Abstract:
This article presents the results of a study of the relationship between the type of parent-child relationship and the characteristics of interpersonal relationships of adolescents with peers. The main aspects of the formation of the system of interpersonal relations in adolescence are described. In the study, the respondents included students of the Faculty of Secondary Vocational Education of the Autonomous non-profit organisation of higher education Belgorod University of Cooperation, Economics and Law, 50 people in total. The evaluation of the characteristics of interpersonal relationships of adolescents was carried out according to the results of the following methods – Timothy Leary's Interpersonal Behaviour Circle and the “Comprehensive methodology for assessing social behaviour (competence)ˮ developed at the Centre for Sociology of Education of the Russian Academy of Education by Daniil Khlomov, Sergey Baklushinskiy, Ol’ga Kaz’mina, thereby identifying a group of adolescents with extremely distinct results of the qualitative assessment of interpersonal relations. This group of adolescents have interpersonal relationship difficulties, there are signs of ill adaptivity of interpersonal (social) behaviour. The features of educational strategies in adolescent families were studied using the questionnaire on parental attitude towards children – “mirrorˮ for Analysis of family relationships (Edmond Eydemiller, Viktoras Justickis) and the Parent-Child Interaction Questionnaire (Irina Markovskaya). Data processing statistical methods used include Student's t-test, Kruskal–Wallis H test, cluster analysis using SPSS. In the course of the work, four types of family upbringing were identified and described, with possibility to detect in each type the disfunction signs’ characteristic in the interpersonal relations system. The results indicate partial confirmation of the hypothesis about a correlation between various aspects of interpersonal relationships of adolescents and types of family upbringing.

Abstract:
The present study provides an analysis of the concept of procrastination and its features, together with a discussion of the fundamental approaches to its investigation. It examines procrastination as a threat to the psychological security of the educational environment. The author presents the results of an empirical investigation of the characteristics of interpersonal relations in the educational environment, academic motivation, and general motivation of students with various degrees of procrastination. The subjects of the investigation were 95 students, of the average age of 18.2 years, in an institution of higher education dedicated to the humanities. The subjects were evaluated using the procrastination scale for student populations developed by C. Lay, the academic motivation scale of R.J. Vallerand, the self-evaluation survey of motivation of academic, intellectual, and professional activity developed by N.A. Bakshaeva and A.A. Verbitsky, and the “Survey of Interpersonal Relations in an Educational Environment” developed by G.S. Kozhukhar and V.V. Kovrov. The primary hypothesis of the study, that the interconnections of interpersonal relations in an educational environment with academic and general motivation would differ in the groups of students with different levels of procrastination, was confirmed. The differences in the evaluations of the quality of interpersonal relations, and indicators of academic and intellectual motivation of students with different levels of procrastination were of special particular significance. It was shown that, the higher the level of students’ procrastination, the greater the interaction between the negative aspects of interpersonal relations in the educational environment and the external academic motivation.

Abstract:
Polyvictimization is experience of multiple, different kind victimizations that range from child maltreatment to school bullying and beyond. Polytraumatization includes trauma that are not limited to interpersonal abuse, for example, car accidents, natural disasters etc. These concepts are in turn related to cumulative harm and multi-type maltreatment which are discussed later in the article. Polyvictimization and polytraumatization highlights the shift in abuse research and practice from single trauma to multiple trauma analysis which significantly impacts forensic and clinical judgment on causality of post-traumatic reactions. On the other hand, legal professionals in different countries still ask mental health practitioners to identify specific emotional consequences that are linked to specific civil and/or criminal case. Whether it is called psychological damage, psychological injury, sequela etc. – legal specialists want and need to prove causal relations between wrongful act and psychological injury. Unfortunately, it is almost impossible to make a strict judgment on sequela causality if polyvictimization is identified. The current article explains several theoretical notions regarding polyvictimization and emphasizes implications that need to be taken in to account when conducting abuse research and clinical and/or forensic victim assessment. Latvian legal system and practical problems in forensic psychological and psychiatric expertise is briefly discussed.

Abstract:
This article examines the theoretical and practical aspects of the activity of medical managers, the social and psychological climate within teams, and interpersonal relations. The goal of the study was to investigate the interpersonal interaction styles and intragroup relations between team members and managers, as well as to determine the impact of managers' psycho-emotional characteristics on their effectiveness during the COVID-19 pandemic. A total of 158 medical workers participated in the study, which was conducted in 2021 using a self-developed questionnaire. The expert evaluation method and standardized psychodiagnostic methods were used. We identified negative factors that affected the management of medical institutions during the pandemic, such as deficiencies in material and economic support, low levels of managerial competence, violation of collegiality and fairness principles during duties and rewards distribution, and deficiencies in manager recruitment. The most psychologically challenging aspects of managing or working in a medical facility during a pandemic include excessive emotional tension and stress, high levels of responsibility, lack of management experience and/or competence in crisis conditions, physical overload, work outside of working hours, and lack of adequate rest. A mini-personality profile of the effective manager of medical institutions in pandemic conditions was developed. One of the psychological regularities of a manager's performance identified is the presence of self-regulative skills in negative emotional states, pronounced activity and energy, mobility, and a strong desire for action.

It outlines the theory's fundamental concepts, emphasizing human, environmental, and health aspects. The case analysis demonstrates the theory's application in managing patient anxiety. Its strengths include enhancing mental well-being, reducing anxiety, and providing better care. However, the theory has limitations, particularly its emphasis on psychological aspects and neglect of the physical environment. The conclusion highlights the importance of integrating a holistic approach to enhance nursing care effectiveness.

