Abstract:
Purpose The purpose of this study is international business strategy (IBS) has evolved into a complex and vast domain of study. Given this fact, the author first proposed a set of screens that a firm’s IBS manager was required to assess before venturing into a foreign country. Then the author developed an integrated IBS framework to secure a holistic view regarding IBS. Finally, the author proposed a typology to classify IBS archetypes. Design/methodology/approach The author undertook a systematic and integrated literature review of IBS literature. The literature review was carried out with a conceptual perspective in mind. Incremental and argumentative logic was applied to develop the integrated IBS framework from a wide domain of literature. Furthermore, the typology on IBS initiatives was also developed based upon a classification scheme developed in the framework. Findings The author developed the integrated conceptual framework based upon six building blocks which were conceptual elements. The framework consisted of the antecedent variable as internationally deployable organizational resources and capabilities (IDORC), the mediating variables as internationally implementable organizational process (IIOP), internationally executable practices and activities (IEPA) and international market product service offerings (IMPSO). The moderating variable was international initiatives management direction and control (IIMDC), while the dependent variable was international market performance assessment (IMPA). Thus, IDORC, IIOP, IEPA, IMPSA, IIMDC and IMPA were the building blocks of IBS framework. There were 12 types of IBS typologies based upon the dominant role played by the home and host countries in the six building block elements of IBS mentioned. The 12 typologies were domestic reproduction (DR), foreign country centric offerings (FCCO), international offerings perspective (IOP), foreign country-driven activities (FCDA), international-driven activities (IDA), foreign country-driven process (FCDP), international-driven process (IDP), foreign country initiatives domestically controlled (FCIDC), international initiatives domestically controlled (IIDC), international initiatives home-dominant foreign dyad controlled (IIHDFDC), international independent initiative (III) and international coordinated network approach (ICNA). Research limitations/implications In this study, an integrated framework on IBS was developed. In the theoretical framework, antecedent (DORC), mediating (IIOP, IEPA and IMPSA), moderating (IIMDC) and dependent variables (IMPA) have been incorporated. This was the first theoretical contribution of this paper toward IBS theorization. Second contribution of this paper was toward typology development regarding IBS initiatives archetypes. The 12 typologies were DR, FCCO, IOP, FCDA, IDA, FCDP, IDP, FCIDC, IIDC, IHDFDC, III and ICNA. The IBS typology is based upon the six constituent concepts developed from literature. Practical implications Managers who are responsible for the planning and execution of IBS initiatives could from the integrated IBS framework comprehend what would be the steps required to plan and execute an IBS strategy in its entirety for success in foreign markets. Furthermore, managers could understand the various mediation and moderation roles regarding the IBS factors present in any firm internationalization effort. This would help managers not only to amplify the mediating effects but also to tweak the efforts of moderation so as to arrive at better internationalization performance. The section on typology on IBS initiatives would help managers to secure a better fit for the IBS initiative of the firm. The typology would anchor managerial perspectives regarding how the home country firm organizational contributions on resources and capabilities, processes, practice activities and products and services need to be offered in foreign countries. Originality/value To the best of author’s knowledge, this is one of the first frameworks regarding an integrated perspective on IBS and a typology on IBS based upon a set of antecedent (resources and capabilities), mediation (process, activities and market offerings), moderation (management control) and dependent (performance) variables building on firm resource-based view perspectives.

Abstract:
The potential to conserve energy in an apartment building in Toronto, Ontario, Canada through the implementation of an advanced envelope system was explored in this study. This paper illustrates the possibility in reducing energy demand through an integrated design process (IDP), where research outcomes were incorporated into the architectural design. Using the floor plan and schematics provided by the designer, a building energy model was established in an advanced simulation program to evaluate the performances of nine low-energy envelope design strategies in reducing the heating and cooling energy consumption. Through this study, it can be concluded that performing detailed energy simulations early in the design process to identify which low-energy envelope strategies can be omitted or substituted in the final envelope design is crucial in identifying the most effective strategies for improving energy performance. This study also demonstrates the potential of collaboration between academia and industry in generating high performance buildings.

Abstract:
Unlike the situation in the past, when local government’s role was limited to service delivery, local government is now constitutionally mandated to play an expanded developmental role. As a “co-responsible” sphere of government, local government is obliged to contribute towards realising the transformative constitutional mandate aimed at social justice. South African scholars and jurists share the view that social justice is primarily concerned with the eradication of poverty and extreme inequalities in access to basic services, and aims to ensure that poor people command sufficient material resources to facilitate their equal participation in socio-political life. In order to enable municipalities to fulfil their broad constitutional mandate, the system of integrated development planning (IDPs) came into effect in South Africa in 2000. Each municipality is obliged to design, adopt and implement an integrated development plan in order to achieve its expanded constitutional mandate. The IDP is considered to be the chief legally prescribed governance instrument for South African municipalities. The purpose of this article is to explore and critically investigate the relevance and potential of IDPs in contributing towards the achievement of social justice in South Africa. This article argues inter alia that the multitude of sectors that converge in an IDP makes it directly relevant and gives it enormous potential to contribute towards social justice because, depending on the context, municipalities could include and implement strategies that specifically respond to diverse areas of human need. In this regard, the legal and policy frameworks for IDPs provide a structured scheme that could be used by municipalities to prioritise and meet the basic needs of especially the poor. Despite its potential, it is argued that the ability of IDPs to respond to the basic needs of the poor is largely constrained by a series of implementation challenges partly attributed to the underlying legal and policy framework.

