Abstract:
We can see that the today’s management level of informations is not quite fully controlled in most businesses. Nowadays generation of information systems creates support for business processes with the aim of optimalization of these processes on the bases of experiences with similar business processes. Today’s information systems are at the level of data management or information management. Quite a few manage information processes in the area of tactical and strategic planning and almost no one manages processes in the areas of gathering, distribution and sharing of knowledge in business. We can say, that investments to the information technologies do not guarantee the successful way to the management of information and knowledge in business.

Development of technology which progress rapidly has effect to change whole of aspects in human life. One of them is development of information technology. Development of information technologies can apply on web based information systems. Many agencies have moved to web based inforation systems because of web based is more efective and eficient used. BEM UNP as executive campuss organization has a budget which the aim is implement activities to bend students characters. Examples are national seminars, talkshow, debates, open recruitment for new members, etc. The activities definitely are not without process of registration from participants. Most of the students want to participate in that activity. Usually get troubles activity informations, or trouble in registration directly to committe web based information systems used is one of the effective facilities to share activities process. The design of web based information syste, of BEM UNP visualizes by UML with using several object oriented of visualized diagrams. The result of web based information systems of BEM UNP is web based informations systems which give informations to BEM UNP and to ease students who want to bem participants in activities are implemented by BEM UNP. 'Information for management' and ' management of change' are represented together within nested ecosystems at organisa tion, organism and substance levels; the environment at one level includes those of any level below it. Products, processes and managing are slow-downs, speed-ups and changing, respec tively, of environmental change. The informations of a product or process are its properties. Informations can take affective (A) or potential (P) forms. A-informations can observably affect another product or process. Abstracts are P-informations detached from any product or process. Learning includes organising P-informations. The model explains existence possi bilities from substances to humans including 'library' versus 'information' people.

Data management is very necessary in an institution to facilitate data processing. One of them is Islamic education institutions or Islamic boarding schools that have developed nformation systems for Islamic boarding school. In building a boarding school information system, applications and data are needed. Data architecture obtained from a hierarchy of information systems consisting of executive information systems, management informations systems, and transaction processing systems. Architecture design of information systems for Islamic boarding school is done by building an ERD (Entity Relationship Diagram) from a collection of data needed on boarding school information systems. ERD is a database building model by describing relations between database entities.

Noruwana, Nimrod. "How do South African organisations adopt agile methodologies for software development in practice?" Master's thesis, University of Cape Town, 2010. http://hdl.handle.net/11427/11708.

Full text
Abstract:
Includes bibliographical references (leaves 81-90).
Before organisations adopt agile methods, they need to ensure that they are prepared for the change. They also need to understand the problems they are trying to address by adopting agile methods. Agile methods deviate substantially from traditional methods of systems development (Tolfo & Wazlawick, 2008). This, therefore, makes it difficult for organisations to adopt agile methods even though they might see them attractive, as the adoption of such methods has an effect on organisational culture. If the culture cannot accommodate an agile approach, then the organisation will not be able to adopt agile (Lindvall, Basisli, Boehm, Costa, Dangle, Shull, Teseriero, Williams & Zelkowitz, 2002). Having a culture that is conducive to the adoption of agile methods is almost unanimously perceived by agile experts to be a necessary factor for the introduction of agile methodologies (eWorkshop, 2002). It is also important to understand the phases organisations go through during the process of adopting agile methods.

Abstract:

This thesis has created an image of the exchange of information among teachers in the Swedish upper secondary school. The study indicates that the exchange of information seems to be limited at all levels and the exchange that takes place outside the own teaching team occurs mainly through teachers personal networks. The study also shows barriers that may exist and the opportunities that an increased exchange may generate. From the picture that the empirical material provides and the theory that is presented a discussion is made around how IT can best support the organizational learning in schools. A concrete proposal is that at national level an IT platform should be created, which primarily focuses on materials that are created by its users and has an open architecture with a single login.

Abstract:
Swedish health care is far behind society in general when it comes to using digital tools. One example of this is The Department for investigation of infectious diseases in Västerbotten, where work is still documented on paper or in Excel and stored in physical binders. As an attempt to start a first introductory conversation in order for Health Care to have an intuitive and aesthetically pleasing digital system that is more in phase with the present, this study aims to answer the question How could a digital infection tracking system be visualized to support Health Care in Västerbotten? This was investigated through an initial qualitative interview with two hygiene doctors and three hygiene nurses. The data was analyzed and resulted in four criteria to meet their needs and expectations. An exploratory design phase followed which led to the design of a clickable prototype. The prototype was tested under observation with four hygiene doctors and four hygiene nurses. The data from the observation was analyzed against the same four criteria, which showed that the criteria were met in some parts but also that a good user-friendly design needs more iterative laps. It also indicated the importance of information vitalization as a support to make work more efficient.

Abstract:
Abstract Computer-internal product description is limited to models consisting only of the geometry of a technical product and its components. The CAD modellers set up the geometry from elementary elements, which have no direct relation to their meaning for the real product and its production. Logical connections between geometry and important non-geometrical informations are missing. Many informations about the product are not stored and get lost when being modeled with present systems. Therefore CAD systems must provide more comprehensive functionalities than only possibility to describe the geometry of component parts and structural components. One approach of a uniform representation of different product information is the introduction of features as information carriers, which allow a grouping of data belonging together not only by geometric relation. Features must be implemented in CAx systems for a most complete possible support of the design activities. Feature modelling does not replace known techniques, but improves and completes them.

Abstract:
This paper presents an activity concerning a theoretical/experimental analysis of a new measurement system of the chain strength functional for the control of the electrically assisted bicycles. Such systems are characterized by a driving torque due to the contribution of an electric motor and of the rider. The electrical assistance is commonly regulated taking into account informations such as chain ring rotation, bicycle speed and/or the torque given by the rider. As a consequence, suitable measurements have to be made on board in order to handle the assistance performances and to improve drivability.

Abstract:
Blockchain based systems allow various kinds of financial transactions to be executed in a decentralized manner. However, these systems often rely on a trusted third party (oracle) to get correct information about the real-world events, which trigger the financial transactions. In this paper, we identify two biggest challenges in building decentralized, trustless and transparent oracles. The first challenge is acquiring correct information about the real-world events without relying on a trusted information provider. We show how a peer-consistency incentive mechanism can be used to acquire truthful information from an untrusted and self-interested crowd, even when the crowd has outside incentives to provide wrong informations. The second is a system design and implementation challenge. For the first time, we show how to implement a trustless and transparent oracle in Ethereum. We discuss various non-trivial issues that arise in implementing peer-consistency mechanisms in Ethereum, suggest several optimizations to reduce gas cost and provide empirical analysis.

Abstract:
This work focuses on the development of a methodology for the complete reconstruction of the 3D geometry of a concrete bridge. 3D scanning technology was selected as the most apt to the task as it provides very detailed geometrical informations. A dedicated carriage system for a compact and lightweight laser scanner has been designed and built as a first prototype to be used on laboratory as well as future on-field tests. A first assessment of the design constraints has been carried out, based on the general goal of implementing a system able to be used with existing inspection vehicles with minimal modifications. The specific electronic system for management and control of the carriage system and the management of the associated tracking system has been also designed and realized. Some preliminary tests have been performed at Politecnico di Milano University campus to assess the viability and analyze the performance of the early design choices.
