Abstract Well interventions with coiled tubing (CT) have played a vital part in increasing well productivity. CT intervention challenges in 2.25" highly restricted extended reach wells demand technological solutions, excellent planning and in-place tailored procedures. Fluid placement and effectively maximizing reservoir contact are critically important elements during CT interventions for open-hole matrix acid stimulations. Fluid delivery was accomplished with multiple extended-reach techniques, including concentration of friction reducer and volumes, contributing to extending the reach. Tech

Abstract:
Materials simulation in virtual prototyping is one of the most challenging issues as not completely fulfilled by current devices. It allows Virtual Reality-based interfaces to provide multisensory interaction and to enhance product experience by mainly stimulating user emotional response. In this context the paper presents a new tactile simulation approach based on material surface properties elaboration and processing to stimulate roughness and texture coarseness perception. The developed approach leads to the development of a tactile display and a software tool to manage the configuration of

The aim of this paper is to contribute to the scarce empirical literature that evaluates the effects of public financial support to innovation on innovation expenditures, innovation, and productivity in developing countries. Propensity score matching techniques and innovation survey data are used to analyze the impacts of public financial support to innovation on Uruguayan firms. The results indicate that there is no crowding-out effect of private innovation investment by public funds, and that public financial support in Uruguay seems to increase private innovation expenditures. This paper exploits new data on the participation of Peruvian firms on public tenders to shed light on the potential for public procurement to encourage innovation. Many industrialized countries have gradually enlarged their innovation policy mix to include demand-side interventions, among them the use of public procurement to stimulate innovation investment at the firm level. Latin America, though, exhibits an unbalanced policy mix with little deployment of policy interventions that tackle the conditions that affect the demand for innovation.