Abstract:
An integrated care pathway (ICP) is an outline of planned care for a specific patient group. It highlights usual practice that is evidence-based, from which variations occur as health-care professionals use their professional judgement. The objectives of the study were to identify the key elements within an ICP, to formulate a checklist utilizing the ICP key elements, and to evaluate ICPs available from the UK National electronic Library for Health (NeLH) against the checklist. An ICP key elements checklist was produced from a review of ICP literature. In all, 90% of the ICPs evaluated contained a plan of anticipated care along some form of timeline, including processes and outcomes. Also, 70% of the ICPs evaluated did not contain a variance-recording framework. In addition, 70% of the ICPs evaluated did not contain any evidence of evidence-based best practice. This study shows that there is wide variability in the quality of the ICPs being developed in the UK National Health Service (NHS), and that the development of ICPs in many health-care organizations is inadequate. Variability of the ICPs being developed will have a direct impact on the quality of patient care, and improvements in care and service delivery may not be identified, implemented or reviewed. It is recommended that a tool be produced, which would provide a standard framework for NHS staff to follow when developing ICPs.

Abstract:
Introduction: The Integrated Care Pathway (ICP) represents a multidisciplinary outline of anticipated care, placed in an appropriate timeframe, to support patients with specific conditions or symptoms. The aim of this paper is to define the ICP for patients with melanoma referring to the “Istituto Dermopatico dell’Immacolata-IRCCS di Roma e Villa Paola” (“Center”). Methods and results: A multidisciplinary group (oncologists, dermatologists, surgeons, pathologists etc.) was defined as well as a facilitator to act as a link between all experts. The first step of ICP development was a review of current practice for patients with melanoma referring to the Center. This first step had the scope to define the multidisciplinary process map (a “picture” of the care plan) for patients with melanoma. The process map defined: i) the activities performed during delivery of care to the patients, ii) the responsibilities for these activities and iii) potential problem areas or opportunities for improvements. The process map formed the basis of the final ICP document. Conclusion: The adoption of melanoma ICP will allow the multidisciplinary group to ensure that clinical guidelines and available evidence are incorporated into everyday practice. Abstract:
Abstract State employment agency policies and practices vary widely in their level of commitment to improving access to integrated employment for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). State IDD agencies are charged to seek creative approaches to policy formation, organizational change, and service provision that directly influence the development of employment opportunities. The goal of this study was to understand the promising practices and strategies being used by state intellectual and developmental disabilities agencies in order to understand what factors make these strategies successful, the lessons learned from implementation, and how the themes derived from this analysis can help to further articulate integrated employment as the preferred outcome for individuals with IDD. Semistructured, one-on-one telephone interviews with key state IDD agency personnel revealed six themes that were common across 30 state agency practices. These were (a) identifying barriers, (b) forming a coalition, (c) developing a mission and strategic plan, (d) aligning the infrastructure with vision and policies, (e) building stakeholder capacity, and (f) measuring progress and monitoring implementation. Recommendations are offered to state agency administrators to broaden perceptions about methods for expanding integrated employment options and outcomes at the systems level.

Abstract:
Local government community participation units or departments ineffectively and inefficiently operate based on the directive from their political organisations instead of achieving the objectives of the municipality as per the Integrated Development Plan (IDP). This has resulted in the marginalisation of the local communities on their participation in municipal governance which also has been exacerbated by the employment of employees based on political competencies rather than the unit’s core business requirements. On the backdrop of the above, this study aims to reveal municipal operational hindrances that prevent local communities to participate effectively in the eThekwini Municipality governance as permitted by South African local government legislation. This stated background has necessitated the study to adopt a qualitative approach whereby non-standardized interviews were conducted by the researcher to the sample size of 23. The findings of the study were analysed using NVivo software (version 10). The study revealed an extreme percentage (39%) of activities performed by Community Participation and Action Support Unit (CP&AS) which were based on coordinating unclear activities. Whereas, 22% were on capacity development of local communities, 12% on communication with internal and external stakeholders, 8% on monitoring and evaluation, 5% on policies, and 3% on partnership with other departments and spheres of government and elected officials and research respectively. The unbalanced and unclear activities performed by the respondents will assist the municipal decision-makers to understand the core causes of poor service delivery as it lies on the failure of the municipal officials to concentrate on their core business. This study contributes to the decision-makers’ understanding of the implications of using the municipal resources to advance political activities, consequently disadvantaging the alleged indigent local communities. The clearly demarcated roles and responsibilities of municipal employees guided by the core business of the units with clear performance standards and expected output set could eliminate the politics-administration dichotomy.

