Abstract:
Background: Several measures have been developed to examine acute psychedelic effects (e.g. mystical-type and challenging experiences), but no measure assesses acute psychologically insightful experiences that may occur during psychedelic experiences. Aim: The purpose of this study was to develop and examine the psychometric properties of the Psychological Insight Questionnaire. Method: A cross-sectional survey study among psilocybin and LSD users. Respondents ( n=1661; Mage=22.9, standard deviation=8.5; Caucasian/White=83%; non-Hispanic=91%; men=72%; United States resident=66%) completed an Internet-based survey. Results: The Psychological Insight Questionnaire consists of 23 items with two subscales: (a) Avoidance and Maladaptive Patterns Insights and (b) Goals and Adaptive Patterns Insights. Construct validity of the Psychological Insight Questionnaire was supported by strong correlations of the Psychological Insight Questionnaire (and Avoidance and Maladaptive Patterns Insights and Goals and Adaptive Patterns Insights subscales) scores with the insight subscale of the Session Impacts Scale, and weak-to-moderate correlations with the Mystical Experiences and Challenging Experiences Questionnaires. Furthermore, Psychological Insight Questionnaire (and Avoidance and Maladaptive Patterns Insights and Goals and Adaptive Patterns Insights subscales) scores were moderately-to-strongly correlated with retrospectively reported increases in psychological flexibility, and well-being/life satisfaction that were attributed to a memorable psychedelic experience. Lastly, incremental validity was established showing that the Psychological Insight Questionnaire (and Avoidance and Maladaptive Patterns Insights subscale) scores predict unique variance in changes in psychological flexibility, and Psychological Insight Questionnaire (and Avoidance and Maladaptive Patterns Insights and Goals and Adaptive Patterns Insights subscales) scores predict changes in well-being and life satisfaction, beyond measures of acute mystical-type and challenging effects. Conclusions: The Psychological Insight Questionnaire has the potential to extend the understanding of the acute and enduring effects of psychedelics. Further longitudinal research is necessary to determine the long-term predictive validity of the Psychological Insight Questionnaire and to examine the role of psychological insight in predicting therapeutic outcomes.

Abstract:
Scientific insight is a cognitive and behavioral task. Although as a concept or a measure that sounds very familiar, so far not even one tool was found to measure the cognitive behavioral scientific insight (CBSI). Due to the lack of a questionnaire in this field, the researchers aimed to design a cognitive behavioral scientific insight questionnaire (CBSIQ) and to determine its validity. Therefore, the researchers designed the CBSIQ with 105 questions on a five-point Likert scale, and then 205 university faculty members were asked to complete the tool. The faculty members were recruited using stratified sampling and within each stratum using simple random sampling methods. The data were analyzed using exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factorial analysis (CFA). Results show that CBSIQ ended with 33 questions constituting three factors: scientific thinking and applying scientific methods, scientific moral and commitment, and speaking in scientific terms. It is concluded that the CBSIQ is valid with relatively good fit indices. The implication of the CBSIQ is that it provides the key factors to diagnose individuals’ thinking obstacles; it can act as a framework to design instructional packages in order to teach people how to think insightfully and how to solve their problems scientifically or, in other words, how to acquire a scientific insight. Therefore, CBSIQ has the capability to function as a useful tool and as a remedy specifically to diagnose and resolve educational problems.

Abstract:
Goal-focused coaching is increasingly being used to help people set and reach personal and workplace goals. However, coaches' coaching skills are rarely measured. This exploratory study reports preliminary findings on the initial development and validation of a self-report measure, the Goal-focused Coaching Skills Questionnaire (GCSQ). Some participants also completed the Schutte Emotional Intelligence Scale (Schutte et al., 1998) and the Insight subscale of the Self-reflection and Insight Scale ([SRIS-IN], Grant, Franklin, & Langford, 2002). Convergent, face validity and test-retest reliability were found to be good, and scores on the GCSQ distinguished between professional and nonprofessional coaches. Scores on the GCSQ were also related to measures of emotional intelligence and personal insight. Behavioral observations following a coaching session indicated a significant correlation between coachees' ratings of the coaches' skills and the self-reported skill ratings of the coaches themselves. Limitations of the study are discussed and future research suggestions presented.

