Full textParticular design aspects valid for any classroom used for teaching swedich language and grammar within the prescool. In early teaching of elementary scool in the subject swedich language the environment are essential. By introducing a changing language environment pupils are encouraged to become curious, interested and active. Reshuffling so everybody sees everybody, includes a clarification of who and what we have access to, and enables a group of people taking to each other. Rooms for talks and discussions are importent in learning activities. This study aims to gain insights and experiences regarding particular design aspects of any classroom, especially those used for teaching swedich language and grammar within the preschool. Thus has the teachers different ways to organise the classroom been investigated. This has been carried out by means of interviewing four teachers in four different schools that all of them were responsible for pupils within the forms 1-3 as well as by mapping/documenting each of the four classrooms. By means of processing information collected by meens of interviews and mappings/documentations of each classroom. I have been able to connect this particular information to specific discussions based on a presented survey of the relevant literature, which also is comprised in this report/study. This in turn has allowed me to illuminate and discuss the particular design aspects sought for. One example of the findings brought forward; while teaching swedish was among other things the possibilities for rearranging the seats in the classroom underlined by as being crucial. That is, the four interviewed teachers were all of them advocating for a classroom which allowed the pupils to vary theirs positions and constellations in order to thereby promote an enhanced cooperation between themselves, as well as also to so to say create rooms within then room.

Full textThe focus of this essay is to investigate if there lies a difference between graffiti art that is placed in the public spaces and graffiti art that is sited in an institutional art setting; in this essay exemplified in a gallery space. My thesis is that graffiti art derives a great deal of its meaning and substance from its situation consequently making a change of cultural context also a change of connotation and understanding of the graffiti art itself. Meaning that graffiti art situated in a communal space is different from graffiti art situated in the gallery space. They share aesthetic expression but their connotations differ; i.e. one being illegal and the other permissible making their meanings dissimilar. I have used a comparison between site-specific art and graffiti art to further strengthen my thesis concerning the importance of understanding how a change of context critically changes the substance of graffiti art.

Full textSyftet med denna rapport är att belysa innehållet i nuvarande akutsjukvårdsväska i förhållande till de situationer som polisen ställs inför samt presentera ett förslag på en akutsjukvårdsväska som möter kraven på användbarhet för polispersonal i alla tillämpliga funktioner. De datainsamlingsverktyg som är tänkbara för att undersöka den problemformulering som vi kommit fram är observation på plats, intervjuer och litteraturstudie. För att ta reda på om polisens sjukvårdsväska är adekvat för uppgiften den ska lösa. Då det gäller den deduktiva biten (sekundärdata) har vi använt oss av litteraturstudier i form av böcker och kompendier. Vi har också dragit nytta av vår utbildning som vi fått på Polis- programmet i Umeå. På den induktiva sidan (primärdata) har vi använt oss av vår utförda fältstudie på Polismyndigheten Västmanland samt de intervjuer vi genomfört. Det vi har kommit fram till är att dagens akutsjukvårdsväska kan göras bättre, dels vad det avser innehållet och hur väskan är utformad. Vi har i slutet av vår rapport gett ett förslag på hur innehåll samt väska kan förbättras.

Full textThe purpose of instructions is to pass a strategy or method for work on to a previously unexperienced person. For an instruction to be successful it must be designed in a manner that allows easy use and correct interpretation. The increasing demand for customer customization and flexibility leads to an ever increasing need for manufacturing companies to create and utilize instructions in an effective way. On the behalf of PartnerTech in Åtvidaberg, a project was conducted as a master thesis during the spring semester of 2014, with the target of facilitating the creation and revision of instructions. How information should be presented to best support the user was also a main objective of the project. Beside this, a method for categorizing the company’s products was requested, to facilitate the allocation of personnel at the assembly lines. PartnerTech as a contract manufacturer is continuously challenged with new products at various development stages. As a consequence, instructions needs to be created regularly. The initiative for the project originates from the dissatisfaction related to the current method. The master thesis has been conducted by a student at the mechanical engineering program at Linköping University. The initial part of the project involved a study of the current method and the company’s needs, as well as research within the concerned areas. Later the software SolidWorks Composer was evaluated to see which possible benefits it could hold. A proposal for a new layout of the instructions was developed, based on the found literature during the research. Instructions was established using the layout and principles, which then was tested on real products. Parallel to this a method for categorizing the products was developed. The project resulted in an alternative layout for instructions and a proposal for a new presentation method. The tool proposed for creating and maintaining the instructions is Microsoft PowerPoint, which was used during the project and showed several benefits compared to the current software. The evaluation of SolidWorks Composer showed that there is potential for more effective creation of images for instructions, given that some criteria is fulfilled. The method for categorizing products resulted in a checklist, based essentially on yes/no-questions.

Full textE-health is on the rise in Sweden and this also mHealth, daily people encounter these transformations of digitization. Applications in the mobile phone that provide doctors and healthcare professionals for patients to have as easy access as possible. The purpose of the study was to map what type of functions and content a patient with high blood pressure wants in an application for blood pressure measurement in the home environment and to investigate what would motivate a patient to use such an application. There were semi-structured interviews and usability testing on the mockup that was developed, which showed that patients with high blood pressure want to use such an application if there is enough underlying help. Getting support regarding training, diet, education and coaching from doctors were the factors that would affect if a patient wanted to use an application for blood pressure measurement in the home environment.

Full textA readability algorithm evaluates a text and gives it a numerical value to reflect the it’s readability. This paper discusses the readability algorithm LIX and the concept of readability. It also proposes some alternative readability algorithms and evaluates whether these algorithms can assess readability better than LIX. The evaluation was conducted with texts from two distinct categories. Every text in the first category has a corresponding text in the second one with a similar content but written in a way deemed as less readable. The materialcategorized as more readable consists of texts awarded with ”Klarspråkskristallen”, an annual award to governmentbodies, such as Riksbanken, which has made outstanding efforts to enhance the readability of their publications.The texts classified as less readable consists of corresponding publications from these bodies, published before they were given this award.The results of our study showed that all the algorithms for the majority of the texts could determine which text was more readable. However, in a signed-rank test at a 5 % significance level we could not reject the theory that the algorithms were not able to determine which text was more readable. A unigram algorithm showed results closest to the desired statistical significance, since it was ableto determine which of the texts was most readable at a significance level of 8 %.
