Abstract:
Indian modernism is an endogenous structural causality that has used and continues to use exogenous discourses for its development. Linked to the Independence movement, it became a part of the project for national self-determination, and the artists and art historians asserted the endogenous cultural system over the Raj’s imposed cultural system on philosophical, historiographical, aesthetic, religious, and social grounds. The artists reached into India’s society, traditions, past, and folk and tribal practices to find their endogenous subject matter and to define their way of seeing. Th

This will be achieved by showing that Lystra was a Hellenistic city of some importance with a varied population. It will be argued that the initial reaction of the Lystrians to the miraculous healing of the cripple is to be understood as representing typical Graeco-Roman notions. This will include Luke's use of a legend which not only adds local colouring to the narrative but also introduces Graeco-Roman theme

The subject of this thesis is the relationship between eschatology and history in the Christian community for which Luke-Acts was written. Chapter 1 formulates the problem in terms of Luke's eschatology. It argues that Luke and his community thought of the End as 'near' and that Luke's historical perspective affected his eschatology. Luke-Acts represents a community that held a relevant eschatological hope and was aware of continuing history. This is the interpretive problem this thesis seeks to enlighten. The perspective to be used in approaching this problem is that of sociological analysis.

Abstract:

Abstract:
In 1990, the Americans with Disability Act (ADA) was enacted to support disabled Americans as they sought to procure equality in society and the workplace. Despite these intentions, full implementation of the ADA has been fraught with court challenges and legislative amendments. As it currently stands, it is unclear as to how the judicial system is collectively interpreting a qualified disability. Using Clark and Connolly's interpretation of legal textualism as the theoretical foundation, the purpose of this case study of the Americans with Disabilities Act was to better understand and explore

Para esta propuesta el problema de la confianza será abordado a partir de un criterio ético-normativo y desde una mirada universalista, razón por la cual, nuestro propósito será estudiar cuáles son sus posibilidades e imposibilidades interpretativas, principalmente al alero de

Abstract:
When Taiwan’s Civil Code of Marriage banned same-sex marriage, it contradicted the nation’s constitutional freedom and equality clauses. In order to implement the Right to Marry and Freedom of Marriage amendments, Taiwanese LGBTQ activists took legal action to change this inequality within the marital status. This thesis analyses how Taiwan came to legalise same-sex marriage through litigation and legal reform. By examining the legal grounds, motivation and strategies that went into implementing the same-sex marriage law in Taiwan, the analysis follows the stages of legal reform and evaluates