Abstract:
This study aims to determine the difference in affect of dimensions of sibling relationship (warmth, relative power, conflict and rivalry) on psychological well-being in senior high school students at West Jakarta. Suggestions used in this research are quantitative with correlational type. The samples were 356 high school students at West Jakarta (132 males and 224 females), age 15-17, has sibling. Determination of the sample multistage random sampling technique. Data collected by forms of an questionnaire which adapted, that is Sibling Relationship Questionnaire (SRQ) organized by Furman and Buhrmester (1990) amount 48 items, and Scale of Psychological Well-Being (SPWB) by Ryff (1989) amount 84 items. Validity test uses expert judgement and instrument testing with the Pearson’s Product Moment. Realibility test using the Cronbach Alpha with SPSS v.25 obtained the reliability coefficient SRQ is 0,916 and SPWB is 0.669. Data analyzed using Pearson’s Product Moment and the hypothesis was tested by One-Way ANOVA with SPSS v.25. The results showed that warmth dimension had a positive effect on psychological well-being of students (0,178 > 0,05), relative power dimension had a positive effect on psychological well-being of students (0,109 > 0,05), conflict dimension had a negative effect on psychological well-being of students (- 0,105 > 0,05), and rivalry dimension had a negative effect on psychological well-being of students (-0,114 > 0,05). Hypothesis test by ANOVA results that Fcount > Ftable or 4,786 > 2,39, means sibling relationship has a different effect on psychological well-being in senior high school students at West Jakarta. However, based on the results of Pearson Correlation compared to the correlational coefficient table, was found that the effect of each diomension of sibling relationship on psychological well-being of students was very low. Tukey HSD test also shows that only rivalry dimension has a different effect from the other three dimensions (warmth, relative power, conflict) on psychlogicall well-being in senior high school students at West Jakarta.

Abstract:
Affective insight was defined as a subjective event occurring during intensive self-reflection. To study affective insight, seventy-nine individuals were presented instructions designed to encourage intensive self-reflection. Subsequently, they completed an open-ended questionnaire and a seventy-two-item true-false questionnaire describing their experience during self-reflection. Q-type factor analysis of the seventy-two-item questionnaire revealed four different types of reactions during the instructions: underdistancing, overdistancing, intellectual self-control, and apprehensive insight. An eight-item Affective Insight Scale (AIS) was developed which was independent of social desirability, which differentiated these four groups of participants, and which correlated positively with a judge's ratings of affective insight as indicated in responses to the open-ended questionnaire. Using the AIS, there was support for the hypothesis that affective insight is associated with imagery involvement, as measured by the Creative Imagination Scale, the Absorption Scale, and Rorschach M responses. There was also some support for the hypothesis that affective insight is associated with a preference for novel imagery, as measured by the Barron-Welsch Art Scale. Other trait measures predicted reactions which were conceptually and empirically independent of affective insight (e.g., intellectual self-control), indicating the importance of simultaneously studying different reactions during intensive self-reflection.

Abstract:
Summary: Major changes have taken place over the last decade in the mental health care services in Belgium as well as in the rest of Europe. To track these developments, Shepherd and colleagues developed an instrument to assess the degree of perceived accomplishment of 11 key areas in such care. This instrument was translated and adapted as the Care Perception Questionnaire. In clinical settings the instrument can be a good tool for exploring the perspective of patients and professionals regarding the 11 key areas. However, for research purposes it is not practical to work with the 28 separate items or with the 11 key areas. The goal of this study is to reduce the 11 key areas to a smaller number of scales with good psychometric properties and with relevance to clinical practice. Using principal-component analysis by means of promax rotation and scale construction, we developed four statistically reliable and meaningful scales: (1) support in social relations and practical aid, (2) treatment and monitoring of the course of the illness, (3) information and insight, and (4) coordination and continuity of care. The relevance of the findings for clinical work and for research is discussed.

