SAT attack that uses a SAT solver to recover the key bit-string, have been profoundly effective at breaking the locked circuit and recovering the circuit functionality. We lift logic locking to Higher Order Logic Locking