Abstract:
Purpose This paper aims to develop a framework for incorporating implementation indicators of corporate governance for municipalities in South Africa. In South Africa, there is a corporate governance framework (King III report) that is regarded as a seminal work applicable to both the public and private sectors. Despite its existence, municipalities still struggle to provide services to the citizens due to poor implementation. The poor corporate governance implementation in municipalities led to several issues such as loss of credibility for local government, little interests from investors to invest in municipalities, service delivery protests from communities, maladministration and unexpected change of leadership in municipalities without succession planning in South Africa. Design/methodology/approach The study conducted literature review to demonstrate the need for a framework to implement corporate governance in South Africa. Findings It is evident from the study that the municipal sector could improve its performance and practices of corporate governance, if the underpinning framework is adopted and implemented as a sector framework. The integration of governance elements during the development of the municipal sector integrated development plan (IDP) will facilitate a coherent base for good governance implementation practices. Research limitations/implications This research would go a long way in bringing out the anomalies that paralyse municipalities, the root causes of inefficiency and possible ways to rectify them. Practical implications This study offers a framework that can help the local government sector to improve on service delivery. Implementation of the framework can also assist municipalities in obtaining clean audits from the supreme audit institutions in their respective countries. Social implications The study has a huge social impact as it would help municipal officials take notice of the issues raised and act accordingly thus improving the life of citizenry. Originality/value This study adds value to the existing theoretical and conceptual issues that form the ongoing discourse on the implementation of corporate governance in local government, especially in South Africa, as the country is characteristic by corruption and maladministration.

Abstract:
The individual development plan (IDP) is a career planning tool that aims to assist PhD trainees in self-assessing skills, exploring career paths, developing short- and long-term career goals, and creating action plans to achieve those goals. The National Institutes of Health and many academic institutions have created policies that mandate completion of the IDP by both graduate students and postdoctoral researchers. Despite these policies, little information exists regarding how widely the tool is used and whether it is useful to the career development of PhD trainees. Herein, we present data from a multi-institutional, online survey on the use and effectiveness of the IDP among a group of 183 postdoctoral researchers. The overall IDP completion rate was 54% and 38% of IDP users reported that the tool was helpful to their career development. Positive relationships with one’s advisor, confidence regarding completing training, trainees’ confidence about their post-training career, and a positive experience with institutional career development resources are associated with respondents’ perception that the IDP is useful for their career development. We suggest that there is a need to further understand the nuanced use and effectiveness of the IDP in order to determine how to execute the use of the tool to maximize trainees’ career development.

Background: The Individual Development Plan (IDP) was introduced as a tool to aid in career planning for doctoral trainees. Despite the National Institutes of Health and academic institutions creating policies that mandate the use of IDPs, little information exists regarding the use and effectiveness of the career planning tool. Methods: We conducted a multi-institutional, online survey to measure IDP use and effectiveness. The survey was distributed to potential respondents via social media and direct email. IDP survey questions were formatted using a five-point Likert scale (strongly agree, agree, neutral, disagree and strongly disagree). For data analysis purposes, responses were grouped into two categories (agree versus does not agree/disagree). The data were summarized as one-way frequencies and the Pearson chi-square test was used to determine the statistical significance of univariate associations between the survey variables and an outcome measure of the effectiveness of the IDP. Results: Among all respondents, fifty-three percent reported that they are required to complete an IDP while thirty-three percent reported that the tool is helpful to their career development. Further, our data suggests that the IDP is most effective when doctoral students complete the tool with faculty mentors with whom they have a positive relationship. Respondents who are confident about their career plans and who take advantage of career development resources at their institution are also more likely to perceive that the IDP is useful for their career development. Conclusion: Given the nuanced use and effectiveness of the IDP, we call for additional research to characterize the overall use and effectiveness of the IDP and to determine whether there are unintended negative consequences created through the use of the tool. Furthermore, we recommend an enhancement of career development infrastructure that would include mentorship training for faculty in order to provide substantially more career planning support to trainees.

Creative thinking required to be facilitated to students in order they are ready to face the challenge in the future which will be more complicated. The student need to motivated to think divergently, including aspects of originality (authentic, uniqueness idea), fluency (continuity of expressing idea), flexibility (capability to expressing different idea), and elaboration (giving explanation toward created idea). This research aimed to develop integrated science learning materials with scientific approach which feseable to facilitate creative thinking skill of grad VII junior high school. This research is development research, that is developing integrated science learning materials with subject Global Warming including (Syllabus, Lesson Plan, Student Work Sheet, Student Text Book, and creative thinking capability test), by using 4D development model. Target of this research is learning instrument which tested on 35 graders VII junior high school with plan One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Data analysis using descriptive qualitative resulting: (a) validation of learning instrument with category valid and very valid; (b) learning realization with good category; (c) positive student response; (d) student creative thinking capability is trained (posttest score 71 which meant creative with N-Gain 0.78). The indicators of creative thinking skill wich get the most significant increase are fluency and flexibility. Elaboration and originality are indicators which have a low increasing score between the pre test and post test. It’s because the student mostly are not able to connect their own concept to make the idea clearer and they only focus on the ideas in the book, therefore almost all of their ideas are just the same. The conclusion of this research is that the integrated science learning instrument with subject of Global Warming is proper to be used to facilitate creative thinking skill.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT Over the years, many organizations have attempted to automate the Incident Command System (ICS). These attempts have ranged from computerizing T-cards to a nationwide spill operations system. Over time, these systems have had varying degrees of success. While certain inherent reasons exist for not automating ICS, they are outweighed by the tremendous potential of successful automation. The need to produce documentation, the integration of ICS sections, and the rapid change of information all lend themselves to automation. Successful ICS automation does not start with computerizing ICS forms. The hey to automating ICS is to automate both ICS and response processes. In a response effort, many separate and distinct processes occur daily. The requisitioning of resources, the planning and application of the response organization, cost accounting, and the development of an Incident Action Plan (IAP) occur many times during an incident. This paper describes a framework for automating and integrating these processes. This framework offers organizations a road map for successful ICS automation. The poster presentation includes a software demonstration that illustrates the benefits of integrated automation.

