Full textThe main purpose of the strategic plan in the automotive sector seeks sustainable development, taking advantage of the country's economic growth and dynamism of the sector, through the establishment of strategies to position it as one of the main sectors in Latin America, worrying about welfare of its stakeholders and impacting in less measure in the environment. This paper draws on successful models applied in countries of the region; these models were developed in less favorable conditions as the one we have in Peru’s automotive sector today. Additionally, it shows how exploiting a comparative advantage, the sector can be improved to make it more competitive. Furthermore, this study shows that many of the objectives are likely to be achieved, because there are factors favoring the conditions for its realization. These factors are as follows: (a) free trade agreements with producing countries, (b) increased demand for vehicles in Peru, and (c) high rates of motorization in Peru. However, it is important to mention that as part of the package of strategies proposed by this study, there are some whose operation necessarily depends on the participation of the state, which will create the conditions to encourage investment in this sector, these conditions can be reflected through tax incentives applied for a certain period or for the promulgation of regulations restricting the import of used vehicles and encourage the purchase of new ones. This is because the sector, due to the level of investment involved, has great potential for the creation of formal jobs, increase tax revenues, increase GDP and generate greater dynamism in the economy.

Full textEuromotors SA es el representante exclusivo de las marcas Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, y SEAT en el Perú. Fundada en 1993, la compañía ha logrado desarrollarse y crecer como importador y distribuidor de autos, teniendo más de una docena de concesionarios alrededor de Lima, encargados de la venta de vehículos, nuevos y usados, así como de proveer el servicio post-venta y la venta de repuestos originales. En base a un proyecto de consultoría que incluye un análisis interno y externo, se definió el principal problema de Euromotors, el cual es la falta de adaptabilidad en el mercado actual. Este afecta a toda la compañía y evita que esta logre la visión de entender las necesidades de los clientes. Dicho esto, el objetivo de las propuestas de mejora es resolver el problema formulando y sugiriendo la implementación de soluciones eficientes, fundamentadas en análisis cualitativo y cuantitativo. De ser implementadas, estas propuestas ayudarán a la compañía a mejorar su performance y sus resultados operativos, incrementando también su reputación en un mercado bastante dinámico y competitivo. Los resultados muestran que Euromotors principalmente carecía de mecanismos para evaluar su performance, así como también una presencia en redes sociales prácticamente nula. Con las soluciones propuestas, Euromotors tendrá la capacidad de medir y evaluar su performance mediante el uso de indicadores de venta. Asimismo, la compañía y su concesionario principal, Euroshop, tendrán la posibilidad de mejorar su presencia en línea, la cual actualmente se encuentra descuidada, dejando impresiones positivas en sus marcas autorizadas y servicio al cliente. En términos generales, estas medidas permitirán a la compañía interactuar y comunicarse efectivamente con sus clientes y el público en general, alineándola con su visión y metas, permitiendo a la compañía entender, satisfacer y anticipar las necesidades de sus clientes; y más aún, adaptarse a los cambios externos de la industria y de las preferencias del consumidor
Euromotors SA is the exclusive representative of the Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, and SEAT brands in Peru. Founded in 1993, the company has grown in size and sophistication from an automobile importer to over one dozen concessionaires in locations around Lima engaged in the sale of vehicles, new and used cars, servicing and sale of original spare parts. Euromotors is looking at opportunities to improve its competitive position within the Peruvian automotive retail sector after a few years of declining profitability. Based on a consulting process that included both company and industry analysis, the main problem of Euromotors was defined, which is the lack of adaptability to the current market environment. This problem affects 'the company as a whole and prevents them from achieving their vision of understanding the customers’ needs. Therefore, the goal of this proposal is to solve said problem by formulating and suggesting cost-effective solutions, founded in both qualitative and quantitative analysis. When applied, these proposals will help improve the company’s bottom line and enhance its reputation in a rapidly changing and increasingly competitive marketplace dominated, particularly at the entry-level vehicle segment, by Asian brands. The findings showed that Euromotors mainly lacked a way to track its performance and had almost no social media presence. With the proposed solution, the company will now have the capability to measure and track its performance through the use of sales KPIs. Moreover, Euromotors and its dealer, Euroshop, will be able to improve their online marketing presence, leaving a positive impression on their brands and customer service attitudes. Overall, these measures will enable the company to interact and communicate effectively with its customers, aligning it with its vision and goals, allowing the company to understand, satisfy and anticipate its customers’ needs, and, most importantly, be able to adapt to changes in the external environment and consumer behaviors