Abstract:
Objective:Presurgical psychological screening (PPS) is a procedure for mitigating possible unfavorable outcomes after spinal surgery. Although the effectiveness of PPS on degenerative spinal diseases has been investigated in Western studies, a potential cultural influence on PPS is still unknown. This study thus aims to explore the experiences of Taiwanese people before spinal surgery and tries to establish culture-specific components of PPS in Taiwan.Participants and Methods:A total of five participants aged from 44–69 with degenerative spinal diseases were eligible in this study. All participants visited a neurosurgical outpatient clinic for potential surgical treatment, and each participant underwent an one-hour semi-structured interview before surgery. The demographical information, medical history, psychological status (e.g., personality traits and emotional disturbances) and considerations to make a surgical decision, were recorded and further analyzed following the rule of grounded theory. Results:Four major components with 21 sub-components were reported when deciding to receive a surgical treatment for their spinal diseases, including disease-related considerations, medical information, self-concept and interpersonal relations. In terms of disease-related aspects, patients concerned about etiology, symptomatology, impacts, coping strategies and rehabilitation methods. As for medical information, patients paid more attention on medical compliance, the relationship with medical system, attitude for treatment, expectation to surgical outcomes, medical decisions and medical information. As for the self-concept, patients considered more on the impacts of disease on self-concept, strategies of emotional regulations and personality traits. In terms of interpersonal relations, patients reported more on the supportive resources, patterns of interpersonal activities and impacts of interpersonal relations on medical decisions. Additionally, other specific factors, such as past negative experiences (e.g., chronic insomnia, experiences of psychological counseling), litigation, physical punishment in childhood and social roles, were also reported. Conclusions:Like previous findings, our results supported that the interpersonal relations and doctor-patient relationship in PPS were important considerations before surgery, while we further evidenced that influences of family members on medical decision is determinant and unique in this culture.

Abstract:
In Kenya, orphanhood has risen and affected many children among them primary school pupils. A parent’s death may affect children’s psychological well being. There is a close coherence between children’s psychological well-beings and their interpersonal relationships. Children who have poor psychological well-being are likely to be withdrawn, experience low self-esteem and have poor adaptations to human functioning and life experiences. These conditions affect their relations with others hence become deviants. A literature gap exists in Kenya on orphanhood’s effect children’s relations with other pupils thus motivating the authors to come up with such a study. Thus, the objective of the study was to establish the influence of orphanhood on pupils’ interpersonal relationships in public primary schools by comparing the mean scores in pupils’ interpersonal relationships between the orphaned and the non-orphaned pupils. Also, establish whether gender differences exist in interpersonal relationships between the orphaned pupils. Causal-Comparative research design was considered appropriate for the study because of the comparison of groups. A sample of 110 pupils (55 orphaned and 55 non-orphaned) drawn from 10 primary schools was involved in the study. The pupils were drawn from primary classes 6 and 7. The sample was selected by using purposive and stratified random sampling procedures. A questionnaire was used to collect data which was analyzed by use of independent sample t-test. The study established that orphanhood has a significant effect on interpersonal relationships among pupils in primary schools in Kenya. It was also established that significant gender differences exist in the effect that orphanhood exert on pupils; with boys being more affected than the girls. From the findings, it is evident that absence of parents negatively affect the interpersonal skills of children particularly the boy-child. Such children need counseling interventions to counter these effects. It is therefore recommended that school counselors, teachers and school administrators in Kenya should assist orphaned pupils cope with the loss of their parents by offering psychological and social support to them. This is because the poor interpersonal relationships of orphaned pupils may affect various aspects of their lives that include academics and discipline among others. Key words: effect, interpersonal, relationships, orphanhood, primary school pupil.

Abstract:
The article analyses the results of the study of interpersonal trust among students. It was determined that interpersonal trust is viewed ambiguously by Ukrainian and foreign scientists. National scientists indicate the importance of interpersonal trust in the formation of partnership relations, conflict-free interpersonal interaction. Foreign studies emphasize the social nature of interpersonal trust, which is manifested only in the relationship of an individual. Structural components of interpersonal trust are cognitive, emotional and behavioural. Emphasis is placed on the socio-psychological and personal characteristics of subjects of interpersonal trust. It is noted that the level of subjective control, sociability, optimism, tolerance, reliability, the level of the individual's trust in himself, and his psycho-emotional state belong to the personal factors that influence the willingness of the individual to trust. The study was conducted on the basis of Mykhailo Kotsiubynskyi Vinnytsia State Pedagogical University. 79 freshmen took part in it. It has been empirically determined that first-year students of future psychologists have a significantly lower level of interpersonal trust than average. The level of self-confidence tends to be average, the external level of the locus of control prevails. The most dissatisfied areas are personal achievements, health, the quality of communication with loved ones, internal and external support, and the ability to self-control. Factor analysis made it possible to single out four factors (psychological well-being, internality in learning, achievement, self-realization), which, in our opinion, reflect different aspects of interpersonal trust in first-year students of future psychologists. The conducted research allows us to state that students who experience psychological well-being, are responsible, are focused on their own strengths, take responsibility for successes and failures in learning, are focused on achievements and self-realization, have a higher level of interpersonal trust.

Abstract:
Introduction: The analysis of the literature devoted to scientific considerations on the relational aspect of the functioning of siblings, especially those who are in adulthood, allows us to draw the conclusion that they are relatively rarely undertaken by researchers. It is noticed that nowadays there is an increase in interest in this issue. The aims of the work were to consider some of the limitations occurring in the process of conducting psychological research on the sibling subsystem and to present tools for psychological measurement of the quality and dimension of the interpersonal relationship between siblings.
Method: The method of content analysis of publications in this field was used and a comparative analysis of issues undertaken in the context of psychological research on the relational aspects of the functioning of siblings was carried out.
Results: Five self-report questionnaire tools that were developed in 2014-2017 were presented along with their psychometric properties: Adult Sibling Relationships Questionnaire, Adult Sibling Family Relations Scale, STQ - Now, STQ – Then and Relationships Questionnaire with Siblings.
Conclusions: The specificity of research on interpersonal relationships in the sibling subsystem is related to methodological awareness of the high complexity of the family environment and knowledge of the uniqueness of sibling relationships. The researcher's consideration of both issues creates space for searching for new methodological solutions.

Abstract:
According to Heider, some of his ideas about common-sense psychology presented in The Psychology of Interpersonal Relations ( Heider, 1958 ) originally came from his academic teacher, Alexius Meinong. However, Heider makes no reference to Meinong in his book. To clarify Meinong’s influence on Heider, we compare Heider’s explication of common-sense psychology with Meinong’s writings, in particular those on ethics. Our results confirm that Heider’s common-sense psychology is informed by Meinong’s psychological analyses in several respects: Heider adopts aspects of Meinong’s theory of emotion, his theory of value, and his theory of responsibility attribution. In addition, Heider more or less continues Meinong’s method of psychological inquiry. Thus, even without Meinong’s name attached, many aspects of Meinong’s psychology found their way into today’s social psychology via Heider. Unknowingly, some of us have been Meinongians all along.

