This thesis studies the Supreme Court decision, Korematsu v. United States, 323 U.S. 214 (1944) and its historical context, using a narrative perspective and reviewing aspects of narrative viewpoints with reference to legal studies in order to introduce the present study as a method of assessing narratives in legal settings. The study reviews the Supreme Court decision to reveal its arguments and focuses on the context of the case through the presentation of the public story, the institutional story, and the ethnic Japanese story, which are analyzed using Walter Fisher's narrative perspective.

(in English): The topic of the master's thesis is Italian women's memoir literature which deals with the theme of concentration camp. The factual part is devoted not only to the situation of Jews in the 30th and 40th years of the 20th century, but especially women's memoirs literature and its specific features. The analytical part is focused on live and work of three writers and holocaust survivors: Luciana Nissim, Liana Millu and Giuliana Tedeschi. The final part of the thesis is devoted to a comparison of the women writers and their literary work in the context of "concentration literature".

This diploma thesis deals with the political trials of 1950s in Czechoslovakia. It describes specific cases of poets Václav Renč and Jan Zahradníček who were accused of espionage and high treason. The group of accused were based on unfounded evidence, treated as part of an international organization called Green International. Relating with the political trials and imprisonment these thesis focuses on analyzing the prison poetry of these two catholic authors.
