Full textThe rapid development of mobile computing has enabled the emergence and popularization of mobile devices whose increasing number and computing capabilities position them as potential alternative platforms to desktop computers. This technological progress has contributed to the emergence of a new category of business actors having no permanent workplaces, spending very short time in their offices, working directly on the field in various locations (home, car, plane, with the client at the hotel at the supplier, etc.) by using mobile and nomadic devices, and moving to places where business requires them: these are mobile workers including a large number of decision makers. Given this increasingly competitive business world where decision makers are increasingly mobile and are facing the need to take faster and suitable decisions based on relevant analysis, these mobile business people deserve to be supported with appropriate mobile decision support systems (DSS). To give an improved support to these mobile business professionals, this PhD thesis proposes to go further than just allowing a simple remote access to a Geospatial or non-geospatial Business Intelligence (GeoBI/BI) platform as do current solutions. It also proposes to take into account the location and the context of mobile professionals, and to enrich semantically BI data. To propose such a semantically augmented and context-based mobile GeoBI solution, the present thesis has endeavored on the one hand, to identify, model and enrich contextual information that is relevant to support GeoBI context-based reasoning. On the other hand, it has strived to provide a solution that semantically enriches business data in order to help decision makers discover semantic [cor]relations which might exist between the data. A prototype implementing a context-aware mobile application and a services-oriented architecture has been developed and tested as a proof of concept. These tests has shown among other things, that the prototype was able to answer and visualize the result of contextual queries such as: “Within 5 km around my current position, what are partnering companies that are competing with our owners; with the possibility of partnership/ownership relationships to be transitive, symmetric, or have the same semantics?”

Full textThis thesis deals with competitive intelligence systems (C. I. S. ) design. A C. I. S. Is considered as a particular type of information system (S. I. ), i. E. As an essential medium for the knowledge of the enterprise about its environment. This work is situated in the field of S. I. Design for decision support. We consider C. I. S. From "industrial systems engineering" point of view, i. E. As essentially focused on C. I. S. "customer's" requirement. Requirement is expressed at two different levels: the enterprise level (C. I. S. Level) and the user requirement (C. I. Product level). The 1st part of the thesis explores the domains of competitive intelligence (C. I. ) and management, in order to extract the ontologies described about environment, enterprise, C. I. S. , requirements, process, etc. The literature review shows the absolute necessity of using structured methods to design C. I. S. And the lack of such methods. In the part 2 some theoretical ground is sought in more structured research fields involved in S. I. Design: cognitive science, decision making process, corporate knowledge management, information system, methods engineering, and notably requirement engineering. In the 3rd part a method for C. I. S. Design is proposed, at two levels (corporate level, i. E. Global C. I. S. , and user level i. E. C. I. Product level). The modelling is built by using the set of ontologies collected in parts 1 and 2, regarding three worlds (environment, enterprise, decision maker) and the C. I. Process itself. The model for C. I. S. Global modelling is adapted from music S. I. Model. Processes to implement method are proposed. The C. I. Product development process is based not only on requirement prototyping but on production process prototyping too. In order to make the method use easier, a first set of support tools is presented, notably regarding requirement analysis

Full textThe management of information and knowledge flows, as well external, tacit and explicit, formal and abstract, is essential for the companies. For an R&D center, information and knowledge management is of great importance in the définition of strategic planning and innovation. However the exponential growth of information available makes difficult the access to the one which is really relevant and useful, and therefore it is necessary to take into account overall all flows circulating in and around these organizations. Technology monitoring and strategic intelligence must be coordinated in order to put in relation human and technical networks. Within this framework, the various functionalities of Internet could be a fantastic tool and support to answer to the needs. However the tools available do not always respond to the real needs, then the organizations must develop or adapt specific functionalities. To obtain useful information and to share knowledge, we designed and developed a modular and easily adaptable portal for users' communities. Its portability will be ensured by the use of technological module and multisystem programming languages. The main objective is to propose a global process for the human and technical networks management to contribute to the strategic decision-making

Full textOur objective is to contribute to the comprehension of the double functionality of information systems, justified by its vocation and its capacity to influence and be influenced within the marketing service of large companies. The first part studies the concepts of information systems in marketing which can have an impact on commercial decisions. With strategic information systems, market scanning, and information technology, the problem of controlling commercial information in a changing environment emerges from both the theoretical point of view and the practical. The conceptualization of this problem research hypothesis makes it possible to note the contribution of information systems. The second part which deals with the stakes of the relation between information systems and marketing strategy, makes it possible to identify many connections of which most significant is the influence of the market scanning on commercial performance

Full textFrom now on, the environment of territorial actors is composed of local, national and international networks. Moreover, because of the new system of telecommunications and multimedia, the key to new stakes lias become a priority. Thanks to networks and their applications, a aew collective intelligence will be made possible in order to solve problems proved more and more complex due to massive information. The thought which is proposed in this thesis aims at an electronic space system of mediation, also called Territorial Information Intelligence System, in order to encourage the synergy between local actors. Indeed, new exchanges -partly virtual- will cohabit with other sides of disrupted relations. To exist and renew, those spaces should present networks and means of tranter of knowledge through democratic, economic and educational disposals. .