The article is devoted to the analysis of the main principles of business and professional consulting as a practice of interpersonal relations and the being of its subjects. The main problems of clients connected with violations of their intrapersonal and interpersonal relations, as well as relations to their own life (being) in general, subjects of business consulting as participants in business processes and life, in general, are considered. The purpose of the study is to analyze the basic principles or meta-technologies of business and professional consulting in educational organizations. The article summarizes the basic concepts and concepts of business and professional consulting, reflecting its meaning as helping the socio-psychological practice of developing people and educational organizations. Relying on the tetrad of principles of psychological counselling, isolated in the school of C.R. Rogers, as well as the leading principles of organizational counselling in educational organizations, the authors consider their manifestations and features in the main aspects and dimensions of advisory interaction. Traditionally, such dimensions are distinguished: power/management system, competence/experience system, love/system of relations. Each of these dimensions is associated with one or another intention of consultative relations in educational organizations: transformational, dialogical, and relational. Within each of these intentions, the basic principles of business and professional consulting in educational organizations are manifested as meta-technologies or meta-technology groups. In addition, the authors consider the principles of business and professional consulting in educational organizations in relation to the life of the consultant and the client as a whole, as "meta-technologies of life".

Abstract:
The practice of psychotherapy revolves around human relationships, especially between client and therapist. At base, psychotherapy is “a species of human interaction that establishes the therapist as a protective figure or secure base in a way that facilitates client growth and change” (Bailey, 1997). This secure interpersonal base enables the client to confront inner conflict, interpersonal conflict/deficiencies, and negative thoughts about the self and others (see Gilbert this volume). Evolutionary kinship therapy views the client-therapist relationship, and client relations with others, through an evolutionary lens that focuses on the role that ancestral human relationships played in shaping current social behavior (Bailey, 2000; Bailey & Wood, 1998). This article outlines psychological kinship theory and then applies the logic of the model to selected aspects of the client-therapist relationship.

Abstract:
There is broad consensus that there are at least two different dimensions of narcissism: vulnerable and grandiose. In this study, the authors use a new trifurcated, three-factor model of narcissism to examine relations between aspects of narcissism and an array of clinically relevant criteria related to psychopathology, the self, authenticity, and well-being. Neurotic and antagonistic aspects of narcissism emerged as the most clinically relevant dimensions of narcissism, bearing relations with outcomes relating to interpersonal guilt, insecure attachment styles, cognitive distortions, maladaptive defense mechanisms, experiential avoidance, impostor syndrome, weak sense of self, inauthenticity, low self-esteem, and reduced psychological well-being. Grandiose narcissism was not correlated with most forms of psychopathology and was even positively associated with life satisfaction. Nevertheless, a surprising link was found between grandiose narcissism and multiple indicators of inauthenticity. Implications for the appropriate conceptualization, assessment, and treatment of pathological narcissism are discussed.

Abstract:
This article seeks to understand the routes to, and pasts, possibilities and forms of, the interior world of the African or black person in its relations to the politics and economy of superiority and separation. The world that is explored is primarily sexual, and therefore, incorporates embodied life, but of necessity widens to include affective, cognitive, and purposeful aspects. In the face of the scarcity of scholarly psychological literature in the area of the intimate lives of black individuals, particularly when seen against the backcloth of colonial and apartheid arrangements, the article begins by arguing for the importance of turning to other, imaginative, sources for help in trying to comprehend African interiors. It then turns to meanings of intimacy on which interiority is indexed, going on to discuss the notion in relation to the social, political and economic history of South Africa, while taking in the notion of soul along the way. Next, the interest of colonial and apartheid regimes in intimacy is traced, showing that this interest stretched beyond interpersonal relations to the very calculus of discrimination and domination. The article concludes by urging African scholars to take black inner life a little more seriously and without abandoning creativity, still locating such efforts within radical and ethical theoretical frameworks.

Abstract:
AbstractThis paper studied the work stressors and coping strategies of lawyers in Singapore. Data collection involved the use of both quantitative and qualitative research methods — a survey of 450 lawyers and in-depth interviews with 27 lawyers. This study found that while time pressure and work overload were the most stressful aspects of lawyering work, social interactions and interpersonal relationships at work proved to be a salient work stressor, when lawyers were dealing with clients, fellow lawyers and judges — that is, interpersonal stress. This study explains how lawyers constantly monitor and adjust their actions to negotiate for control or 'power' over others in their attempts to cope with work stress. In examining the correlation between lawyers' perceptions of work stress and their coping behaviours, this paper reveals that while lawyers tended to report more problem-focused than emotion-focused coping ways, the correlation analysis informed that emotion-focused and help-seeking coping ways were significantly correlated with interpersonal stress, such as in dealing with clients and colleagues. This study further shows that lawyers invoke social and psychological coping resources to position themselves strategically within prevailing power relations to cope with their interpersonal stress at work.

BackgroundThere is widespread scepticism concerning the reliability and validity of psychoanalytic judgements of patient–therapist transactions. We predicted that (a) in reviewing the initial part of 14 videotaped assessment interviews with borderline and dysthymic subjects, dynamic psychotherapists would agree in their ratings of psychoanalytically relevant characteristics of subjects' interpersonal relations; (b) inter-correlations among the ratings would conform with those expected from psychoanalytic descriptions of ‘paranoid-schizoid’ and ‘depressive position’ states of mind; and (c) these ratings would differentiate between borderline and dysthymic groups.MethodSix trained psychotherapists who were blind to the design of the study, independently rated qualities of interpersonal relatedness during the first 30 minutes of each interview, on & 30-item ‘personal relatedness profile’ResultsThere was satisfactory interrater reliability in judgements among the raters, and evidence that the items were interrelated. There was also & significant difference between the two subject groups.ConclusionsIt is possible to make reliable psychoanalytic judgements about qualities of interpersonal relatedness. Moreover, there is evidence that paranoid–schizoid and depressive positive aspects of psychological functioning do constitute & meaningful constellation of clinically grounded phenomena.

