This paper describes a computer program that implements an algorithm for com- pressing technological information with losses using archive data of the information-measuring system "Skala-micro" of the Kursk and Smolensk NPPs as an example. The presented al- gorithm allows to compress file archives at the data level with the possibility of their quick subsequent recovery within the limits of the acceptable error. The main goal of the algorithm is to significantly reduce the excess amount of memory when storing data for its subsequent more efficient use.

This Repository Information System is an idea that appears to help agencies manage thesis archiving that was previously still done conventionally by collecting the results of thesis binding (hardcopy) and CD containing thesis files along with the source code of the program that was made (softcopy) into a digital system new and modern. Repository Information System is a system that is expected to help the School of Information and Computer Management (STMIK) Shaykh Zainuddin NW Anjani to organize the archiving of thesis data that has been done by students to be neater, safer and easier to manag

Abstract This article discusses the availability and completeness of medical data on workers from the AREVA NC Pierrelatte nuclear plant and their possible use in epidemiological research on cardiovascular and metabolic disorders related to internal exposure to uranium. We created a computer database from files on 394 eligible workers included in an ongoing nested case-control study from a larger cohort of 2897 French nuclear workers. For each worker, we collected records of previous employment, job positions, job descriptions, medical visits, and blood test results from medical history. The d

It is generally assumed that the variability of neuronal morphology has an important effect on both the connectivity and the activity of the nervous system, but this effect has not been thoroughly investigated. Neuroanatomical archives represent a crucial tool to explore structure–function relationships in the brain. We are developing computational tools to describe, generate, store and render large sets of three–dimensional neuronal structures in a format that is compact, quantitative, accurate and readily accessible to the neuroscientist. ABSTRACT This case study re-evaluates a large-scale project carried out by the National Archives of Australia (NAA) between 2003 and 2006. The project aimed to identify obsolete digital media (physical data carriers) in its collection and to describe and recover the data from the carriers using a third-party data recovery provider.1 A detailed process for data recovery was developed that included the capture of a full audit trail of steps in the data recovery process. The project was completed in four stages: phase 1 obtained bit-level images from the carriers; phase 2 extracted individual bit