Abstract:
The nature and economic development of Indian urbanization is characterized by metropolitan domination and polarization. The country's total population increased from 361 million in 1951 to 1,027 million in 2001, while the urban population increased from 62 million to 285 million during the same period. From 23 megacities in 1991 to 35 in 2001, the number has increased considerably. Therefore, it is clear that there is a clear movement towards large cities, possibly as a result of a lack of employment opportunities in small and medium cities and a deficient urban infrastructure. In 1979, the centrally supported scheme for the integrated development of small and medium cities (IDSMT) began and continued through 2004-05 and was incorporated into the UIDSSMT scheme in December 2005. It is important to invest in the development of small urban centers in order to reduce migration to large cities as well as to support the growth of surrounding rural areas. Small and medium towns are generally viewed as a means of balancing urban hierarchy and reducing pressure on primate cities, moderate spatial inequality, and foster factors that may assist in reversing the trend. Kurduwadi city is one of them, such as improper or uncertain use of available land, rising unemployment and migration to cities, unsatisfactory development plans to improve urban development. In this context, through integrated planning, efforts have been measured to obtain the resources needed to achieve each goal and improve strategy. Also by allowing institutions to plan and collaborate in departments, they can create efficiency and pursue new opportunities and help reduce migration to nearby large and metropolitan cities by strengthening the Kurduwadi towns as regional growth centers. Establishing complementary links between nearby villages, towns and cities will create a harmonious settlement pattern. An integrated development plan for the Kurduwadi town reduces some of the ideological concerns and working uncertainties emerging around this initiative through this study. The assessment of integrated town development may be appropriate to determine the future orientation and guidelines for Kurduwadi town.

Abstract:
Today, natural resources of urban areas have been given the rank of a necessary tool for combating climate change. Many cities are trying to manage biologically active areas of great quality by applying a blue-green infrastructure (BGI) strategy. Designing areas such as riverside areas belonging to BGI is particularly challenging. On the one hand, they are environmentally valuable areas requiring protection. On the other hand, they form urban public spaces subject to requirements of urban continuity as well as social and cultural conditions. The authors of the article argue that the optimal way of shaping riverside areas in cities that responds to diverse conditions (environmental, economic, legal, social) can be achieved by applying an integrated system of cooperation between designers known as the integrated design process (IDP) in the design process. The study aimed to answer the question of whether the integrated design process (IDP) that combines both the expert and social approach at the first stage, in the pre-concept phase may be optimal when developing riverside areas as part of blue-green infrastructure (BGI). The method was originally applied to architectural design, therefore the authors analyzed to what extent its assumptions may be used in the waterfront design process. First, the authors’ study compares design processes (traditional and integrated) for use in these processes of expert and social perspective. As a result, the integrated design process (IDP) has been considered as an optimal design process to create such areas. Then, the authors analyze the waterfront design process in Żmigród. The authors wanted to see to what extent the process corresponds to the assumptions of the IDP method. The authors point out the stages that implement assumptions of the IDP method partially or not at all and indicate the reasons for such a situation. The authors evaluated the role of various stakeholders. The analysis and critique of Żmigród case study presented here provide conclusions regarding the possibilities and limitations of the IDP method when implementing blue-green infrastructure projects in a small town.

Abstract:
Background: As greater career development support for doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers has been emphasized, the individual development plan (IDP) has become a recommended mentoring tool. However, little is known about the effect of IDPs on mentoring and career development. This study proposed two conceptual models to examine the interrelationships among the use of IDPs, mentoring support, and career preparedness with a diverse sample of doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers in the life sciences. Methods: The data leveraged for this study was collected over a three-month period, March 2016 to June 2016, as part of a cross-sectional, online survey. The survey was distributed through social media and direct email to participants enrolled in life/biological/medical or physical/applied doctoral programs at U.S. institutions. To test the proposed conceptual models, this study employed the design-based multilevel structural equation modeling. Results: The analytic sample comprised 660 doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers in the life sciences from 91 institutions. The results suggested that 1) using the IDP could enhance mentoring support and career preparedness of doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers; 2) greater mentoring support and career preparedness would motivate mentees to continue utilizing the IDP with their principal investigator (PI) or advisor; and 3) females, postdoctoral researchers, and international scholars might need more support throughout the mentoring and career development process. Conclusions: This research demonstrated the empirical evidence an IDP has within mentorship and career preparedness, and that an IDP is an important career development tool that enhances trainees’ overall career preparation.

