Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the problems of insurance fraud in our society. The thesis is divided into several relatively separate sections. The theoretical part describes a basic characteristic, classification and origins of insurance fraud and it deals with a general description of perpetrators of fraudulent actions. An analysis of fraudulent actions in life and non-life insurance is carried out in the theoretical part of the diploma thesis. This work characterises the importance and the mutual relationship between detection and investigation of fraudulent actions. It also highlights the facts which aid and abet insurance fraud. The aim of the practical part of the diploma thesis was to carry out an analysis of various insurance fraud cases in the realm of motor insurance according to the subject, object and the most frequent variants of fraudulent actions and consequently create a profile of the perpetrator of insurance fraud on the basis of the evaluation of the analysis. The practical case study of client’s expedient behaviour enables us to look on detection of the particular insurance fraud. The end of the diploma thesis deals with recommendations for the measures which should be taken to fight insurance fraud.

Diplomová práce podává ucelený přehled o vývoji, základních definicích a cílech externího a interního auditu. Součástí jsou také očekávané novelizace předpisů v české legislativě. Praktická část se věnuje možnosti využití interního auditu v malém a středním podniku. Práce se zaobírá úlohou řízení rizik v různých stádiích života podniku, zvláště se věnuje úloze interního auditu v boji proti podvodům. Obsahuje doporučení procesního řízení či systému ERP, jako efektivního nástroje řízení vedení podniku, a možnost využití služeb outsourcingu a cosourcingu. Závěr je věnován aktuální situaci interního auditu v České republice.

Dissertation includes problems of internal and external audit. The goal of this work is on the basis teoretical knowledge and information got from experience, to do internal and external audit of fulfilment by drawings of financial subvence. The result of both made audits is final report.Work is composed from three parts, first part- theoretical-describes progress of internal audit, its essence and definitions, regulation frame, which characteristics ought to fulfil an internal auditor, then running of audit, including requirements, respectively formal as well as objective, for the final report of made audit.Second part-also theoretical-describes external audit, respectively in anologous structure as internal audit.Third part-analytical- includes make of both audits, respectively in context of rendered financial subvene of public service subject ,concretely to community Skály.Within an analytical part is processed contract, agenda of both audits, including final reports of made audit.At the close of this part is made comparison of both audits.

In the theoretic part are described basic principals and methods of external and internal audit. First is defined the term, second is described historical development, legal regulations and operating techniques of audit. At the end is described output of the audit -- audit report. In the whole theoretic part are mentioned main similarities and differences between external and internal audit. In the application part is made external audit of the concrete company for the year 2009. The data are taken from the annual report of the company. It is followed by description of internal checks, which company does periodically. Last part is audit of financial situation. There are used indexes of financial analysis to evaluate the financial health of the company. Recommendation how to improve current situation are given based on this background.

This diploma paper is focused on the problems of internal audits. The goal of the paper is to inform readers on the profession of the internal auditor. The paper is divided into two parts. In the first part background information is provided on the origin and development of the auditor profession, kinds of audit, and the relationship between external and internal audits. Next in this part is an overview of the internal audit; namely its development, requirements on the person of the internal auditor, law concerning internal audits in the Czech Republic and the procedures of internal auditing starting with risk analysis, planning and realization of the internal audit and concluding with the reporting of results and assessment of the internal audit. In the second part a case study is provided of an internal audit at the Ministry of Education. In this part I describe the history of the department, and an internal audit of the department - its position and individual results accomplished by the internal audit.