Abstract:
Presented study was aimed to highlight the different causes of aggressive behavior of students and its effects on their academic performance, according to the observations of secondary school students. To accomplish this goal, the conducted research was descriptive in nature. Data were collected from elementary school students’ teachers through a questionnaire. The population of the study was considered as all public elementary school male and female teachers in four Tehsils of District Multan region. Total eighty schools and from each school 3 teachers were randomly selected as a result total 240 teachers were selected. A questionnaire consisting of 49 items was designed for teachers. Furthermore, data were analyzed by adopting as per need descriptive and inferential statistics. It is concluded that aggressive behaviors in students do not significantly reduce a students’ academic performance, however, there is a sign that academic scores are declining as aggression increases. Aggressive behaviors in students do not directly lead to low academic performance. Although there is an insignificant link between aggressive behavior and academic performance, aggressive students face difficulties in their education. It is recommended that teachers need additional training on how to deal with children with aggressive behavior. In this regard, parents-teachers meeting on regular basis and on required desires of teachers is necessary.

Abstract:
Dispositional self-awareness is conceptualized in several different ways, including insight, reflection, rumination and mindfulness, with the latter in particular attracting extensive attention in recent research. While self-awareness is generally associated with positive psychological well-being, these different conceptualizations are also each associated with a range of unique outcomes. This two part, mixed methods study aimed to advance understanding of dispositional self-awareness by developing a questionnaire to measure its outcomes. In Study 1, expert focus groups categorized and extended an initial pool of potential items from previous research. In Study 2, these items were reduced to a 38 item self-report questionnaire with four factors representing three beneficial outcomes (reflective self-development, acceptance and proactivity) and one negative outcome (costs). Regression of these outcomes against self-awareness measures revealed that self-reflection and insight predicted beneficial outcomes, rumination predicted reduced benefits and increased costs, and mindfulness predicted both increased proactivity and costs. These studies help to refine the self-awareness concept by identifying the unique outcomes associated with the concepts of self-reflection, insight, reflection, rumination and mindfulness. It can be used in future studies to evaluate and develop awareness-raising techniques to maximize self-awareness benefits while minimizing related costs.

Abstract:
Impaired insight in patients with schizophrenia results in less satisfactory clinical outcomes. This study was conducted to investigate the relationship between insight and individual psychopathological dimensions in inpatients with schizophrenia using a self-report questionnaire. In this study, 90 patients with schizophrenia aged 18–75 years admitted in the acute psychiatric ward of a medical center in Taiwan were enrolled. Patient insight was measured using the Self-Appraisal of Illness Questionnaire (SAIQ), and psychopathological dimensions were measured using the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS) and its five-factor structure model. A higher SAIQ score indicates greater insight. In bivariate correlation analyses, statistically significant correlations were observed between age, single marital status, educational level, and positive, excited, and depressed symptom factor of the PANSS and SAIQ score. In regression analyses, age and excited and depressed symptom factors were significantly associated with SAIQ score. No significant association was observed between insight and neurocognitive functions. Considering demographic characteristics, psychopathology, and neurocognition, in the acute phase of schizophrenia, younger patients with less severe excited symptoms and more severe depressive symptoms had greater insight.

Abstract:
Background: Since Taiwan launched the Cancer Prevention Act in 2003, several prevention strategies and early detection programs have been implemented to reduce the incidence, morbidity and mortality rates of cancer. However, most of the programs have concentrated on healthcare providers. Evaluations from the patient’s perspective have been lacking. Thus, in this study a cancer patient experience questionnaire was developed in the Taiwanese context and a preliminary nationwide investigation was conducted on the status of cancer care from the patient’s perspective. Methods: An extensive literature review was first conducted to collect information on the existing instruments used to measure the cancer patient’s experience. Thereafter, a multidisciplinary expert panel was convened to select an optimal instrument based on the IOM’s six domains for evaluating patient-centered care. The European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) translation procedure was applied to the questionnaire for cross-cultural adaptation. A nationwide field test was then implemented at certificated cancer care hospitals. Results: Fifteen questionnaires were collected for the literature review. The expert panel selected the National Cancer Patient Experience Survey based on the IOM’s recommendations. After cross-cultural translation of the questionnaire, a total of 4000 questionnaires were administered in 19 certificated cancer care hospitals and two major cancer patient associations, with 1010 being returned (25.25% response rate). Most of the respondents were middle-aged, and 70% were female. The respondents reported they had a good experience with cancer care, except for “Home care and support” and “Finding out what was wrong with you”. Stratified analysis was conducted, with the results showing that the cancer patients’ experiences varied depending on their sociodemographic and cancer-related characteristics. Conclusions: A Taiwanese version of the cancer patient experience survey questionnaire was developed. Its results showed that the cancer patient’s experiences varied, depending on the patient’s age, cancer type, and cancer history. This study can be used as a basis to establish a patient-centered care model for cancer care in Taiwan.