Proposals have been made on the activities of government bodies and civil servants to improve the forms, methods and methods of providing emergency psychological assistance to victims in emergency situations. It is noted that for many years, along with the development of psychological ideas, concepts and theories, there was a large “army” of psychologists who worked in health care institutions, in production, in education, in the internal affairs, aviation and space industries, and other sectors of the national economy. The content and results of their activities often did not fall on the pages of newspapers or in scientific publications. But these psychologists and their work often served as the primary source for experimental research and theoretical work of scientists. It is proved that any person, following certain recommendations and having information about the personality characteristics of the victim, will be able to provide him with the first psychological help in certain circumstances. It is very important to know how to help the victim immediately after the tragic event, to master the skills of working with the individual consequences of psycho-traumatic situations. The article examines the problems of the phenomena of communication and influence in the system of socio-psychological work (SPW), where it is an important tool for regulating rights protection, finance-material, socio-medical, predictive, rehabilitation, correctional, advisory, etc. requests and needs of the Ukraine’s population; it has been proven that the success and productivity of SPW depend on the ethics and effectiveness of communication and the influence of a specialist in the socio-psychological sphere, his professional actions and deeds, especially during the large-scale war of the Ukrainian people; SPW is substantiated as a multi-role type of activity, essentially aimed at socially and psychologically vulnerable sections of the country’s population; the attributive signs of SPW are described, namely, cognition, understanding, and implementation into the life activity system “human human” the dynamic structure of communication (communicative, interactive, perceptive, spontaneous-intuitive) as types of exchange (informational, business, meaning-actional, self-meaning); the communicative component of contact in the “social worker client” interaction is characterized as an information-meaningful aspect of interaction, interactive as active, perceptive as a cycle of cognition and perceiving others, spontaneous-intuitive as a self-reflective, self-comprehensive course of one’s own processes; at the same time, it has been proven that the varieties of exchange ensure the mutual coordination of role expectations, enable the consent as a condition for the productive interaction deployment, and also coordinate positions, intentions, values, ensure trust as a condition for the stability of relationships or, on the contrary, their competitiveness, struggle, organize the cycles of relations, connections, intentions, carry out goal-setting of activity, cultural development, self-identify the Self with the products of creativity, cause the emergence of the person’s Ego-integration as a process of uniting all their Selves (past, present, future, eternal) into a system-functional integrity; it is underlined that the four aspects of communication as types of exchange are one of the five basic parameters of the innovation-psychological climate theory (according to O.Ye. Abstract:
The purpose of the study is to reveal the impact of prisoners and convicts’ satisfaction on their relationship with closer environment on their suicidal tendencies, as well as on feeling of hopelessness as a predictor of suicide. Methodology. The interrogation of 181 imprisoned persons in penal institutions (pre-trial detention centers) located in 21 oblasts of Ukraine was conducted in order to clarify the indicators and the relationships between them. The following methods were used: 1) test “SR-45” (by Yunatskevych) that reveals a tendency to suicide risk; 2) Beck’s “Hopelessness” scale that reveals the level of hopelessness; 3) questionnaire of measuring the satisfaction with interpersonal relations that influences the level of the convicts relationship with the three groups that make up the social environment: relatives (family), employees of penal institutions (pre-trial detention centers) and other convicts. A five-point Likert scale was used in the questionnaire. Results. The study revealed an impact on the level of suicide risk regarding the relationship with personnel of the penal institutions (p≤0.01) – bad relations with the personnel increase the susceptibility of convicts to suicide. The influence of the level of convicts’ satisfaction with relationship with the personnel (p≤0.01) and with their relatives (p≤0.01) on the feeling of hopelessness was also revealed – the higher the satisfaction, the lower the hopelessness. No statistically significant effects of convicts’ satisfaction with relationships with other convicts on the level of suicidal reactions and on the hopelessness were found. Practical implications. The obtained results indicate the need for preventive measures aimed at raising awareness of the personnel of the penal institution and pre-trial detention centers on the aspects of convicts’ suicidal behavior and the socio-psychological competence in general, promoting the preservation of prisoners’ relationship with their relatives. Originality/value. The research was conducted by the authors in September 2020 – March 2021. This is the first attempt in Ukrainian psychological science to study empirically the impact of prisoners and convicts’ satisfaction with their relationship with the social environment on their suicidal intentions. Key words: imprisoned, convicts, suicide, suicidal behavior, relationship satisfaction, administration, family and relatives.

Abstract:
ABSTRACTBackground:Social support networks for older persons have been related to health outcomes including differences in psychological wellbeing (PWB). However, the specifics of this relationship remain unclear especially in sub-Saharan Africa. This study investigates the (1) relationship between aspects of social support and PWB among older persons in Ghana and (2) the extent to which this relationship is moderated by their education levels and locational characteristics.Method:The study included 1,200 community-residing individuals aged 50 years and older who participated in an Aging, Health, Psychological Wellbeing and Health-seeking Behavior Study (AHPWHB) conducted between July 2016 and February 2017. Logistic regression models evaluated the associations of social support and their interactions with education and locational variables in PWB.Results:Several aspects of meaningful social support: family/friends contacts ( β = 0.958, p < 0.05), couple focused ( β = 0.887, p < 0.001), emotional bonds ( β = 0.658, p < 0.005), attending social events ( β = 0.519, p < 0.001) and remittances from children ( β = 0.394, p < 0.005) significantly related to improved PWB in later life. These associations remained robust and largely strengthened after accounting for respondents’ background and health-related factors. Education and locational characteristics substantially influenced the associations between social support and PWB.Conclusion:These findings suggest that especially in terms of PWB, aspects of meaningful social support networks are critical elements in later life. Strengthening opportunities for closer interpersonal relations with older persons may enhance their mental health, quality of life and independence.

Abstract:
Occupational stress is drawing the attention of an increasing number of authors who deal with psychology of work and organization. Unlike old, "industrial" definitions of stress at work, modern ones put the emphasis on the psychological aspects of work which have adverse effects on the employee's mood, motivation and general health condition. Therefore, more attention is dedicated to the approach of superiors, interpersonal relations and balance between private and business life, as well as traditional effects of monotony, work conditions and opportunities for advancement. The author establishes an expertise base about stress by presenting and analyzing the results of numerous scientifically relevant studies on the topic of stress at work, thus familiarizing students, researchers and practitioners with the most important postulates, observations and implications for treating consequences of stress. Moreover, stress as one of the most current issues of modern era is increasingly positioning itself in the centre of the work context through problematic interpersonal relations, conflict or confusing work roles and insufficient or inadequate reward. The author finishes his book/textbook with the chapter about stress measurement methods and techniques, which will be crucial in proving the presence and toxic effects of stress, and in treating stress-related occupational diseases in the future.

This paper provides a theoretical and historical background of explanatory and descriptive models of domestic, family, and interpersonal violence and introduces a new model that seeks to correct aspects of those models that have been heavily critiqued. The Model of Systemic Relational Violence reconceptualizes violent relationships with coercive control and emotional and psychological violence at the core and more traditional event-based markers of relationship violence as peripheral enforcement tactics in a more extensive system of interpersonal domination. This new model is built on the insights and perspectives of survivors of relational violence and the service providers who support them. It has been developed to be applied in a variety of diverse relationships and contexts.

