Проведений аналіз свідчить про низькі показники інноваційної діяльності в Україні та зменшення інноваційної активності суб’єктів інноваційного процесу, так частка промислових підприємств, що впроваджували інновації в 2000 р. склала 14,8%, а в 2007р лише 11,5%, тобто відбулося зменшення на 3,3%. Це, в свою чергу, призвело до скорочення обсягу реалізованої інноваційної продукції, та склало 6,7% загального обсягу промислової продукції, тоді як в 2002 р. – 7%.
