ABSTRACTThis paper analyses the local, presidential and legislative elections that took place in Burundi between May and September 2010. Electoral results are presented, analysed and interpreted against the background of Burundi's constitutional consociational power-sharing regime. The power-sharing arrangement, which was negotiated during Burundi's recently completed peace process, saved the pluralistic nature of the elections but may itself fall victim to the outcome of these same elections, with the dominant party CNDD-FDD obtaining an overwhelming majority in parliament and controlling mos

Abstract Background: Financial stress is an adverse event of BC. Increased availability of oral targeted therapy (OTT) is hypothesized to add to this burden. We assess financial stress at the population level as a function of availability of OTT. Design: We used 2013-2022 NHIS adult BC population data. Financial stress markers were care disruption, food insecurity and percent home ownership. Care disruption was defined as at least 1 event of skipping or taking less medication or delayed filling or unable to afford prescriptions. Abstract: Prevalence of COVID-19 vaccination among women who use drugs is largely unknown. Using a community-based sample, we explored correlates of COVID-19 vaccination stratified by level of vaccine confidence, measured by the widely used Vaccine Hesitancy Scale. Level of vaccine confidence was found to be significantly associated with uptake of the COVID-19 vaccine as well as recent flu vaccination. Poisson regression with robust variance was used to identify correlates of vaccination within both groups. Among higher-confidence women, vaccine uptake was associated with education and experie
