Abstract:
Injection is a common technique and has an essential role in prevention and treatment. Safety injection practice had been instructed by the Ministry of Health in 2012 in order to enhance injecting quality. This was a cross-sectional study, had been implemented aimed to describing safety injection practice of clinical nurses in Ho Chi Minh City Institute of Traditional Medicine in 2020. The study recruited 55 clinical nurses and was implemented from June to November 2020. 495 injections, including 275 intramuscular injections (5 per nurse) and 220 intravenous ones (4 per nurse), were observed.

Abstract Background Botulinum toxin (BTX) intramuscular injections are an effective treatment for spasticity in acquired brain injury. Despite use since the 1980s, issues concerning technique, dose and long-term side-effects remain unresolved. For example, the safety of BTX in warfarinised patients is unclear. There are two studies reporting the risk of intramuscular injections in patients receiving anticoagulant therapy with regard to possible local haematoma formation. There is no advice on this subject in the manufacturers’ summary of product characteristics for the original brand of warfar

Necrotizing soft tissue fasciitis (NSTIs) or necrotizing fasciitis is an infrequent and serious infection. Herein, we describe the clinical course of a female patient who received a diagnosis of NSTIs after gluteus intramuscular injection. It has recently been shown that subdiaphragmatic vagotomy blocks some of the effects of inflammatory stimuli on brain-controlled functions. Therefore, vagal afferent fibers have been proposed to play a prominent role in the communication pathways between the immune system and the brain. In the present study, we investigated the effect of subdiaphragmatic vagotomy on fever induced by intraperitoneal or intramuscular injection of lipopolysaccharide (LPS) or muramyl dipeptide (MDP), which are both cytokine-inducing agents in guinea pigs. Abstract:
Abstract The development of new injectable molecules for different diseases and reformation of first-generation pharmaceuticals has led to growing interest in making autoinjectors usable for different medications. The major challenge in this quest is the complexity of injecting highly viscous drugs in large volumes. This research aims to develop a dynamic model to describe the influence of drug viscosity and volume on the injection process and evaluate the sensitivity of medication fluid behaviour to variations in component dimensions of the autoinjector fluid delivery system.
