Abstract:
Angola has 14 protected areas throughout the country. Iona National Park is one, but due to the civil war few studies about the mammals were conducted here. This study aims to present a first preliminary checklist of the mammal fauna of this park and its surroundings. For this purpose, recent observation data (based on camera traps, opportunistic observations and records of reliable sources) and historical data (available in bibliography, museum collections and grey literature) were compiled and critically reviewed. Wholeness and healing tend to be found at the margin of theological and Christian debate which means that the discourse surrounding the topics may be fragmented and various in different groups. The Iona Community has been involved in Divine Healing since 1938 and has developed an ethos of openness which has absorbed other forms of discourse. These have included what are generally thought of as 'New Age' ideas, medical practice and those associated with Rudolf Steiner. This thesis argues that George MacLeod, Church of Scotland minister and popular radio preacher, developed a distinctive Christian social vision whilst working in Govan, in the 1930s. For renewal, he promoted aspects of liturgical and sacramental traditions within Scoto and Anglo-Catholicism and reinterpreted doctrine and scripture in the light of modern scientific and biblical scholarship, encouraging more sophisticated expressions of faith for increasingly literate c