Abstract:
Lingkup pembangunan berkelanjutan (sustainable development) mencakup segala bidang perancangan, termasuk desain perkotaan, arsitektur, hingga interior. ADAPTATION OF INTEGRATED DESIGN PROCESS AND ITS IMPLEMENTATION FOR INTERIOR PROJECT “Sustainable development" encompasses design fields as a whole, including urban, architecture, and interior design. Increasing demand and interest for interior business in cities is one reason for the need to increase sustainable development issues in this field. Integrated Design Process (IDP) potential to be adapted from building to interior projects is high because it is compatible with the design-build system commonly used for interior project completion. This study aims to find an overview of IDP adaptation for the interior field and the benefits and obstacles to a real project. A case study strategy is used in this study to achieve these aims, where the emphasis is on literature searching and real project analysis using observation and archive tactics. This study concludes that the benefits are practical project budgeting and financing, reducing construction risks, and long-term benefits of product. The obstacles are the increased project cost which can be pressed by efficiency of materials and accommodation, and the time and effort to reach consensus at the design phase, which designer’s role in the project team can press. Results of this study are expected to increase public awareness of the need for integrated planning and management of interior production so it can contribute to "sustainable development".

Abstract:
OBJECTIVES/SPECIFIC AIMS: To establish a conceptual framework to develop a CTS-IDP with data analytics, and an e-Learning Faculty Development Guide on best practices and use of the IDP over the CTS academic life-course. METHODS/STUDY POPULATION: To accomplish our goal, we propose the following methods: (1) an online survey, using a convenience sample of the 24 KL2 CTSA IDP Collaborative members (conducted in 2017), to assess perceived needs for a universal CTS-IDP, current IDP practices, barriers to IDP use, and to discern and align each CTSA Hub’s interests, expertise and commitment to specific areas of the study; (2) A scoping narrative literature review, utilizing the Arksey and O’Malley framework covering the time period corresponding to the initiation of funding (1999) of the original K30 Clinical Research Curriculum Awards through to the present CTSA funding period, incorporating Medical Subject Heading (MeSH) keywords (career development; career development plan; employee plan; mentoring plans; compacts; research contracts; career planning; mentor guide), initially delineated by USC reference librarian and to be expanded by reference librarian services from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and University of Rochester, and performed on NIH searchable databases including NCBI PubMed, Central and Medline & Worldwide Science; Web of Science, ProQuest, ProQuest Abi/Inform, Google Scholar, Cochrane, Ovid MEDLINE databases, as well as Google for published papers in English and Spanish. For this portion of the work, we will describe and characterize (1) research career development or progression constructs, domains, and milestones; (2) establish the presence or absence of defined and/or pre-specified timed milestone objectives and inclusion of SWOT analytics (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) and/or Gantt chart approaches; (3) delineate IDPs structure, toolkits and their key features (competencies, skills acquisition and processes utilized); (4) and identify specific gaps to best address the need for personalized career development education. Based on this review, we will synthesize CTS milestones, develop a time frame for meeting RCD expectations, and establish RCD benchmarks for achieving these milestones, all in consensus with the IDP Collaborative Workgroup. RESULTS/ANTICIPATED RESULTS: Seventy-seven percent of the IDP CTSA’s responded to the online survey, led by University of Rochester, and the results can be summarized as follows: (1) 100% agreed that the IDP process is important and should be considerably improved to optimize effectiveness; (2) a range of diverse IDP formats are utilized, making comparisons across programs difficult; (3) 50% of CTSA hubs report only fair to good compliance with the IDP process; (4) a major barrier to the IDP process is lack of instruction regarding how best to utilize; (5) poor alignment of currently available IDPs designed for basic science PhDs with CTS investigators; (6) an absence of a CTS specific IDP to best foster RCD for this specific career trajectory. When asked: What are the barriers to writing a detailed and thoughtful IDP, responses in order of agreement from greatest to least were: No verification of acquired competencies, beyond self-report (56%), Static platform (38%), Not constructed for clinical and translational researcher (31%), No analytical or documentation on use (31%), No instruction given to scholars on how to use it effectively and efficiently (31%), The IDP we are using is more constructed for PhD students and postdoctoral fellows (25%), No instruction given to the scholars on why it is important as adult learners (19%), and Not constructed for early career physicians/scientist (13%). Additional progress has been made on our Scoping review: An initial ABI/Inform and PubMed USC research librarian conducted search using Author names yielded 72 articles, of which only 2 were relevant to the topic at hand. A ProQuest™ search yielded 19 potentially relevant articles, 11 of which were of relevance to the topic of IDPs; and a Google Scholar search yielded 18 and 25 on career development and self-management, respectively. This has enabled us to put forth an initial model of factors that impact the purpose and design of IDPs that includes? DISCUSSION/SIGNIFICANCE OF IMPACT: Discussion: Our initial data suggests that many CTSA institutions see the need to further enhance the mentoring process with a more informed and personalized IDP template and process. Furthermore, our initial scoping review suggests a framework upon which to build specific components of a more ideal and useful IDP to best guide mentored research career development of CTS trainees. Significance: Developing and evaluating collaborative evidence-based CTS IDP and corresponding e-Learning Guide could potentially prevent or reduce important delays in RCD, a common roadblock for the translation of clinical interventions. Ultimately, the CTS-IDP serves not only to support and frame a scholar’s RCD “habits of mind” during training and early career development but to also to achieve a sustainable long-term career at a CTS researcher equipped to meet the ever challenging and dynamic research landscape.