Abstract:
Questionnaires are often considered a suitable instrument to gather data on language learners’ experiences. To test the usability of an online dictionary prototype, a series of questionnaires were distributed to a class of language learners before and after they completed a language task at the computer using the dictionary prototype. Measures of task effectiveness and efficiency were obtained and correlated with the questionnaires’ results. This study shows how the questionnaire results informed the overall measure of usability and, in particular, addressed user satisfaction, a more subjective yet a central component of this measure. Pre-questionnaires prepared learners for the task, whereas post-questionnaires fostered a reflection about the task process and its outcome. Hence, it is argued that combining observation and questionnaire techniques in that context was effective in providing a fuller insight into the learner-task-tool interaction at the computer. In this CALL research and development context, questionnaires served a double function as an evaluative and a pedagogical instrument.

Abstract:
Introduction: As their name suggests, ‘psychedelic’ (mind-revealing) compounds are thought to catalyse processes of psychological insight; however, few satisfactory scales exist to sample this. This study sought to develop a new scale to measure psychological insight after a psychedelic experience: the Psychological Insight Scale (PIS). Methods: The PIS is a six- to seven-item questionnaire that enquires about psychological insight after a psychedelic experience (PIS-6) and accompanied behavioural changes (PIS item 7). In total, 886 participants took part in a study in which the PIS and other questionnaires were completed in a prospective fashion in relation to a planned psychedelic experience. For validation purposes, data from 279 participants were analysed from a non-specific ‘global psychedelic survey’ study. Results: Principal components analysis of PIS scores revealed a principal component explaining 73.57% of the variance, which displayed high internal consistency at multiple timepoints throughout the study (average Cronbach’s α = 0.94). Criterion validity was confirmed using the global psychedelic survey study, and convergent validity was confirmed via the Therapeutic-Realizations Scale. Furthermore, PIS scores significantly mediated the relationship between emotional breakthrough and long-term well-being. Conclusion: The PIS is complementary to current subjective measures used in psychedelic studies, most of which are completed in relation to the acute experience. Insight – as measured by the PIS – was found to be a key mediator of long-term psychological outcomes following a psychedelic experience. Future research may investigate how insight varies throughout a psychedelic process, its underlying neurobiology and how it impacts behaviour and mental health.