Abstract:
Retirement tends to be perceived by society as passivity, social withdrawal, and physical and mental decline. The fact that people in retirement have withdrawn from economic endeavor tends to lower the esteem in which they are held by the community even though the withdrawal may be forced upon the individual by reason of compulsory retirement at a fixed age. These are the negative aspects of the overall picture. Keeping this as background an attempt is made to assess “Influence of Gender on Psychological Wellbeing among Elderly Working And Nonworking Respondents”.For the study purpose 309 elderly persons were included, 199 were male and remaining 110 were female. Among them retired working male were 99 and retired nonworking male were 100 and retired working female were 29 and retired nonworking female 81. Psychological wellbeing scale by Sisodia and Choudhary (2012) measuring 5 aspects namely life satisfaction, efficiency, sociability, mental health and interpersonal relations was used to measure the level of psychological wellbeing among retired working and non-working persons. Two-way ANOVA was employed to find out the impact of gender on psychological well-being. Results revealed that male respondents had better psychological wellbeing than female respondents. However, the interaction effect between groups and gender was found to be significant indicating male and female respondent differed significantly in total psychological wellbeing irrespective of the group they belong. Thus there is an impact of gender on psychological well-being among elderly working and nonworking persons. Engaging in life, financial benefit and social contacts even after retirement balance the wellbeing in elderly leading to happy and successful aging.

Abstract:
To practice compassion, the recognition, understanding, and alleviation of patient suffering are of utmost importance. Nursing literature provides ample guidance about the nature and meaning and patients’ views about compassion and physical and psychological suffering. However, missing is the discussion about how nurses can achieve a deeper awareness of patients’ suffering to practice compassion. This paper aims to describe the relational inquiry nursing approach and illustrate how this approach can enable nurses to develop a deeper awareness of patient suffering. The relational inquiry approach encompasses two components: a relational consciousness and inquiry as a form of action. Relational consciousness requires the nurses to focus on the concrete situations and relationships as well as recognize the intrapersonal, interpersonal, and contextual factors affecting the situations. The interpersonal factors are among and between the individuals, intrapersonal factors are within the individuals, and contextual factors are the hidden factors influencing the individuals and situations. Inquiry as an action requires a critical analysis of the experiences of individuals, situational contexts, and knowledge to inform the nursing care modalities and actions. This approach encourages nurses to use the philosophies of hermeneutic phenomenology, critical theory, and pragmatism. The phenomenological worldview allows nurses to interpret their own and patients’ experiences, the critical theory worldview allows nurses to examine the influence of social and cultural factors, and pragmatism allows nurses to question their prior knowledge and develop new knowledge in each situation. The relational inquiry approach allows nurses to develop a deeper understanding of patient suffering through building a therapeutic and trustworthy relationship, active listening, focusing on the details, and engaging in broad and situations specific inquiries to understand the patient narrative of suffering. Two case exemplars are shared to demonstrate how relational inquiry allowed nurses to move beyond recognizing physical suffering and understand patients’ emotional and psychological suffering.

Abstract:
One of the key tasks on the way to reforming the penitentiary system according to the Strategy for reforming the penitentiary system for the period until 2026 is the formation of an effective model of personnel training and activity. Employees of the State Criminal and Executive Service of Ukraine almost every day during the performance of their duties fall into extreme and emergency situations, enter into interpersonal contact with persons who have committed crimes of various degrees of severity and promote the ideals of the criminal world, have difficulties in establishing interpersonal relations according to the norms defined in democratic society. Accordingly, each of the personnel representatives should be endowed with a number of professionally important qualities that allow effective educational influence on convicts. The article highlights the main features of the professional activity of the personnel of the State Criminal and Executive Service of Ukraine. These aspects determine rather high requirements for the psychological qualities of candidates for the positions of rank and command staff. It was found that the service, as a rule, takes place in complex conflict and extreme conditions, is associated with high nervous tension and mental overload. It is also worth noting that the psychological preparation of an employee for the occurrence of extreme and emergency situations is very important, the absence of which is often the reason for ineffective performance of official duties. The worker, regardless of the dangerousness of the professional environment, must be in close contact with convicts (prisoners) every day, maintain equal, conflict-free relations with them, and provide assistance to the penitentiary staff in carrying out social, educational and psychological measures in relation to them. Professionally important qualities of the personnel of the State Criminal and Executive Service of Ukraine have been identified and analyzed. It is on the urgency of the task of strengthening personnel potential, the effectiveness of combating offenses with signs of corruption and reducing their level, as well as preventing other illegal manifestations among the personnel of the specified service, that attention is focused on in the process of reform. Key words: reformation, penitentiary system, professional and psychological requirements, psychological stability, professional observation, professional deformation.

The article deals with the features of intergenerational interaction of students of different ages within a single educational environment and an ambiguous attitude to the social and psychological experience of generations. Empirical research has shown that within the framework of a gerontological unit all age groups of students have an opportunity to receive a qualitatively new social experience on a permanent basis in professional, cultural, leisure and volunteer fields. It should be noted that the younger generation has a positive attitude to retro students; they want to and can become retro students’ mentors, helping the elderly to master modern competencies. Retro students, despite the difficulties of interpersonal relations, are ready as mentors to share their knowledge, social and life experiences with young people. The results presented in the article have shown that the most promising forms of cooperation between students and retro-students are master classes in various areas, and creation of gerontological faculties at universities is the strategic direction of gerontology education.

Abstract:
The relevance of this article is determined by the need for a scientific study of the psychological aspects of the spiritual and moral sphere of human existence against the background of the multifaceted crisis of modern civilization. The isolation of the psychological aspect in human consciousness is decided through an appeal to the domestic philosophical and psychological tradition of the pre-revolutionary period. In particular, the philosophical and psychological heritage of S.L. Frank, who was not only an outstanding Christian philosopher, but also a psychologist, is being considered. Frank's study of psychological ideas relies on the history of psychology and on the psychology of the spiritual and moral sphere of human existence. In particular, the following is considered a) the influence of Frank's scientific heritage on the "psychology of gnoseology", his contribution to b) human macrodescription; in this regard, the concepts of "soul", "mental life", "love", "consciousness", "personality" and "psychological health" are considered), and c) understanding the spiritual foundations of social life. Parallels are drawn with the understanding of other scientists of these and other psychological categories. The key theoretical and methodological provisions of Frank's creative heritage, which are important for the development of psychological science, are emphasized. The relevance of Frank's philosophical and psychological heritage is justified in the light of information and psychological psycho-manipulatory influences on a modern man. The special significance of Frank's legacy is emphasized for the development of a holistic approach to human psychology. Frank's philosophical reflections are compared with modern psychological ideas about the structure and development of the personality, about the spiritual and moral foundation of social relations. The importance of revealing the spiritual and moral foundations of interpersonal relations is emphasized. The starting point of the concept is the idea of the rootedness of human existence in God. The ways of subsequent research of the philosophical and psychological heritage of S.L Frank are outlined.

