Abstract:
We inhale oxygen to produce energy by oxidizing our food. However, almost 10% of the inhaled oxygen is escaped that basic route, and start to oxidize our bodies. This phenomenon referred to as “oxidatve stress”. This, chemical stress, can be reduced, by higher Vitamin C concentraton. Those who sport will inhale more oxygen and consequently, they have even higher “oxidatve stress” and need substantally higher Vitamin C concentraton. Since Vitamin C is not a drug, but only strengthening the human body, therefore, there is no danger if, for the sake of success, we take more Vitamin C, than, absol

IntroductionBoth in vitro and in vivo radiolabelled studies on nebulisation via high-flow nasal cannula showed that inhaled dose decreases as the administered gas flow increases. In our previous in vitro study, we investigated the effects of the ratio of gas flow to subject’s peak inspiratory flow (GF:IF) on the aerosol deposition, which increased as the GF:IF decreased, with an optimal GF:IF between 0.1 and 0.5 producing a stable ‘lung’ deposition in both quiet and distressed breathing. Thus, we aim to validate our in vitro findings in subjects with reversible airflow limitations by assessing

It was based on a recently described method for scintigraphic visualization of the bronchi (bronchoscintigraphy). After an initial bronchoscintigram had been made by having the subjects inhale aerosolized 99mTc-albumin, they inhaled either terbutaline or placebo from a metered-dose inhaler. Subsequently, data acquisition for production of bronchoscintigrams was repeated at 10 min intervals for 120 min, and the mucociliary clearance was estimated