Abstract:
Abstract Background Anemia is frequently encountered in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) with studies reporting an even greater prevalence among children (16–72%) than adults (4–67%) at any given time during disease course. Anemia is commonly a result of chronic iron deficiency (ID) and inflammation, with the two conditions often overlapping. Many studies have shown that gastroenterologists underecognize and undertreat these conditions. Moreover, there are currently no pediatric-specific guidelines. To align clinical practice with adult guideline recommendations and evidence-based publications, we developed a quality improvement (QI) initiative incorporating an algorithmic framework for recognition and treatment of iron deficiency anemia (IDA) in pediatric IBD. Methods The goals were twofold: improvement in 1) detection and 2) treatment rates of IDA in IBD patients. A multifaceted approach with a series of plan-do-study-act (PDSA) cycles was executed: 1. Public review of our current performance of anemia screening and treatment with all divisional providers (n=60) (11/2017), 2. Development of a new divisional clinical pathway for screening and treatment of IDA in patients with IBD (01/2018), 3. Educational sessions (02-04/2018), 4. Creation of an Epic order set and patient and family education (PFE) (02/2018), 5. Online availability of our pathway (11/2018), and 6. Utilization of an electronic medical record (EMR)-integrated dashboard to track our outcome metrics. A designated coordinator identified patients in the EMR and sent monthly reports to providers based on our automated dashboard which captured the percentage of patients with ordered hemoglobin (Hb) and ferritin, percentage of patients with anemia and/or iron deficiency, and percentage of patients with ordered iron therapy. Baseline data from July 2016 were compared to data after pathway implementation. Results In the pre-intervention period (July 2016-November 2017), 73.5% of our outpatient IBD population had a Hb ordered, with anemia prevalence of 36.3%. Only a minority of patients with anemia were being screened for ID (19.3%). Iron supplementation was prescribed in 38.1% of patients with documented anemia. Following the implementation of this QI initiative, rate of patients with biannual Hb testing completed increased to 80.1%, while prevalence of anemia decreased to 32.1%. Significant improvement was observed with screening and treatment rate increasing to 43.1% and 50.4% respectively by July 2019 as shown in Fig. 1–2. Notably, patients with moderate to severe anemia improved significantly from 48.7% to 62.1%. Conclusion ID and anemia are commonly underdiagnosed and undertreated in children with IBD. An evidence and expert based pathway combined with implementation of provider-based monthly reports using the EMR to support clinical decision may help increase screening and intervention and decrease rates of anemia prevalence. https://www.chop.edu/clinical-pathway

Abstract:
This study analyzed the elements of previously published stream restoration guidelines by clarifying the definition of stream restoration classified for various purposes. The purpose of this study was to establish a sustainable integrated design framework for stream restoration that supplemented the limited scope of application and the resulting problems. Stream restoration procedures were established using the method of securing water resources applied with the integrated watershed management in order to effectively and feasibly recover the modified stream, to resolve the water shortage problem, and to effectively restore the ecosystem due to climate change. An 11-step stream restoration procedure was established in three phases including the pre-restoration design phase, the restoration design phase, and the detailed design phase. Furthermore, the three stages were classified into hydrologic and hydraulic plan, geomorphic and sediment transport plan, and ecological and environmental plan depending on the direction of stream restoration, and the procedure for stream restoration was proposed to prevent river restoration from being biased toward a specific goal. An integrated design framework for stream restoration could be established by allowing the proposed stream restoration design procedures (e.g., three phases and three plans) and the elements to be carried out using numerical models for an effective design in establishing river restoration plans. Lastly, it was possible to quantify the problems of existing stream restoration by applying this stream restoration framework to the existing river restoration project and guideline report. As a result, the existing stream restoration project could be used as base data that could provide directions to supplement the weaknesses of the existing stream restoration project and provide directions for the new river restoration projects in the future.