Abstract:
The article presents the results of a study of the relationships between various aspects of the socio-psychological climate of the team and the effectiveness of professional activities. The author also presented a program for harmonizing the socio-psychological climate in the production department of the cadastral chamber and assessed its effectiveness. The socio-psychological climate of a team is understood by the author as a system of relations of its members to the team as a whole. Based on a theoretical analysis of the literature, we have derived the following definition of the socio-psychological climate of an organization’s team: the socio-psychological climate of a team is a relatively stable emotional reflection by members of the organization’s team of the nature of the interpersonal relationships that have developed between them, as well as their attitude to joint activities, determined by micro and macroenvironment and the specifics of the activity itself. For the socio-psychological climate, the past experience of the team, expected results and current activities are of great importance. The socio-psychological climate, therefore, is based on interpersonal relationships and, accordingly, is an indicator of their condition. Creating a favorable socio-psychological climate is a constant, systematic, systematic work of the organization’s leaders, work team managers, ordinary employees and psychologists in the organization. We also considered such a parameter as the effectiveness of professional activities. This concept is considered by A.K. Markova, on whose theoretical concept we relied, as a correlation between objective and subjective characteristics of work activity. The objective ones were subject-specific and technological performance indicators that can be observed and recorded in the process of work and which can be assessed based on the results of the activity itself. Purely psychological indicators of effectiveness, which have a personal meaning for a person and are expressed in the attractiveness of work, acted as subjective ones. One of the leading subjective criteria for the effectiveness of professional activity is satisfaction with this activity, as an opportunity to satisfy basic needs in it. The article presents a program for harmonizing the socio-psychological climate in the production department of the cadastral chamber, and describes the results of assessing its effectiveness.

Abstract:
Presenteeism is the term used to describe going in to work even with a health problem. The phenomenon has been identified as one prior factor in sickness absence and, accordingly, the better it is understood, the better will be the prevention strategies. This study aimed to examine the mediating role of presenteeism (the ability to concentrate on work and to complete work despite a health problem) in the association between psychosocial factors at work and common mental disorders (CMD). This cross-sectional study included 1218 nursing personnel at a public hospital in Brazil. Structural equation modelling was performed. The sample comprised mostly women (85.4%), and the mean age was 44.1 (SD = 11.3; range: 24–70) years. Prevalence of presenteeism was 32.8%. Among presenteeist workers (n = 400), a relationship was observed between presenteeism and higher CMD scores. Furthermore, being able to concentrate on work even with a health problem mediated the relationship between social support and CMD and between psychological demands and CMD. Working when sick impairs both the work and the worker’s health. Interventions designed to improve working conditions and interpersonal relations can be effective strategies against presenteeism.

Abstract:
The article reveals the problem of psychological violence in the family and considers the gender aspects of the manipulative phenomenon of gaslighting. Manipulations are aimed at forcing other people to perform exactly the actions that the manipulator needs. These actions lead to certain consequences that the manipulator wants to get in accordance with his motives. In a family relationship, the gaslight partner does not care what the victim partner wants and aspires to. It is important to him that others obey. Because the victim partner does not always agree to submit to this pressure, the gaslighter uses manipulation to indirectly influence the motivation, decisions and actions of the victim partner. Manipulative techniques are often veiled in such a way that the victim cannot understand the harmful effects that the partner has on him. The aim of the study was to study the concept of “gaslighting” in the environment of interpersonal relationships of marital partners; studies of gender features of gaslighting; identification of verbal and nonverbal means of manipulation characteristic of a gaslighter; development of practical recommendations on ways to counteract the gaslighter. The results of our study showed that destructive statements to victim partners characterize the specifics of gaslighting as a kind of psychological, emotional violence in family relationships. Women are more told about their mental illness, inferiority, humiliation, success. Men in their address more often hear from partners statements about the wrong perception of reality. The most common manifestations of gaslighting in the family relationships of respondents are: humiliation of the person by the partner, devaluation of feelings and the importance of important events, as well as the transfer of responsibility to the partner. Regarding the manipulative actions used by gaslight partners towards the respondents, we highlighted accusations from partners, ignoring feelings, verbal insults and rejection of the lifestyle of partner victims. The key strategies for resolving family conflicts that respondents use are rivalries and adaptations. In general, based on the results, we found that there is no gender variation in the use of gaslighting by marital partners in family relationships – since both women and men are equally faced with the manifestations of this phenomenon in the family Key words: gaslighting, manipulator, gaslighter partner, victim partner, psychological violence, family relations.

Abstract:
The article reviewed the modern empirical studies of alexithymia, summarized the theoretical understanding of the phenomenon of alexithymia, describes the difficulties faced by the people with a high level of alexithymia and suggested tips on psychological work with the alexithymic people. The novelty of this research consists in the formulation of the aspects of the practical work of a psychologist in order to increase the level of the adaptation of the alexithymics and improve the quality of their life. At the moment, this problem is covered in only a small amount of research. The main result of the article is the identification of the areas of psychological work with the alexithymics: (1) the improvement of the connection with the body; (2) the correction of personality problems; (3) the psychological assistance in the harmonization of the interpersonal relations. It has been shown that disrupted connection with the body is one of the most significant problems of the alexithymics and the factor which contributes to the development of psychosomatic diseases. For the improvement of the connection with the body the authors suggest such types of psychological work as the differentiation of physical feelings, a fuller understanding of the body map, the ability to control the condition of the body, the acceptance of the body and the increase in the satisfaction with it. The ways of working with the most significant personality problems of the alexithymics are singled out (correction of non-adaptive coping-strategies, low level of life satisfaction, rigidity, and instability of the emotional sphere). The areas of work on improving the relations of the alexithymics with the surrounding people are highlighted (gaining more knowledge about the emotional sphere, working with friends and relatives, teaching communication skills, taking into account the influence of alexithymia). Finally, the conclusion is made about the importance of the integrated psychological work with the people with a high level of alexithymia in order to develop the specific tools for comprehensive assistance to alexithymics.