Full textEl presente documento propone el Planeamiento Estratégico del Sector de Comercio Automotriz de Vehículos Ligeros de vehículos ligeros en el Perú. Para ello, se han desarrollado 10 capítulos de manera metódica y según la teoría propuesta por D’Alessio (2013), con el objetivo de facilitar e incrementar el comercio automotriz de vehículos ligeros de vehículos ligeros y la producción de autopartes; teniendo en cuenta que el Perú no es un país productor, sino más bien importador de autos para el consumo local. Asimismo, se busca lograr, a futuro, una demanda lo suficientemente importante como para poder pensar en la implementación de una planta de ensamblaje. Ello implica que, además de promover la tenencia de un mayor número de autos por habitante, se fomente la renovación del parque automotor, con los beneficios que dicha acción podría traer, tales como la reducción de emisión de gases contaminantes, disminución de accidentes por fallas mecánicas, vehículos más eficientes que permiten un ahorro del propietario, entre otros. Es así que la estructura planteada parte de un análisis tanto del país como del sector, así como de los factores que influyen en su desarrollo. Posteriormente, se proponen los objetivos de corto plazo con base en las estrategias derivadas de enfrentar las fortalezas y debilidades versus las oportunidades y amenazas del sector. Los objetivos de corto plazo constituirán como sumatoria los objetivos de largo plazo, los cuales junto con la misión, visión, valores y ética del sector construyen el planeamiento estratégico que permite poner en marcha acciones necesarias e importantes para el desarrollo del comercio automotriz de vehículos ligeros de vehículos ligeros en el país
This document proposes a strategic planning for the automotive trade sector in Peru. It has been methodically developed in ten chapters based on the theory proposed by D' Alessio (2013) in order to facilitate and increase national automotive trade and automotive parts production, since Peru is not an automobile producer but importer for local consumption. In addition, this strategic planning aims to increase the car demand enough to think in a future automobile assembly plant implementation. This means that besides to promote a major automobile holding per capita, also promotes the renewal of the fleet, with the benefits that this renewal could bring, such as reducing greenhouse gas emissions, reduced accidents by mechanical failures, more efficient vehicles, among others. In this context, the paper structure proposes an analysis of both the country and the sector as well as the factors that influence the development of both. Then the short-term objectives are constructed, based on the strategies derived from addressing the strengths and weaknesses versus opportunities and threats of the said sector. Once identified the short-term objectives, they constitute as sum, the long-term objectives, which together with the mission, vision, values and ethics in the sector, will enable to develop the sector strategic planning, allowing to implement necessary and important actions for the development of automotive trade in the country

Full textIn this thesis we sought to investigate what was the level of implementation of the nine factors of the TQM defined by Benzaquen (2013) in the automotive industry of Lima Metropolitana. For this purpose, a database of companies that offer a commercialization of light, medium and heavy vehicles was compiled. The research had a quantitative approach, of descriptive scope; a non-experimental and transactional design was used. As a result of the investigation it was determined that most factors higher average values were obtained , which would indicate that there is a high level of compliance with the factors of TQM . The scope of the present investigation was limited to the sample obtained 25 automotive companies of Lima Metropolitana, which is why the results cannot be inferred to the whole sector.

Full textThe present study is about the strategic planning of the company Autopartes La Repuestera SAC, a microenterprise of the category of motor vehicle parts. This work starts with the analysis of the current situation, followed by the establishment of the vision, mission, values, and code of ethics. Later an external analysis is performed through the environment of PESTE forces in order to identify the opportunities and threats of the company. Then, internal evaluation is developed by determining the strengths and weaknesses of the company through internal analysis AMOFHIT. The interests of the Organization and the long-term objectives are determined. After that, the matching of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats is performed using the SWOT, SPACE, BCG, Internal –External and Grand Strategy matrices, in order to choose the strategies that will be developed. Then, the implementation of the Strategic Plan begins, considering the long-term objectives. During this stage, the short-term objectives and the resources allocated to these are defined, as well as the policies for each strategy. All this, taking care for the environment, sustainable social growth and cooperation with related community (stakeholders). In the third stage, the Strategic Assessment is developed using four control perspectives: internal learning, processes, customers, and finances; of the Balanced Score Card (BSC), to monitor the achievement of the objectives and perform corrective actions in order to realize the vision of Autopartes La Repuestera SAC for the year 2018.

Full textLa presente investigación tiene como finalidad evaluar el nivel de cumplimiento de la calidad total en el sector automotriz liviano y de pasajeros en Lima Metropolitana. Para este propósito se utilizó la herramienta de medición de calidad construida en la investigación realizada por Benzaquen a empresas peruanas sobre su gestión de calidad. Esta herramienta ha establecido una medida de implementación de la gestión de la calidad basada en nueve factores de éxito para la calidad total. La investigación se ha realizado utilizando una muestra de 70 altos directivos de las empresas del sector materia de estudio con el fin de determinar el nivel de cumplimiento de los factores de éxito de la Calidad Total. El estudio realizado evidenció la existencia de un nivel menor de cumplimiento de los nueve factores con respecto a los hallazgos de Benzaquen, existiendo factores que no se aplicarían al sector por las características del mismo
The present research aims to assess the level of compliance with total quality in automotive lightweight and passengers sector in Lima Metropolitana. For this purpose, the quality measurement tool built on research by Benzaquén in Peruvian companies about their evolution in quality management was used. This tool provides a measure of implementation of quality management based on nine success factors for total quality. The research was conducted using a sample of 70 senior managers of companies in the sector to determine the level of compliance of the success factors of total quality. The study revealed the existence of a lower level of compliance of the nine factors with respect to the findings of Benzaquén, some factors that would not apply to the sector by its characteristics