Abstract:
Abstract Background Effective career mentorship enhances well-being, productivity, and advancement in academic medicine. The pathway to success for clinician educators (CE) is often ill-defined. Career development resources and support for this pathway vary across institutions. To address this need, we created a mentoring program pairing junior faculty pursuing careers as CEs with more experienced CEs from other institutions during IDWeek 2018 and 2019. Methods Prior to IDWeek 2018 and 2019, a survey was sent through the IDSA listserv to identify members pursuing CE careers interested in extra-institutional career mentorship. These faculty were paired with mentors who were established career CEs identified via the IDSA Medical Education Workgroup. Mentees completed a brief individual development plan (IDP) and identified 3 discussion topics. Mentors received the mentee’s IDP and CV prior to IDWeek and were given brief guidance on successful mentoring. One hour advising sessions were held during IDWeek and ended with the creation of a mentee action plan and a scheduled follow-up call. Post-participation surveys were sent to mentees and mentors. Results 31 different mentees and 15 mentors participated in the program over two years. 26 (84%) mentees completed the post-session survey. 25 (96%) mentees and 14 (93%) mentors reported being very satisfied with their meetings at IDWeek. All mentees created an action plan with their mentor. 16 (62%) strongly agreed and 10 (38%) somewhat agreed that they planned to make changes based on the meeting. 21 (81%) mentees strongly agreed they received advice they were unable to get at their own institution. After the session, 18 (69%) strongly agreed they felt connected to a supportive CE community at IDSA; none strongly agreed in the pre-survey. All mentors and mentees agreed that this program was a resource that IDSA should consider expanding. Qualitative response themes from mentees emphasized the usefulness of an external perspective. Conclusion A mentoring program for junior faculty during IDWeek was feasible and effective for CEs. Through these interactions, mentees planned changes to enhance their careers and felt newly supported by the IDSA community. This model could be used for other ID career paths at future meetings. Abstract:
Today, with many of the technological issues of integrated information management resolved (perhaps excluding the matter of interoperability), defining the content and status of BIM information deliveries remains both a practical and a theoretical problem. New BIM tools and new design processes and procedures have led to a certain confusion of what information is needed for particular BIM uses. This paper seeks to explore and enable a method of defining the content of model information deliverables through a review of 2 key primary specific BIM uses: 3d Design Coordination and Early Energy Appraisal through an analysis of practical application. The scope of this study is limited to a review of information flow within residential projects in a Swedish context and looks at two projects with a view to identify and establish a common definition of the key BIM objects and properties necessary for particular tasks. The key deliverable from this study is the BIM-Info Delivery Protocol (IDP) which attempts to align consultant BIM-information delivery expectations and represents a tangible solution to assist consultants to manage BIM information. Concluding reflections consider the positioning of the IDP relative to the on-going development of IDMs / MVDs and highlight the key constituent parameters of an Information Delivery Specification (IDS).

Planning of actions for implementation of institution's strategic decisions is one of the most complicated, on the other hand, the weakest in methodic provision complex objectives of strategic planning. Considering the local target of this phase of the strategic planning cycle to set the best ways to take the right directions in development of the scope of activity of an institution, a well‐reasoned composition of such a complex objective is as follows: generating action plan alternatives, defining the evaluation criteria of the alternatives and forming a combination of criteria, analysis and evaluation of the action plan alternatives, adopting a plan. The structure of an action plan for implementing institution's strategic decisions arose the necessity to identify two‐level objectives for drawing up the plan as well as the specific sequence of objective fulfilment in an analysed complex. The specifics of each level was evaluated in our proposals for improvement of the planning of the implementation of institution's strategic decisions based on the analysis of the results of progressive experience.

This report summarizes past and current activities in water management in Taiwan based on four major programs: (1) Taiwan 2000: Balancing Economic Growth and Environmental Protection (The 1985–1988), (2) Taiwan Agenda 21: National Sustainable Development (1998–2003), (3) Local Agenda 21: Environmental Action Plan Towards Sustainability (2003–2006), and (4) Sustainable Water Environment. Taiwan 2000 was for the first time in Taiwan the government encouraged industries to seek a balance between economic development and environmental protection. According to the principles and visions of Agenda 21, the Government has implemented visions and strategies for national sustainable development to serve as the basic guidelines for keeping up with the development in the 21st century. Local Agenda 21 was also developed by the local city and county governments from 2003 to 2006. It has an emphasis on sustainable water environment, total emission control, eco-industrial parks, sustainable transportation, and green community promotion. In addition, a fifth program, Water Safety Plan, was developed as the “Green Blue-Print” for the development of strategies and guidelines of national sustainable water environment. It focuses on Source Water Implementation Plan Rule (SWIPR), modernization of water treatment plants, and the implementation of Integrated Performance Evaluation (IPE) Program.

Abstract:
Water resources management is a continuous challenge in the Sultanate of Oman. Owing to its rapid development during the last 30 years, the growing economy has brought an increase in urbanization with a high demand for quality water supplies. Increasing demands to be met include agriculture, population increase and rapid industrial and commercial development. These factors have created a lot of stress in the water resources availability in the country. This has resulted in degradation of the quality of the water especially in the coastal areas owing to over-pumping and saline intrusion. To satisfy water users' requirements and safeguard the scarce water resources in the country, an integrated water resources management plan is proposed. This plan is based on the perception of water as an integral part of the ecosystem, a natural resource and a social and economic good, whose quantity and quality determines the nature of its utilization. The integrated approach will review the current water resources situation in the Sultanate of Oman (increasing water shortages, deteriorating water quality, stress in water supplies, etc) and incorporate policy options that recognize these elements, develop national water policy and base the demand for and allocation of water resources on equity and efficient use. The Integrated Water Resources Management Plan (IWRMP) will also consider the capacity building of the human resources working in the water sector, the development of new institutions that will serve and match this goal, the integration of water planning into the national economy and, more significantly, community participation.