Abstract:
The current paper presents an overview of interpersonal conflicts in discourse area of character in modern English fiction discourse from the standpoint of multimodality theory, pragmalinguistics, and semiotics. In this respect semiosis is defined as the action of a sign, a dynamic process of meaning-making and meaning-interpretation realized through multimodal semiotic modes which collectively construct the meaning, communicated in these situations. This constructing is proceeded with the help of conflictives as emergent discursive constructs, the result of interactive constructing by means of verbal, nonverbal and graphic semiotic resources functioning in different stages of conflict communicative process. The linguosemiotic space of their realization is in the plane of disharmony of interpersonal relations of characters and its semiosis is built on cognitive, semiotic, communicative, and pragmatic specifics of conflictives as operational units of conflict discourse. Moreover, the appropriate inferences require understanding of cognitive, psychological, social, and cultural aspects accompanying narration. The aim of the study is also to establish a link between different approaches to the interpretation of conflict communication development and methods of their research in modern scientific studies. Multimodal nature of conflictives comprises several modes of multimodality for the analysis of conflict semiosis in fiction discourse: verbal, nonverbal, visual, auditory, kinetic etc. These patterns of meaning combination or meaning multiplication through different semiotic modes together construct the meaning, communicated and interpreted in the situations of interpersonal conflicts in discourse area of character in modern English fiction discourse. To achieve the objectives of research, a semiotic approach to the paradigm of conflict discourse approaches is applied, together with the elements of conversational analysis, multimodal discourse analysis, pragmatic analysis. The obtained results show the capacity of the semiotic approach to the conflict studies to enhance the effectiveness of linguistic research in the field of conflict studies.

Abstract:
The article presents the results of a study of intellectual development of high-status, middle-status and low-status members of the educational preschool groups. It is shown that the intellectual development of high status and middle status 4-5 years old children is higher than their low-status peers, especially in such aspects as perception, attention, and memory. This integral indicator of high status subjects corresponds to the average or high level of intelligence, and for most of the subjects of this category is characterized by a high level. An integral component of intellectual development of middle-status children is comparable to the one in high-status. In fact, there is only one, but not least, difference between the two categories: among high-status children there is no kids whose integral indicator of intellectual development is below average. Integral indicator of intellectual development of most low-status subjects corresponds to the low intelligence level. We analyzed a dialectical relationship of intellectual, social, and psychological development of preschool children according to the concept of «interpersonal situation of development». The article presents methodical maintenance of structure definition of interpersonal relations in the preschool educational groups. The study proposed a number of scientific and practical recommendations.

Abstract:
The topic of self-injurious behavior is relatively new for the domestic academic psychology. The article presents the definition of the phenomenon of self-injurious behavior and problematic aspects connected with its conceptualization, the groups of subjects the most prone to its demonstration are specified. The most widespread classifications of forms and types of self-harming behavior are provided, the relations of self-harm with different behavioral manifestations and individual and psychological characteristics are described (low self-esteem, perfectionism, negative self-attitude and body image, and the feeling of failure); its basic psychological reasons (emotional and sexual violence as well as the experience of traumatization) and functions (cutting on psychological pain, decrease of tension, mastering the feeling of internal empiness and loss, attraction of attention, etc.) are summarized. The persisting nature of self-injurious behavior is stressed that demands separate investigation of the psychological interventions elaborated for the current moment. The analysis is made with reference to current foreign both descriptive theoretical works and relevant empirical research. The procedure of primary adaptation of E. Klonsky's ISAS questionnaire for the domestic use is presented: preparation of the Ukrainian version of translation with participation of 3 experts, involvement of the sample of research participants (initially 154 subjects aged 17-49, 82 females, finally 34 subjects aged 17-47, 30 females), finding indices of retest validity and internal consistency of the questionnaire. The calculations showed satisfactory indices for the relevant critetia of the validity of the questionnaire. At the end of the article the Ukrainian version of the translation of the questionnaire is given with the sub-scales (affect regulation, interpersonal boundaries, self-punishment, self-care, anti-dissociation / feeling generation, anti-suicide, sensation-seeking, peer-bonding, interpersonal influence, toughness, marking distress, revenge, and autonomy) and the key. Abstract:
Currently, cross-cultural communications actualize the problems of multi-level dialogue, including ethno-cultural, linguistic and psychological aspects. The aim of the study is to study the cultural space of the North Caucasus in the context of the development of intercultural communications. Cross-cultural relations are caused by the interaction of cultures of different ethnic groups, which directly affects the development of social relations. Political, social and economic problems that have emerged in modern Russian society have negatively affected interethnic relations, in particular, in the North Caucasus. Armed conflicts have caused interethnic contradictions and caused great damage to interethnic and intercultural relations. Currently, everything necessary is being done to resolve conflicts. Thus, it is necessary to study modern communication processes, as well as the peculiarities of intercultural interactions in the North Caucasus. Currently, mutual intercultural communication in the dialogue of cultures sometimes leads to conflict situations. Its development leads not only to social peace and harmony, political agreement, but also to the settlement of inter-ethnic relations. Ways to resolve them will be more successful if ethnic groups have a social and national culture, the main task of which will be the settlement of various conflicts, the maintenance of peace and harmony. In the study of cross-cultural communications, the problem of preserving cultural identity is actualized. Among the peoples of the North Caucasus, a special role is played by socio-cultural communication, in particular, at the intercultural, intergroup and interpersonal levels.

Abstract:
The article examines the nature and the main manifestations of the psychological component of physical training in the context of social and psychological aspects of successful management in the education system. In particular, attention is paid to the phenomenon of psychological well-being of the person, the factors that influence the development of mental and psychophysical abilities. According to the authors, the determining factor for creating peace of mind for students in higher education is emotional and ethical attitudes. As evidence supporting the author´s position illustrated are the basic components of both psychological well-being and personal development of a human: independence (autonomy), the ability to change the environment, characterized by processes such as the pursuit of perfection, training, readiness for a new, positive interpersonal relationships, self-acceptance, purpose in life. In this paper, from a sociological point of view discussed is the possibility of using the methods employed in the process of physical training to create a favorable psychological and moral climate in the classroom for physical education and management. As a result of these techniques physical training acquires a productive nature, and physical education becomes a managed process.
It is proved that the formation of a favorable psychological climate in the team involves the distribution of standard roles among its participants. Thus, in the course of exercise are determined and allocated roles such as «informal leader», «systematizer» and «harmonizer», which allows using all possible vectors of psychological modality.
The article outlines the prospects of using the author´s concept. Thus, the use of the above methods in the article is not limited to the formation of emotional and ethical relations and a suitable psychological climate in the group; and directed, ultimately, at the formation of the whole person with harmonious spiritual and physical inner organization.

