Abstract:
The main aim of the article is to understand the influence of factors biasing purchase decisions connected with measurement of consumers’ involvement. Consumption expenditures are purposefully subdivided according to the classification made by the Statistical Office of the European Communities. The performed survey showed that the most important factors biasing purchases of all commodity groups are products’ characteristics and the perceived quality. Together with these goes the factor price, nevertheless for example for the commodity group health price did not appear in the scale of the perceived importance at all. Factor necessity of need proved to be significant for decision making about the purchase of all commodities with the exception of alcoholic drinks and tobacco and recreation. Former experience compared to that is not crucial for clothing and footwear and housing equipment and contents. For alcoholic drinks and tobacco, there has notably approved also the factor brand. These analyses enable disclosure of rules of consumer decision making and thereby definition which factors for individual commodities should be targeted by the help of the marketing doyens or where the gradual changes should be achieved.

Abstract:
Daylight has been used for centuries as the main source of light in the interior and has always been an implicit part of architecture since the buildings existed. Not only does it replace electrical lighting during the day, reducing electric power consumption, but it also affects heating and cooling, making it an important parameter in energy efficient design. Research has shown that daylight is a great asset to health and comfort, so it is crucial for building occupants. Daylighting of the interior spaces of buildings and their functionally defined parts is proposed according to visual activities. The minimum values for daylight factor are set for individual visual activities. This article deals with factors influencing the value of the daylight factor.

Abstract:
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to examine socially responsible investment (SRI) fund performance and investigate the factors influencing fund performance. Design/methodology/approach The study uses return data from the Morningstar database for 152 SRI funds from January 1995 to May 2015. The initial analysis includes the use of various risk-adjusted performance measures, including Sharpe ratio, Treynor ratio, Information ratio, Sortino ratio and M2. The study also uses four factor models, including Jensen single-factor model, Fama–French three-factor model, Carhart four-factor model and Fama–French five-factor model to explain SRI fund returns. Finally, a cross-sectional regression analysis is applied to investigate the determinants of SRI fund returns. Findings The results show that, on average, the SRI funds provide comparable risk-adjusted returns relative to various benchmark market indices. Market factor is significant in explaining SRI fund returns. Examining each factor model, the results do not support Fama–French’s three-factor model as neither size nor value factor is significant. The author finds weak support for Carhart’s momentum factor along with the market factor. Finally, the Fama–French five-factor model shows market, size and operating profit factors explain SRI fund returns. The study also finds the fund performance is stronger for funds with the higher turnover ratio, the larger fund size and more managerial experience and lower for funds with higher expense ratio. Also, funds formed with negative screening perform better than positive or mixed screened funds. Originality/value SRI funds have received considerable attention from investors. This study contributes to the literature by examining SRI fund performance and investigating factors influencing their performance using multiple factor models and cross-sectional regression analysis. The findings are relevant for investors who demand responsible investment opportunities without sacrificing returns for nonfinancial screenings. Findings also suggest that investors should consider fund characteristics when selecting SRI funds.

Abstract:
Taking raw coal and briquette coal samples with preset center holes as research objects, this paper makes a systematic analysis and research of crack evolution laws of the two different coal samples under the local load. The results show that the raw coal and briquette coal samples are different mainly in number, dimension, and complexity of the internal microstructures, so it is not right to replace raw coal with briquette coal when performing observational study of the crack evolution of microstructures; under the effect of local load, local property, randomness of crack initiation position, and crack initiation stress of raw coal samples are greater than those of briquette coal samples; law of instantaneous maximum effective cut-through rate of raw coal samples is more complex than that of briquette coals; under the effect of uniformly distributed load, end effect factor Fe, sample microstructure influencing factor Fs, and preset center hole factor Fh are the major factors influencing crack growth, among which the amplified end effect factor Fe and sample microstructure influencing factor Fs are dominant factors; under the effect of local load, local load influencing factor Fp, end effect factor Fe, sample microstructure influencing factor Fs, and preset center hole factor Fs are the major factors influencing crack growth, among which the local load influencing factor Fp, end effect factor Fe, and sample microstructure influencing factor Fs are dominant factors. Compared with briquette coal samples, raw coal samples are more sensitive to influencing factors, such as local load influencing factor Fp, end effect factor Fe, sample microstructure influencing factor Fs, and preset center hole factor Fh, and can aggravate the influence of these factors on the crack growth; the paper also puts forward a method for describing local load based on a coupling mechanical model of uniaxial compression and local shear.

Abstract:
The prison staff is a key factor in the progress of the institution which means that their behaviour directly affects the services it provides. Prisons aim serving the sentence and rehabilitation of prisoners. If the employees of the institution will feel tired, stressed, consume professionally then decrease their effectiveness and performance, which has a direct effect on the life of a prisoner. Professionals dehumanized do not help in achieving the final goal of rehabilitation and teaching positive behaviour of prisoners. This study investigates one of three dimensions of burnout, depersonalization. The aim is to measure the level of depersonalization of the prison staff and to identify the factors influencing it. Quantitative research method was used for data collection and analyse. Cristina Maslach Inventory is completed from 290 participants, aiming to measure the level of depersonalization. The study found out that male professionals, divorced, those who work with the target of the men, and an employee who had a great distance from the place of work were more dehumanized. The quality of relationship with superiors and colleagues affects depersonalization. The less level of communication and cooperation in organization the higher is the level of emotional exhaustion, consequently the level of depersonalization is higher. As conclusion the prevalence of depersonalization is evident in prison staff, but in low levels. Dominant factors influencing depersonalization are the quality of relationship with superiors and colleagues.

