We achieve this isolation with Jailhouse, an open-source, minimalist hypervisor. Physical layer issues of broadband wireless communication systems form the bottleneck in providing fast and reliable communication over wireless channel. Critical performance limiting challenges are time selective fading channels, frequency selective fading channels, noise, inter symbol interference (ISI), inter carrier interference, power, and bandwidth. Addressing these challenges of wireless broadband communication systems, one can provide faster data processing with lower computational complexity, higher data throughput, and improved performance in terms of bit error rate (BER). In this chapter an effective technique (SISO estimation) to handle interference cancellation is developed. ISI is caused by multi-path propagation. It can be reduced by using a channel equalizer which provides the receiver with the prior knowledge of the channel. Channel estimation is a technique to acquire behavior of the channel. Accuracy of the channel estimation improves the system performance. At BER of 10-4 SISO estimator provide an improvement of 2dB as compared with MMSE DFE estimator.

Abstract:
Since early 1990s, the electoral campaigns in Lithuania take place within the framework of long-term parliamentary party agreements on Euro-Atlantic integration (more specifically, in the context of fear of pernicious geo-political interference from Russia) and free market reforms (or, in other words, eagerness to integrate into the European market and to be part of the euro-zone). The overall distance between parties on the socioeconomic scale is fairly small and, among political elites, the pro-Western consensus is apparent. There are no real outcast parties in Lithuania. The Lithuanian society itself is not ravaged by deep socio-political cleavages and its ethnic, religious, or corporate divides are not sharp. Yet, electoral volatility is high and political parties are numerous. However, governments in Lithuania are relatively stable. The ministerial government model entrenches itself in Lithuania. Since 2000 the increasingly unstable multi-party system necessitates that the coalition governments are based on inter-party bargaining. The tendency is towards ‘oversized’ cabinets and surplus coalitions. As a rule, publicly available coalition agreements resemble rather memorandums of understanding than seriously thought-through documents of partnership for a particular policy agenda. Coalitions in Lithuania accommodate office-seeking parties and politicians. Commitment of the parties to the coalition in question is routinely maintained via the distribution of ministerial portfolios. The coalition management machinery produces personified accommodations, dubious compromises, delays, and postponements as typical modes of conflict resolution. These deficiencies in turn lead to erosion of political accountability, which further breeds frustration and political protest.

The electromagnetic interferences (EMI) are threats that affect the reliability of the railway signalling systems. Consequently, the identification of the reliability requirements dependent on environment conditions is a major issue for signalling systems designers, and therefore for evaluators, and testing and certification bodies. Signalling systems work in the complex and heterogeneous railway environment, where low power electronics have to work together with high voltages and currents from trains and railway infrastructure. This chapter presents the relationship between the railway electromagnetic interoperability and the reliability assessment by analyzing the signalling systems and the associated inter-dependencies with other components of the rolling stock. It is composed of two main sections; the first gathers an exhaustive state of the art approach to the issue of electromagnetic interoperability and railway industry. This subsection steers towards the combination of electromagnetic interferences and the signalling systems present in the rolling stock noise environment. That is the basis of the second section that finally sets how to establish the reliability requirement for a communication path in this environment. This requirement is established because of the electromagnetic noise environment, as well as the radiated and conducted fields, which are a combination of all the surrounding threats a focused railway system has to face. It also depends on the modulation of the communication signal under study.
