Full textSynen på hur värde skapas för kunder har allt mer kommit att förändras. Framförallt handlar det om hur allt fler företag kommit till insikt med att de kan generera högre värde genom att samskapa tjänster tillsammans med kunden. Bostadsbolaget Mimer i Västerås upplever i vissa fall att de inte skapar tillräckligt värde för deras hyresgäster och allmänheten. Detta har lagt grunden till denna kvalitativa studie, där syftet är att i samtal med medarbetare och ledare ta reda på om Mimer har förutsättningar för att arbeta med samskapande aktioner samt i så fall redogöra med hjälp av teorier vad det är som tyder på detta. Empirin består dels av intervjuer med ledare inom Mimer, och dels av relevanta dokument som kan tänkas påverka eller främja bolagets möjligheter att arbeta med samskapande processer. Resultatet av studien visar att Mimer på flera sätt arbetar med processer som skulle kunna vara en grogrund för samskapande aktioner.

Full textIn an increasingly globalized world where the supply of products increases, it is difficult to create a strong and sustainable brand in the market. Since there are currently few tools and concepts in the field of internal brand building I have chosen to study how the brand can be strengthened from the inside out. In the study, I have looked into the concept of Brand citizenship behavior, an area that is relatively new and is based on the employee's impact on the brand. An explorative case study was used to examine the stories reproduced in substance. This by interviewing seven employees at the company Saltå kvarn. The empirical material is analyzed from theories about Brand citizenship behavior, Organizational citizenship behavior and organizational theories. Based on existing theories and the study's analysis, I have developed a model that can be used by executive senior management and CEO’s. This can be used as a tool to promote Brand citizenship behavior in the workplace and encourage employees to further personal involvement, which affects the company, brand and organization. The study contributes to a better understanding about the subject and it shows on the employee's impact on the brand, something that can strengthen the whole company from the inside and out.

Full textBackground: Opening up a firm's innovation process, both within the organization and outside its boundaries, is of high importance in today’s society. Within the open innovation literature (OI), studies on outbound OI marks a relatively unexplored area. By conducting a literature review we identified three areas within the outbound OI literature, that are in need of further research: advantages and disadvantages, success factors and viewing these aspects from an SME-perspective. According to the European Commission (2018) 99.8% of the companies within the EU are SMEs, hence making the perspective of SMEs an interesting base for researching advantages, disadvantages and success factors within outbound OI. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to contribute to an increased understanding of how Swedish SMEs practice outbound OI. This is achieved by looking at the main advantages and disadvantages with the process, as well as identifying success factors and how these relate to the main advantages and disadvantages. Method: This is a qualitative multiple case study, in which five cases have been studied. The study is based on the philosophical standpoint of realism, with an abductive approach, in order to enable testing as well as the creation of theory. The empirical data consists of five semi-structured interviews with representatives from five different Swedish SMEs within the life-science industry. Conclusions: The study identifies two, respectively four, main advantages of the selling and revealing form of outbound open innovation. Regarding the main disadvantages, two disadvantages is presented for each form of outbound OI. Furthermore, the study identifies seven success factors, of which five are critical and two are enablers, which are considered important for Swedish SMEs who practice outbound OI. These success factors contribute in achieving the main advantages, while their effect on minimizing the main disadvantages has been identified to a lesser extent. Lastly, it is concluded that the revealing form is used in order to enable the selling form of outbound OI. This differs from how previous research has presented the two forms, as being performed separately. Hence, this is one of the study’s theoretical, as well as empirical, contributions to the research field of outbound OI.

Full textThis thesis discuss the matter of non-profit-making associations as a self regulatory technique out of a theoretical concept of power. The object for the study is the non-profit-making association Ditt Nya Hageby, which work in the neigborhood of Hageby, a suburb to Norrköping. In the study the association is placed in a contemporary postmodern social context and analyzed through semi- structured qualitative interviews, accordingly to hermeneutical method, with five active members of the association as informants. The association consists of members who lives in the neighborhood. Together with a hired organizer they realizes their own ideas in to projects which unquestionably improves the social and physical enviroment in Hageby. The author of this thesis, however argues their activities also can be looked at in a normative way concerning social order in a non-compelling sence. Thus the author means that the association, in this particular sense, could be understood theoretically by implying Michel Foucaults govermentality concept. In order to reach the final conclusion the informants experience concerning sense of community and identity in relation to Ditt Nya Hageby is analyzed. Further theoretical framework is provided by Ferdinand Tönnies concepts of gemeinschaft/gesellschaft and Jürgen Habermas civil publicity. The paper also accounts for what the authorbelieves to be the ideological/methodological basis for Ditt Nya Hageby’s activities by presenting and discussing the"from the inside out"-perspective which is recomended by John P. Kretzman&John.L McKnight regarding the reconstruction, in a wider sense, of exposed neigborhoods.
