Abstract:
Arguably, in common with many other nation states, Jordan could be said to have drifted into different ways of paying for health services without always foreseeing the long run consequences of taking the strategic direction necessary. In part, of course, as in many developing countries, the financing of Jordan's health care services has been influenced by its colonial past. This partly explains why, historically, Jordan has attempted not only to provide wholly free services, but to provide privileged access to medical services, not only to the military personnel but also to public servants in

Integrated behavioral health care within primary care has become a popular style of health care delivery within the United States. Andersen's behavioral model of health care use and the integrated theory of health behavior change served as the theoretical framework. Abstract:
The specific aims of this study were determined on a conceptual appreciation that management of information assets and services in some government agencies was deficient in meeting both existing and developing demands. This appreciation manifested itself in a commitment to investigate the principles and processes intrinsic to existing management methodologies, to relate these processes to the needs of users, and to determine a strategy which could more ably meet the information provision requirements of those users. The achievement of these aims predicated the use of the case study research me

Abstract:
In the light of an ageing society with shrinking economic resources, deinstitutionalization of elderly care is a general trend. As a result, homecare is increasing, and increasingly shared between different health and social care organizations. To provide a holistic overview about the patient care process, i.e. to be patient-centred, shared homecare needs to be integrated. This requires improved support for information sharing and cooperation between different actors, such as care professionals, patients and their relatives. The research objectives of this thesis are therefore to study informa

Abstract:
Decades of research have shown that there are significant advantages to maintaining close communicative and collaborative relationships between primary care and behavioral health providers. Fiscal, structural, and systemic barriers, however, often restrict the degree to which such interprofessional collaboration can occur. In the present study the authors examined relationships between primary care clinics in the Appalachian region’s characteristics (i.e., clinic type, rurality, and clinic size), barriers (i.e., fiscal, structural, and systemic) reported to using increased collaboration, and t

Background: Ghana has developed two main community-based strategies that aim to increase access to quality treatment for malaria, diarrhoea and suspected pneumonia, and to improve household and family practices: Home-based Care (HBC) and Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS). After two and eight years of HBC implementation in the Volta and the Northern Regions respectively, and more than 10 years of CHPS implementation in both regions, there was the need to assess the performance of these strategies in delivering care and preventive messages for children under-five with fever, di