It is recognised that there are many ways to organise and operate successful corrosion management programs, each of which is asset specific and depends on factors such as: Design. Stage in the life cycle. Process conditions. Operational history. AGR defines corrosion management as: “…the part of the overall management system that is concerned with the development, implementation, review and maintenance of the corrosion policy.” AGR corrosion management programs use a combination of risk-based Inspection technologies and traditional restorative maintenance activities. SOLVTM, a unique product from AGR Field Operations, is used for the management of fabric maintenance (surface coatings, insulation, passive fire protection, pipe and cable penetrations).Long-term plans: 5-year plans or longer based on client requirements. Prioritising areas and recommended maintenance intervals. Cost estimates and scope of work. Estimated condition development. Application: Treatment of component surfaces (coatings). Passive fire protection. Quality control. The benefits of the SOLVTM concept can be summarised as: Information regarding condition of maintenance objects. Preparation of fixed price maintenance plan and workpacks. Condition control through survey and audit. Cost control via quantified scope. Maintenance budget inputs for 5-year plan. Documented cost savings of 20–50 % have been realised where SOLVTM has been introduced and been used for long-term corrosion management.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT Expanding oil development and global transportation of oil has greatly increased the potential for impact on wildlife. This paper will focus on key elements for developing a wildlife response plan as an integral part of an overall spill response plan and will delineate how a well planned and organized wildlife response can be cost effective, can substantially increase the likelihood of saving animals, and can increase regional response capacity. A Wildlife Response Plan as an integral component of an overall spill plan includes professional oiled wildlife responders; current and effective oiled wildlife protocols; knowledge and understanding of standard oil spill response plans, wildlife risk assessments, background information on both the geographic area the plan covers and baseline data on wildlife in the area; and promotes a clear strategy with realistic goals for wildlife response. Just as with an overall spill response plan, a wildlife plan must incorporate safety as an overarching theme and have an action plan including notification systems and action cards showing an overview of each positions responsibilities and decision-making keys. The incorporation of the wildlife response team under the Incident Management (whether an Incident Command System is being used or some other management structure) is critical to the success of any wildlife response because it increases information and resources available to the wildlife group and provides for increased communications between the management team and the wildlife group. In addition, pre-planning for an animal event allows for equipment and other resource procurement prior to spill time. Having a plan that calls for activation and integration of a professional, trained and experienced animal care team into response objectives and activities provides for the care of impacted animals and allows for the most efficient and effective response without the duplication of effort and wasted resources. A professional animal management team with experience in triage and emergency management can make time critical decisions which will allow for the best care for the most animals, thus limiting net wildlife impacts from a spill. Once a wildlife response plan is developed, training to the plan and participating in regular exercises is critical to the success of the plan, just as with all other areas of spill response specialization. Pre-planning for oiled wildlife response - including the use of knowledgeable and trained professionals - greatly increases the likelihood of success of this increasingly visible aspect of oil spill response. Outside of the United States and a few other countries, oiled wildlife has historically not been included as part of spill response for many reasons. Some of those reasons include financial constraints, lack of experienced and trained personnel, and relative unlikelihood of success. In the past, with little pre-planning, few resources for oiled wildlife response, and no clear mandate to respond, oiled wildlife have ended up being at the mercy of well-meaning but often misguided attempts by volunteers and others to treat them. Too often, these efforts have resulted in failure and, ultimately, merely prolonged the suffering of the impacted animals. As with any part of spill response operations, wildlife response can only be successful when properly planned for and resourced. In recent years, it has become evident that with strong preplanning, trained personnel, equipment and other resources, oiled wildlife response can be successful, cost effective, and can pave the way for saving world populations of threatened or endangered animals. Today, there are excellent examples of oiled wildlife response plans which are integral components of overall oil spill plans and include wildlife risk assessments, management structures, access to trained personnel and equipment stockpiles, as well as familiarity with current and effective protocols for treating animals. These plans are dynamic and integrated into the safety and work culture of the plan holders and allow for on-going training of personnel to the plan. Additionally, a strong wildlife response plan will provide for pro-active and immediate action with regard to oiled wildlife which results in greatly increased overall spill response success.

Abstract:
Based on the Surabaya Madura Regional Development Agency Master Plan 2010-2024, Madura Island has a strategic position as part of the Gerbangkertosusila Urban National Strategy. There is still, however, a development disparity between Madura Island and East Java. This can be seen from the economic performance of Madura Island which is quite low compared to other districts or cities in East Java Province. Madura Human Development Index (HDI) is below the East Java on average, and the percentage of poor people in Madura is the highest in East Java. Therefore, the development of Surabaya-Madura (Suramadu) must be integrated through regional development, such as development of connectivity systems. The research used descriptive analysis to assess the characteristics of a program and to adjust the characteristics with sustainable development theory that consists of three components, namely: environmental, economic, and social developments. These can ultimately be used to sharpen the development target to be achieved in the next 5 (five) years. Data were collected using secondary survey instruments through existing literature studies and policy reviews, such as National Medium-Term Development Plan 2020-2024 and Regional Medium-Term Development Plan of East Java Province.