The thesis deals with the business strategy of a middle-sized entrepreneur in the food manufacturing industry. The theoretical part explains basic terms, introduces methods of a strategic analysis and describes basic approaches to formulating the strategy. Abstract:

I chose the topic: Strategic Analysis of the Firm for my diploma work. In this work, I devote myself to the hotel of Atom***, which has its seat in the street of Velkomeziříčská in Třebíč. I chose this firm, especially because I have been working here as a waitress and receptionist for a part-time job; I have access to information, and I know the environment in which the hotel is situated. The main purpose of the work was to analyze an external environment and mainly to focus on the competition being situated in this town. My alternate purpose was to find out whether potential customers are aware of the hotel and whether existing customers are satisfied with the services being offered. To reach these purposes, I used an internal and external analysis from whose results I made a SWOT analysis. I used the PEST analysis, industry analysis and Porter's five competitive forces model for the external analysis. Further, I used marketing research that helped to reach the alternative purpose and to complete previous analyses in particular. Since the hotel of Atom has no strategy, being apparently defined, I can tell that as a matter of fact, the strategy in itself does not exist. In the final chapter, I therefore suppose a certain strategy and specific operative measurements that will lead to the fulfilment of the vision existing only in subconsciousness of the hotel keeper.

The aim of this thesis is to describe the theory of external and internal audit and to familiarize with a practical prespective on cooperation between external and internal auditors in banks. Specifically, the cooperation between external and internal auditors was consulted with one of the biggest banks in the Czech Republic. The thesis is divided into theoretical anc practical part. The theoretical part deals with definitions and bacis principles of external and internal audit. Moreover, auditing standards and code of ethics are presented. The practical part is based on the information about professional experience of auditors and is focused on cooperation between external and internal auditors in banks.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the strategic analysis of the enterprise TOS ZNOJMO, a. s. which is the factory of machine tools that operates not only on the Czech market but its trade relations extend also to foreign markets. The company has built a tradition and she has a high position on the market even if it is not the only one in this line. It is necessary to determine its competitive advantage and analyze the situation of the external surroundings at the time when the Czech economy is not the only one fighting against the economic crisis. Just this area has a large impact on the operations of the company and negotiation with external partners. The company is sufficiently flexible in this area. Internal influences, which are influenced by the crisis, are also important. There are some financial indicators which do not correspond, unfortunately, to the standard. The results of individual analysis lead not only to the evaluation of the current situation but also serve to the outline of the future strategy and identification of the vision and business aims. The results also help to define recommendations for the future development of the organization.

The aim of this thesis was to perform a strategic analysis of the enterprises Neva-Trade s.r.o., Neva-TST s.r.o. and Delta Kardasova Recice a.s., which operate as one enterprise. In the theoretical part was described some fundamental characteristics of strategic management and methods of strategic analysis. In the practical part, I applied internal and external analysis to the enterprise. Last, I put togerher SWOT analysis of obtained results and based on this analysis I have formulated a strategy that I suggested to the enterprise to implement in the future.

The business plan is the crucial and fundamental document allowing the company to take decision to implement the project, or not. The core project itself is to buy and modernize a lawn tennis centre. To support the decision to accept or to reject the project there is made the internal and external analysis of the company; this part of work is contained in the introductory part of them. It is supplemented with the anticipated demand estimation. Coming from these conclusions there is elaborated the realistic version of the sales concept. As the next step the accounting statements were elaborated and the final financial analysis and business plan assessment were made.

The Master thesis is focused on the definition of internal and external audit. This work is divided into two main parts. The first part is theoretical, which deals with the characteristics of audit, audit risk, explaining methods and procedures for internal and external audit. It also includes ethical assumptions, principles and law requirements for the exercise of the audit profession. The second part is practical, this part deals with the comparison, mutual confrontation between internal and external audit, specifies the same as well as different features between them. Moreover thesis focuses on the practical application of methods during the external audit. Purpose of this thesis is to compare the internal and external audit and applies the methods used in the external audit.

U externích auditorů se práce zaměřuje na požadavky pro vstup do profese, zejména minimální požadované vzdělání, řízenou praxi a auditorskou zkoušku. Dále se věnuje vzdělávání po vstupu do profese, zejména požadavkami na kontinuální profesní vzdělávání auditorů a možnostmi jejich naplnění. U interních auditorů se práce věnuje institucím zastřešujím interní audit v ČR a SR a vzdělávacími službami, které poskytují.