Abstract:
Abstract. Purpose – study the effect of enterosorbent on the immunological parameters of blood and the productivity of young cattle. Methods. The object of the study was newborn calves from 2 to 6 days of age (n = 54). Studies on the enterosorbent based on colloidal silicon dioxide (CSD) for calves with alimentary dyspepsia have been carried out. During the experiment, the clinical condition of the animals, the increase in live body weight were evaluated, blood samples were taken for immunohematological studies. Results. In calves at 2–6 days of age, alimentary dyspepsia is accompanied by the development of endogenous intoxication of the body. Animals show leukocytosis – 16.60 ± 5.11×109/l; leukocyte shift to the left with an increase in the number of adolescent and stab neutrophils – 1.41 ± 0.23×109/l; monocytes up to 1.21 ± 0.13x×109/l; circulating immune complexes (CIC) level in blood serum up to 202.4 ± 8.5 cu Under conditions of endogenous intoxication, the immunological protection of the organism was characterized by an increase in the number of phagocytic cells to 71 % of the total number of granulocytes. Clinical symptoms of endogenous intoxication in 86 % of cases disappeared by the 5th day of the use of enterosorbent CSD in the treatment regimen of calves with alimentary dyspepsia. This is associated with blocking and weakening the inflammatory response in the gastrointestinal tract. The effect of enterosorbent CSD on the immunological parameters was expressed in a balanced stabilization of the processes of phagocytosis and immunogenesis. The trend towards normalization of immunological parameters was registered: the level of the CIC was significantly reduced to 97.5 ± 5.48 cu; the phagocytic activity (PA) of the neutrophilic cells was 50.1 ± 2.4 %. Treatment of animals according to the basic scheme approved by the farm turned out to be less effective. In calves that did not receive enterosorbent CSD, in 11 % of cases, clinical manifestations of endogenous intoxication were recorded up to and including 14 days. In these animals, the level of the CIC remained high – 143.6 ± 8.57 cu, the voltage of phagocytic function was noted – 64.3 ± 7.6 % and the imbalance in the ratio of T/B-lymphocytes – 1.13 (normal 1.5–2.0). The effect of the CSD enterosorbent on the calves productivity was reflected in the fact that the rate of weight gain during the experiment was higher in the experimental group. At 4 months, their weight was 149.17 ± 13.57 kg, while in the control group and the comparison group – 135.00 ± 5.00 and 130.00 ± 22.73 kg, respectively. Scientific novelty. Alimentary dyspepsia causes the development of endogenous intoxication in the body of newborn calves. The lack of therapeutic measures leads to a long recovery period and a decrease in productivity.

Abstract:
Beech is, thanks to its root system, in general considered to be a wind-resistant woody plant species. Nevertheless, the research on beech root systems has revealed that it is not possible to mechanically divide the woody plants into deep rooted and shallow rooted, because their root systems are modified according to various stand conditions. The root system shape, growth and development are mostly influenced by soil conditions and groundwater level. In the case of a high groundwater level beech root systems do not form tap roots and the lateral roots are rather thin and weak. Important factor for the tree static stability is number of roots with diameter 3–10 cm. The most important for the tree stability are roots with diameter over 10 cm. Wood-destroying fungi have strong negative impact on tree static stability. There are differences between beech below-ground biomass growing in soils rich in nutrients and poor in nutrients. The total below-ground biomass of the beech stands poor in nutrients is higher.

Abstract:
The research of the influence of the relevant factors and their interrelations on the economics of the pork meat production on a farm has been carried out with the help of the method of production functions (factor – product and factor – factor). The influence of the weight of an animal on the daily growth tells us that the growth is increased with the increase of the entry weight to 19 kg and with the exit weight of the fattened animal of 100 kg . The growth is decreased over these weights. The relationship between the daily growth and the feed costs by a feeding day shows us the tendency of the increase of a daily growth with the increase of the feed costs. With the increase of labour inputs to 2.6 hours/100 kg of the live weight and the increased profit to 29 monetary units, first, the daily growth is decreased, and, then, it begins to grow. Labour productivity grows with the increase of the capacity usage to 87%, and, then, it decreases. The influence of the feedlot capacity usage on the productivity measured by the correlation coefficient is 0.756 at the risk level of 1%. With the increase of the feedlot capacity usage, the economics of production is increased and the cost price is decreased. The economics of the production of pork meat is increased with a decreasing rate with the increase of the daily growth. The manifold influence of the examined factors on the economics movement is low (R = –0.355). The partial influence of the costs to the economy is 90.3% that of the direct costs is 80.3%, from which the feed costs have an influence of 51.7%. The influence of the indirect costs on the economics is low, but with their increase, the economics is decreased. It has been noticed that the economics changes can be explained with 66.8% by the change of the relationship of the selling and purchasing price of pigs and the purchasing price of feed concentrate. By the relationship of the price of the fattened animals and the feed concentrate lower than 1 : 5, the economic result is below 1, and above the previously mentioned parity, the economics is increased as well as the economic effects of production.

Abstract:
The evolution of landslide displacement is affected by many factors. Therefore, it has great significance to find out the factors which play the main role for the landslide dynamic evolution and inducing mechanism. This paper takes Liangshuijing Landslide as an example, combining with the displacement monitoring data, and selects the rainfall of current month, cumulative rainfall of anterior two months, monthly maximum reservoir water level and the monthly average reservoir water level as influencing factors. According to factor analysis, two main factors and rotated component matrix are extracted. And the main influencing factors for the landslide displacement of every year are found. With the comprehensive analysis of the factor loadings in the four factors, we can get the influencing degree order for Liangshuijing Landslide displacement evolution as follows: cumulative rainfall of anterior two months> rainfall of current month> the average reservoir level of current month>reservoir level fluctuation of current month.
