The inversion stability of geological data can be enhanced by increasing the number of observation data or improving the accuracy of it. For the purpose of increasing the input parameters, the joint inversion algorithm based on Marquette’s method is introduced to the helicopter-borne electromagnetic system. Since double parameters of both the horizontal coplanar and vertical coaxial coils were taken into account, the stability of the inversion process is greatly improved. In fact, the joint inversion algorithm not only enhances the inversion’s stability, but also overcomes the limitation of th

In total, 77 different types of inherited inversion sequences and 184 different types of somatic inversions were found. The median percent frequency of inherited inversions was 1.4% and karyotypic divergence between populations was very low. Most hereditary inversions were endemic and always in a heterozygous state. A regime where cloud top was 100–200 m above the inversion base [cloud inside inversion (CII)] was frequently observed at central Arctic Ocean sites, while observations from Barrow, Alaska, indicate that cloud tops were more frequently constrained to inversion base height [cloud capped by inversion (CCI)]. Cloud base and top heights were lower, and temperature inversions were also stronger and deeper, during CII

The lack of the low-frequency information in field data prohibits the time- or frequency-domain waveform inversions from recovering large-scale background velocity models. On the other hand, Laplace-domain waveform inversion is less sensitive to the lack of the low frequencies than conventional inversions. In theory, frequency filtering of the seismic signal in the time domain is equivalent to a constant multiplication of the wavefield in the Laplace domain. Because the constant can be retrieved using the source estimation process, the frequency content of the seismic data does not affect the

SUMMARY Uterine inversion is an uncommon complication of the puerperium and it is an even rarer complication of the non-puerperal period. In this way, uterine inversions are classified into two groups, being of puerperal origin due to obstetric problems and non-puerperal origin due to gynecological problems. In general, a non-puerperal uterine inversion occurs as a possible complication of a sub mucosal leiomyoma, after an expansive process, a dilation of the cervix occurs and thus its protuberance over the vaginal canal.

This thesis presents a novel numerical synthesis technique based on the time reversal property of the Transmission-Line Matrix method (TLM). It allows the designer to generate the geometry of a passive circuit from its desired frequency response using alternate forward and backward time-domain analyses. This approach opens new doors in microwave synthesis and offers an advantageous alternative to the traditional synthesis techniques using frequency domain analysis. To demonstrate and validate the procedure, an inductive obstacle inside a waveguide will be synthesized.

Abstract:
AbstractThe dam site of Kaluma Hydropower Station is located on the Nile River in northern Uganda. It is a diversion power station with a total installed capacity of 600 MW. The gneissic fissures and medium dip fissures in the plant area not only reduce the strength of the rock mass, but also easy to form adverse combinations and cuts, which adversely affecting the stability of the cavern. Therefore, surrounding rock deformation and block instability are the key factors affecting the stability of underground caverns. Based on the field investigation data, according to the research of geological prototypes such as rock mass structural plane investigation and quality classification, this paper uses the finite element numerical analysis software FLAC3D to establish and calculate the numerical model, adjusts the boundary conditions of the model through parameter inversion, and then calculates the stress and strain of each part of the rock mass, so as to evaluate the excavation stability of underground powerhouse construction. The actual situation of construction and excavation verifies the accuracy of numerical analysis and calculation.