Abstract:
Objective: It is well established that genetics plays an increasing role in healthcare. This has given rise to an ongoing discussion about the genetics competencies that healthcare personnel should possess. Nurses are key players in healthcare, and several studies have found that current genetics teaching in nursing education is insufficient. Other studies have shown that many nurses have a very limited knowledge of genetics. The objective of the present study was to gain insight into the genetics content in the Danish nursing education. Methods: We conducted a questionnaire study, involving one science lecturer from each of the 26 Danish nursing schools, asking informants about the status of genetics at their nursing school, e.g. curriculum, number of teaching lessons and exam. Results: With a response rate of 100%, we found a large variation between schools regarding the number of genetics lessons offered, ranging from two to eleven lessons. There was also a large variation with regard to curriculum. Most schools used one of two textbooks written in Danish, and classical genetics subjects such as DNA structure, protein synthesis, single gene diseases, pedigrees, and chromosome abnormalities were part of the literature curriculum in almost all schools, with variation in the level of detail. Genetics subjects of specific relevance to nursing and healthcare, such as pharmacogenetics and cancer genetics, were only part of the literature curriculum in some schools. Genetics was only a minor exam subject (if at all), and inclusion of ethical and social aspects of genetics in healthcare varied considerably. Conclusions: This study gives a unique insight into the situation regarding genetics in the Danish nursing education, and we argue that national recommendations regarding genetics teaching in nursing education are of importance in order to harness the full potential of genetics in healthcare.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT Background The Intervention Nurses Start Infant Growing on Healthy Trajectories (INSIGHT) study's responsive parenting (RP) intervention, initiated in early infancy, prevented the use of nonresponsive, controlling feeding practices and promoted use of structure-based feeding among first-time parents compared with controls. Objectives We sought to examine the spillover effect of the RP intervention on maternal feeding practices with their secondborn (SB) infants enrolled in an observational-only study, SIBSIGHT, and to test the moderating effect of spacing of births. Methods SB infants of mothers participating in the INSIGHT study were enrolled into the observation-only ancillary study, SIBSIGHT. SBs were healthy singleton infants ≥36 weeks of gestation. Infant feeding practices (i.e., food to soothe, structure vs. control-based practices) were assessed using validated questionnaires: Babies Need Soothing Questionnaire, Infant Feeding Styles Questionnaire, and the Structure and Control in Parent Feeding Questionnaire. Results SBs (n = 117 [RP: 57, control: 60]; 43% male) were delivered 2.5 ± 0.8 y after firstborns (FBs). At age 1 y, the Structure and Control in Parent Feeding Questionnaire revealed that the mothers in the RP group used more consistent feeding routines (4.19 [0.43] compared with 3.77 [0.62], P = 0.0006, Cohen's D: 0.69) compared with control group mothers. From the Infant Feeding Styles Questionnaire, RP group mothers also used less nonresponsive, controlling feeding practices such as pressuring their SB infant to finish (1.81 [0.52] compared with 2.24 [0.68], P = 0.001, Cohen's D: 0.68) compared with controls. In contrast to our hypotheses, no differences were detected in bottle-feeding practices such as putting to bed with a bottle/sippy cup or adding cereal to the bottle, despite observing study group differences in FBs. Spacing of births did not moderate intervention effects. Conclusions RP guidance given to mothers of FBs may prevent the use of some nonresponsive, controlling feeding practices while establishing consistent feeding routines in subsequent siblings.

Abstract:
Despite high popularity and demand for cosmetic products among users of cosmetics, there is paucity of work on cosmetovigilance. The objective of this study was to explore the cosmetovigilance-related insight encompassing the knowledge, practices, attitude, and perception of Malaysian users of cosmetics. A cross-sectional study was conducted using a structured questionnaire comprising of 47 items reflecting on demographic profile, knowledge, practices, attitude, and perception toward cosmetics. The questionnaire was administered using the SurveyMonkey website, subject to a convenience sample of 552 users of cosmetics in Malaysia. The data collected were analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 20. Insufficient knowledge of cosmetic safety was found, especially in terms of the ingredients used and the adverse effects related to common cosmetic products. The total knowledge score showed a significant difference between gender (p < 0.001) and monthly expenditure (p = 0.001). The total attitude score showed a significant difference with respect to gender (p = 0.008), age (p < 0.001), marital status (p < 0.001), education (p = 0.014), occupation (p < 0.001), income range (p = 0.009) and monthly expenditure (p = 0.013). The levels of cosmetovigilance-related knowledge, practices, attitude and perception of users of cosmetics in Malaysia are still unsatisfactory. The current research is expected to offer baseline data which can further help in strengthening the knowledge and attitudes of cosmetic consumers, while reinforcing best practices towards cosmetic products.

