Unilateral tubal ectopic pregnancies (UTEP) are commonly encountered by physicians. Bilateral tubal ectopic pregnancies (BTEPs), however, are rare and due to the identical clinical presentations of BTEP and UTEP, there is a significant degree of diagnostic difficulty for the former, requiring a high index of suspicion. It should be considered a possibility in any newly pregnant woman of child-bearing age. The purpose of this article is to provide the reader with an example of a clinical presentation of BTEP, and a discourse on management of these patients. We present a case of a 27-year-old pa

Subsequent development and implantation of embryo outside the uterine lining are defined as an ectopic pregnancy. Ectopic pregnancies have a wide range of presentations, for example, acute hemoperitoneum to chronic ectopic pregnancy. The case presented is an unusual case of ectopic pregnancy with large hematosalpinx with classic symptoms. To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this case is the largest intact tubal ectopic pregnancy reported ever in the 14th week of gestation. Fortunately, a low threshold for diagnosis, urine and serum beta-human chorionic gonadotrophin (β-hCG) assays and transvaginal sonography allow earlier diagnosis.
