Full textBackground: A common strategy for minimizing market risk, when trading with financial instruments, is to build portfolios. In order to manage portfolios with different kinds of financial instruments and different currencies and to manage many portfolios at one time, systems for portfolio management are used. Student can with use of such systems learn how financial markets work. The requirements of a system for students are not the same as the ones of a system for commercial use are not the same and therefore there is a need to develop a model fitted to this context. Aim: The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to build a model in PowerPlus Pro, which students can use in order to confirm their knowledge of and understanding for the function of financial instruments. Method: To build the model a quantitative method has been used and to study how systems for portfolio management should be built and adapted to the needs of students has qualitative method been used. Conclusions: Our model satisfies the demand and the technical specifications that were us given and it is adapted to teaching of students, because it is user-friendly and pedagogic built. The model is not adequate for use of market actors.

Full textThe project was initiated by dental personnel at the Specialist dentistry in Halmstad, Sweden, because they experienced problems when working with oral prosthetics. There is a risk that components are dropped and due to gravity and the patient's position, being inhaled or swallowed. This means stress and concerns, contributing to the deterioration of the psychosocial work environment for dental personnel. The Swedish dental State support was introduced in 2008, which gives the patient a reduced cost for dental prosthetic procedures. This allows more people to afford oral prosthetics. Therefore, the problem becomes more and more prevalent and the demand for a solution is requiered. The project has implemented dynamic product development with a major focus on the involvement of future users. The project was based on literature reviews, observation and survey, which was performed in the product definition phase. Different concept generation methods and evaluation methods were applied and resulted in a final prototype. A continuous dialogue and testing with the clients where performed throughout the project. This product development project resulted in an instrument that facilitates for dental personnel and increase safety for the patient during oral prosthetics. The solution is a specially designed forceps which slips onto the screwdriver and secures components.

Full textAdequate resources in terms of optimal patient distribution by a nurse who captures both health care and non- patient nursing care is a problem for nurses worldwide. Measurement workload can be a part of the visibility nursing efforts to ensure patient safety. A well content validated workload instrument in postoperative care was missing. Properly used, workload instrument can lead to positive effects for patients and staff. Care efforts are measurable and increase staff awareness in nursing work. The study's purpose was to content validity and develop a workload instrument used in post-operative care at Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm (VPV). Content validation was performed by using the Delphi method where specialist nurses in postoperative care from nine hospitals (n = 16) were part of a group of experts through questionnaires gave their views on the workload instrument. The answers were processed by the students together with supervisors to the consensus achieved and a validated burden of workload instrument VPV 2015 designed. It is important for postoperative patients to receive appropriate levels of nursing care, and that this can be performed adequately. The study is therefore potentially of great clinical importance, and the results can be translatable into daily postoperative nursing work.

Full textThe study aims to highlight some professional bass players approach to self-development and its connection with the exercise. The method that has been used is semi-structured interviews. The informants consist of three professional bass players who tell us about their views on practicing and development and what they consider to be important to develop as a bass player. The theoretical basis for this study is a hermeneutic perspective when the goal is to do a deeper analysis and interpretation of the interviewed life-world. The result shows that the interviewees think that the important building blocks in the development are to play with others and listen to music. They also describe their view of exercise, voice production and sound as well as their experiences of playing music. It is hoped that the study will contribute to more instrument-specific research on exercise and inspire practitioners to discuss and share their varied experiences of exercise.

Full textThe purpose of this study was to investigate how Learning Study can act as a model for developing collegial learning and contribute to experience-sharing between teachers in the Community School of Arts and Music. In order to investigate this, four guitar teachers at a Community School of Music has participated in a joint learning study, with the author as a researcher/facilitator. To evaluate the process and taking part of the participating teachers’ experience of learning study a method combining observation and interview was used. The result shows that by using the learning study method a kind of collegial conversations and experience-sharing was created, which the participating teachers had not experienced before. It also inspired the teachers to try new ideas in their own teaching.

Full textThis project is about developing my songwriting and the importance of getting both input and output from my fellow musicians and thereby inspired to compose and arrange. I write songs in the genre of pop / singer-songwriter but as I myself am a violinist, I have chosen to play with only stringed instruments and vocals. The band consists of me singing and playing the violin, a cello and a violin player who also sings. In this project, you can read about the process by composing, arranging and repeating the four songs I've written. The goal is to write songs, arrange them, repeat them, record them in the studio, mix songs and have a public play. There is also a personal goal to evolve musically and personally, and self courage of the music I write. Now there are songs uploaded on the Internet (http://soundcloud.com/ violinne) and I am very happy with the results.

Karlsson, Kristina. "Trombonen och jag : En självobservationsstudie av tidig instrumental utveckling utifrån ett sociokulturellt perspektiv." Thesis, Karlstads universitet, Institutionen för konstnärliga studier (from 2013), 2018. http://urn.kb.se/resolve?urn=urn:nbn:se:kau:diva-67058.
Full textThe aim of the present study is to, through self-observation, obtain a deeper understanding of early progress on a brass instrument and to study the acquisition of instrument specific techniques. The study processes a learning process in trombone at the beginner level during instrumental lessons and individual exercise, both of which have taken place at a Swedish academy of music. The method used in present study is self-observation through video documentation. Processing and analysis of the video content is based on a sociocultural perspective, in which learning is comprehended by social interaction and the use of mediating tools. The presented result is based on transcription notes from observation of the video content with focus on how tools have been used during the prelude, the middle and the final stage of the process. The result shows a remarkable relation between the appearance of difficulties and the acquisition of new abilities. The result of the study is eventually discussed in relation to the sociocultural perspective on learning.