Abstract:
OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this article was to examine childbirth (labor) pain language through an analysis of the McGill Pain Questionnaire (MPQ) descriptors.METHOD: Language was extracted from 6 studies which used MPQ descriptors (and originally formed part of a larger interpretive review of pain assessment). MPQ descriptors are considered rich language data because they provide insight into the different qualities and dimensions of pain. An applied linguistic approach, which examines language in its real world context (in this instance, childbirth and midwifery) was used to analyze maternal language.FINDINGS: The MPQ descriptors conveyed sensory, affective, evaluative, and miscellaneous dimensions of the labor pain experience. Words were classified according to the semantic category of the descriptors (the associated meanings of pain words), parity, stage of labor, and the location of pain. Generalizations cannot be made from this small sample of maternal language; however, this analysis provides an introduction to maternal MPQ descriptors and gives insight into a possible association between maternal MPQ descriptors and words which may be used to represent other female pain events.CONCLUSION: The descriptors analyzed in this article revealed a rather homogeneous language; yet, they provided insight into the qualities and intensity of labor pain across women of different parity. Pain can be quantified in a numeric-verbal language, but the use of a pain measurement tool alone may lead to assumptions or underestimations of the individual nature of a woman’s labor, which may impact on her pain management. An acknowledgment of a woman’s labor as intimate and emotive is also needed, which is captured in the spontaneous language of her own account of labor.

Abstract:
The aim of this paper is to analyse students’ perceptions of teaching from three different perspectives: students’ interest, teacher and course assessment. We use ordinal logistic model to quantify the effects of grade, pass rate and class size on results of evaluation of undergraduate and graduate courses held during the summer and winter semesters in the academic year 2016/2017. The data were collected using a standardised online questionnaire. Research results indicate that on the observed economic HEI, both teacher and course assessment is positively and significantly affected by student’s achieved grade, and by class size. Moreover, we find large and significant difference between students’ interest in study programmes delivered in Croatian and those delivered in English. Students enrolled in English study programme value pass rate over grade, as opposed to students enrolled in Croatian study programme. We attribute this to the different motivation of students, that is, students enrolled in English programme are more prone to participation in student mobility programmes.

Abstract:
AbstraactObjective: A four-week longitudinal study was conducted to assess the relationship between insight, psychopathology and treatment compliance in schizophrenia.Method: The study was conducted using Insight and Treatment Attitude Questionnaire (ITAQ), Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS) and Medication Adherence Rating Scale (MARS). The sample comprised 50 patients with schizophrenia diagnosed according to research criteria of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10), with a mean duration of illness of 5.32 years. Results: Substantial psychopathology was observed at intake and it improved significantly at the end of four weeks. Similar changes were observed in the score of insight and of compliance over four weeks. The insight and the compliance were positively correlated to each other at the beginning and at the end of four weeks. Both of these were negatively correlated with psychopathology scores on both occasions. Conclusion: Insight and psychopathology remain important determinants of treatment compliance in schizophrenia over short term and long term follow up.

Abstract:
Background. We report here a study examining the relationships between insight and psychopathology, cognitive performance, brain volume and co-morbid depression in 251 patients experiencing a first episode of psychosis, who were then randomly assigned to 2 years of double-blind treatment with either olanzapine or haloperidol.Method. Repeated measures of insight were obtained at baseline and 12, 24, 52 and 104 weeks by the Insight and Treatment Attitudes Questionnaire (ITAQ).Results. Older age, female gender and white ethnicity were associated with more insight. Higher total, positive, negative and general psychopathology scores on the Positive and Negative Syndromes Scale (PANSS) were associated with less insight. Higher depression scores were associated with more insight. Better neurocognitive function and large brain volumes were associated with more insight. More insight throughout the study was associated with longer time to medication non-adherence. However, baseline insight was not significantly related to the probability of discontinuing the study before 2 years. Insight improved significantly over the course of the study, but the improvement in insight was not significantly different between the two antipsychotic treatment groups.Conclusions. Multiple factors contribute to insight. Patients experiencing a first episode of psychosis who have little insight are at increased risk of discontinuing their medication.

