In this work, we study the problem of profile and lattice profile in aerodynamics. The first kind of Fredholm singular integral equation solves this problem. The Cauchy-type singular integrals are solutions to the first kind of Fredholm singular integral equation. However, the antiderivative function of these singular integrals can only be found in some cases. To overcome this, we utilize the Sobolev method to create an optimal quadrature formula for Cauchy-type singular integrals. By doing so, we can approximately solve the Fredholm integral equation of type I with higher accuracy. We compare

When both the x's and the y's are in arithmetic progression, then this situation is completely solved. One set of solutions where the y's formed an arithmetic progression of length 4 have already been constructed. In this dissertation, we construct infinitely many set of solutions where there are 4 x's in arithmetic progression and we also disprove Mohanty's Conjecture[8] by constructing infinitely many set of solutions where there are 4, 5 and 6 y's in arithmetic progression

The Ito-Stratonovich theory of stochastic integration and stochastic differential equations has several shortcomings, especially when it comes to existence and consistency with the theory of Lebesque-Stieltjes integration and ordinary differential equations. Secondly, to construct a new concept of solutions for differential equations, which would have the required consistency and continuity properties, within a class of deterministic noise func

The path integral formulation of quantum mechanics generalizes the action principle of classical mechanics. The Feynman path integral is, roughly speaking, a sum over all possible paths that a particle can take between fixed endpoints, where each path contributes to the sum by a phase factor involving the action for the path. The resulting sum gives the probability amplitude of propagation between the two endpoints, a quantity called the propagator. Solutions of the Feynman path integral formula exist, however, only for a small number of simple systems, and modifications need to be made when d

Abstract In this chapter, we investigate a special technique which provides solutions to a wide class of differential equations. Again, we concentrate on the homogeneous linear second-order equation where p 0, p 1, p 2 are continuous functions which we shall suppose throughout this chapter to have no common zeros. We do not, for the moment, specify the domain of these functions, though it will in general be taken to be an interval, finite or infinite. Hitherto, we have often specified that the function p 2 is never zero. A point x 0 in the domain of p 2 for which p 2(x 0) ≠ 0 is called an ordi

In place of such formulae, there are integral equations satisfied by solutions of Heun’s equation, and integral relationships expressing one solution in terms of another.
