The demand for wide range and precise information on forests promotes continuous development of forest inventory methods, owing to the fact that compilation of reliable data is prerequisite not only for improving forest management schedules but also planning land use and natural environment management. In the reality of contemporary forestry, a requirement to improve forest inventory methods stems from obligation to acquire information on broadly understood issues of forestry as well as the protection of nature and environment. The Chinese government has pledged to peak carbon emissions by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2060. Industrial parks are the key to achieving the carbon peak and neutrality in industrial sectors. In this study, a comprehensive CO2 emissions inventory was established for industrial parks, including three parts: energy consumption, industrial process, and waste disposal. Abstract:
Additive manufacturing is often referred to as resource-efficient or even sustainable manufacturing with very little reliable scientific data to support the claims. Here we have made a comparative life cycle inventory of the energy and raw material flows during PBF-LB AM and CNC machining of three components having different geometrical features and functionalities: gear, impeller and manifold. The scope of this study was on the manufacturing phase of the components (from gate-to-gate). The energy and material consumptions were measured, with emphasis on providing accurate, transparent and rel

Abstract Objectives/Scope This work aims to develop a systematic methodology for the optimisation of maintenance inventory management, independent of industry or project lifecycle stages (greenfield and brownfield). The objective is to enable operators to integrate the use of ‘lite’ dynamic optimisation and recommender systems into existing or proposed business processes, systems, and ways of working. Additionally, this work aims to explore methodologies for enabling the sustainment and ongoing improvement of such systems within a complex asset management context. Methods, Procedures, Process

<p>Oversize load passages over bridges are one of the research issues related to sustainable development that engineering and scientific teams around the world have to deal with . The article presents the scope of activities that enabled the passage of an oversized vehicle with a total weight of over 300 tons over a reinforced concrete slab. The bridge load capacity is 30 tons. In order to assess the capacity of the bridge, detailed visual inspection, inventory, tests during a load test, field and laboratory tests of concrete, location and inventory of reinforcement, static and strength

Mojave National Preserve (MOJA) in the Mojave Desert of southern California hosts an extensive geologic record, with units ranging in age from the Paleoproterozoic (2.5 to 1.7 billion years ago) to the Quaternary (present day). MOJA topography is dominated by numerous mountain ranges hosting extensive geological exposures divided by expansive valleys, dunes, and a low elevation dry salt lake. Some geological units are fossil-bearing, both within the preserve and in adjacent lands outside the boundaries of the preserve. A fundamental responsibility of the National Park Service (NPS) is to ensure that park resources are preserved, protected, and managed in consideration of the resources themselves and for the benefit and enjoyment by the public. Through the inventory, monitoring, and study of park resources, we gain a greater understanding of the scope, significance, distribution, and management issues associated with these resources and their use. Cuyahoga Valley National Park (CUVA) was established as Cuyahoga River National Recreation Area on December 27, 1974, to preserve and protect the Cuyahoga River Valley and its historic, scenic, natural, and recreational values. While not explicitly mentioned in the park?s mission statement, paleontological resources preserved at CUVA are nevertheless of importance, particularly when considering the significant fossil discoveries made elsewhere across northeast Ohio. The upper Paleozoic geologic strata of CUVA encompass sedimentary rocks dating from the Late Devonian to the Early Pennsylvanian,