Abstract:
We investigated the relationships among the self-reflection and self-insight components of self-awareness, and resilience and stress in competitive South African tennis players. A sample of 175 male and 158 female athletes (Mage = 29.09 years, SD = 14.00) completed the Self-Reflection and Insight Scale, the Resilience Scale for Adults, and the stress items from the Recovery-Stress Questionnaire for Athletes. The results indicated that both self-reflection and self-insight were positively correlated with resilience, and that self-insight, but not selfreflection, was negatively correlated with stress. Multivariate regression analysis revealed that self-insight was the single significant predictor of both resilience and stress. Our findings provide support for the importance of self-awareness, particularly self-insight, in mitigating stress and promoting resilience among tennis athletes. The implications of engaging in selfreflective practices and attaining self-insight in terms of improved athletic performance outcomes are discussed.

Abstract:
AbstractImpaired insight for deficits (anosognosia) is common in Alzheimer’s disease (AD). However, it has not yet been determined clearly (a) whether different methods for assessing insight are comparable, and (b) whether anosognosia affects different domains to different degrees (domain-specificity). Impaired insight was investigated in 32 patients with AD, who were each accompanied by a caregiver. Anosognosia was assessed by a global clinical rating, questionnaire discrepancies (patient vs. caregiver) covering different domains, and performance discrepancies (self-assessment vs. performance) based on four neuropsychological tests which were compared with those of a healthy control sample. The results of clinical rating and questionnaire discrepancies were closely correlated, but performance discrepancies showed no association with the other methods. Anosognosia was present in the majority of the sample, and occurred across domains. The domains corresponding to core deficits in AD (recent memory, activities of daily living) appeared especially prone to anosognosia. However, results do not suggest that anosognosia itself is domain-specific. Rather, it appears that insight may be invariant, while differences in patient-caregiver discrepancies arise largely from different degrees of deficit across domains. (JINS, 2010, 16, 463–473.)

Abstract:
AbstractAlbert Hermann Post (1839–95) is an almost forgotten figure in the history of legal anthropology, yet he was the first anthropologist to propose the study of the legal relations of indigenous peoples. His questionnaire is presented here in English for the first time. It was distributed in the 1890s and the answers, from Cameroon, Mali, Western Sudan, Uganda, German East Africa, German South West Africa, Madagascar, and the Solomon and Marshall Islands, were published by Steinmetz in 1903, after Post's death. The questionnaire gives an insight into the state of German anthropology at the time and, however naïve the method, the answers provide in many cases the only written evidence for the period on the societies studied. This article also considers Hildebrandt's reassessment of Post and gives an account of the circumstances leading up to the distribution of Josef Kohler's later questionnaire.

Abstract:
Student community engagement is a form of experiential education where students engage in activities that address community needs. This form of learning emphasizes collaboration between students, faculty, and thecommunity partner. By using Student Community Engagement Benefits Questionnaire, data was collected from 151 students in four Australian universities. This study has identified the various community engagement activities they participated either in Australia or overseas; whether voluntary or compulsory. Analysis of variance and paired sample t-test showed that there was a statistically significant gain in Career, Diversity, Interpersonal and Civic skills among the respondents after the community engagement activities. By incorporating three demographic and contextual characteristics, analysis of covariance showed that the changes after community engagement in these four skills were not significant between the two types of projects (compulsory and voluntary projects). When data was analysed by age group of respondents, there was a significant difference after community engagement only in Civic skills. Analysis by community engagement durations also showed that there was a significant difference in Career skills, Interpersonal Skills and Civic skills. This paper sheds light on what students learn from community engagement in the context of Australian higher education.

Abstract:
This research aimed at revealing teachers’ challenges in teaching reading and their strategies used to overcome those challenges. To fulfil those aims, the researcher used descriptive qualitive as this research method, and collect the data by spreading questionnaire and conduct semi-structured interview. Ten English teachers were involved as research sample. They were not only given questionnaire deal with the challenges in teaching reading, but also interviewed regarding to the strategies their used to overcome those challenges. From the data gathered, it revealed that the challenges mostly originated from students’ lack of vocabulary mastery and their motivation to actively involved in classroom participation. Regarding to those problems, the teacher then used some strategies including brainstorming and pair works. In fact, however, those strategies could help the teacher in engaging the students in teaching reading.
