This thesis contributes to the literature on microeconomic linkage between globalization, economic growth and welfare. First, we study the impact of input trade liberalization on firm efficiency, aggregate productivity and welfare. We extend the Melitz (2003)'s framework to incorporate: a) trade in both intermediate inputs and final goods between similar countries, b) firm's decision to import intermediate inputs in addition to the decision to export the final output. Dále jsou vybrány hlavní parametry které vztahy s dodavateli ovlivňují a jsou použity jako vstupy pro fuzzy model. Fuzzy model poté na základě nastavených pravidel vyhodnotí vstupy a dává hodnotu na výstupu. Výstup je tedy hodnota, která vyjadřuje rating dodavatele a říká, který by měl být preferován.

This paper expands the analysis of the effects of the China shock by assessing its positive effects via access to cheaper inputs and contrasting them with the negative effects through increased import competition in the output markets. We use longitudinal matched employer-employee data linked with customs firm-level data on outputs and inputs transactions for the 1995-2007 period.