Abstract:
Personality growth as a socio-psychological problem is a multi-complex phenomenon that targets Self-identity, Self-actualization, and other areas. During the last decade scientists started studying other factors limiting the personality growth, such as stress and post-trauma. However, the Survival Roles, the socio-individual patterns based on neurophysiological and psychological defense mechanisms blocking the personality Self-actualization, social interaction and professional business qualities, are rarely discussed. Thus this study based on Survival Roles may extend the personality growth oriented concepts and therapy modality tools. This study showed a correlation between Survival Role patterns, stress resilience, and survival reflexes (integrative units of the nervous system functions). Comparative data on 464 business professionals from high management jobs (Study Group — n=340, and Control Group — n=124) participated in this research which found 70.9 % (n=329) of the total group was in stress. This stress activated socio-individual Survival Roles and protective reflex patterns which responded with reactivity, over-protection, non-constructive interactions with others and limited business strategies. The MNRI® reflex integrative training used in this study demonstrated improvement of functions of the protective reflex patterns effected positively the survival mechanisms including increased stress resilience, and decreased negative effect of Survival Roles. MNRI® proposes a new paradigm in the realm of personality growth and socio-interpersonal activity, and supports the neurophysiological aspects to optimize the overall quality of life of business professionals from a variety of high management business areas.

Straipsnyje pristatomos 16–89 metų Lietuvos gyventojų reprezentatyvios imties asmens psichologinės gerovės struktūros paieškos, naudojant Lietuviškąją psichologinės gerovės skalę (LPGS). Atlikus patvirtinamąją faktorių analizę išryškėjo vieno faktoriaus psichologinės gerovės modelis, apimantis abu gerovės aspektus – hedoninį ir eudaimoninį. Išskirti septyni gerovės komponentai: optimizmas / kontrolė; pasitenkinimas pragyvenimo lygiu; negatyvus emocingumas; pasitenkinimas šeima ir artimaisiais; pasitenkinimas tarpasmeniniais santykiais; pasitenkinimas fizine sveikata; pasitenkinimas darbu. Du teiginiai, matuojantys pasitenkinimą gyvenimu Lietuvoje, į faktorių analizę nebuvo įtraukti. Skalei ir subskalėms būdingas labai geras vidinis suderintumas.Pagrindiniai žodžiai: psichologinė gerovė, jos struktūra, Lietuviškoji psichologinės gerovės skalė (LPGS).Verification of the structure of psychological well-being in a representative Lithuanian sampleKairys A., Liniauskaitė A., Bagdonas A., Pakalniškienė V. SummarySome studies focusing on well-being were unable to distinguish two – hedonic and eudaimonic – components of well-being (Vitterso et al., 2010; Kashdan et al., 2008; Šarakauskienė, 2012). Previous comparatively smaller sample researches, conducted by the authors of this article, also yielded a single psychological well-being phenomenon (Bagdonas ir kt., 2012; 2013). Although a slightly different structure was established, studies could not isolate two traditional – hedonic and eudaimonic – components. The aim of this study was to verify the structure of psychological well-being in a representative Lithuanian sample using the original Lithuanian Psychological Well-being Scale.Methods. 1202 Lithuanian citizens aged 16–89 were enrolled in the research (M = 45.5 years, SD = 18.7 years). The study sample was representative of the Lithuanian population aged from 16 to 89 years according to gender, age, educational level, nationality, type of settlement, and region. The Lithuanian Psychological Well-being Scale, which consists of seven subscales (optimism / control, satisfaction with living standards, negative affectivity, satisfaction with relatives, satisfaction with interpersonal relations, satisfaction with physical health, satisfaction with work) was used in this study. Two items that depict satisfaction with living in Lithuania were not included in the factor analysis. The analysis of the data was conducted using the SPSS 20 and structural equation modelling AMOS software.Results. The data obtained from the Lithuanian representative sample supports the same factor structure of the Lithuanian Psychological Well-being Scale (χ2 = 4851.0; df = 1487; p < 0.0001; RMSEA = 0.043; CFI = 0.9; TLI = 0.889) that was established by previous studies. The scale consists of optimism / control, satisfaction with living standards, negative affectivity, satisfaction with relatives, satisfaction with interpersonal relations, satisfaction with physical health, and satisfaction with work subscales. All the mentioned subscales have a high internal consistency (Cronbach α is no less than 0.8).The testing of the second-order factor models has shown that psychological well-being is as coherent and unanimous phenomenon; even when two second-order factors representing the hedonic and eudaimonic aspects of well-being are omitted in the model, the correlation between those two is very high (>0.8). The obtained results do not support the idea that the construct of well-being consists of two different foci; it seems like there are no hedonic or eudaimonic well-being, but just person’s psychological well-being.

Abstract. Purpose – to study modern approaches used in the world's oncology clinics for medical and psychological support and rehabilitation of patients with colorectal cancer (CRC) at various stages of anticancer treatment. Materials and methods. During the research, available abstract and full-text publications were used, which had been obtained as a result of an information search for 2014–2022 in international databases (PubMed; ScienceDirect; Wiley Online Library; Google Scholar; Directory of Open Access Journals). Results. It has been established that modern scientific sources present conflicting data regarding the psychological states of patients with CRC, from emotional well-being to high levels of distress, anxiety and depression. Foreign scientists are developing and offering various directions of assistance to this group of patients, aimed at the patient's acceptance of the stoma; awareness of the psychological mechanisms of the disease, reduction of the level of distress and anxiety, restoration of interpersonal relations. The programs available in the literature are focused on supporting patients, increasing their physical activity and social aspects of the rehabilitation process after discharge from the hospital, reducing pain syndrome at the palliative stage by using the latest modern computer technologies. The proposed programs are safe for patients and feasible, but vary in effectiveness. Conclusions. Psychological assistance to patients with CRC should include individual and group psychological support for both the patient and their relatives, which will be provided at all stages of the treatment process, namely, preparation for surgical intervention, after surgery, accompanying patients at the stages of chemotherapy or radiotherapy, and in case of relapse and continuation of the disease, transition to palliative medicine. Keywords: oncology, colorectal cancer, psychological stress, distress, quality of life, psychological support, rehabilitation of cancer patients.
